Pint Shop - Birmingham
The Sunday roast was excellent and the service was great. The staff were excellent in accommodating my family incl. two prams. We will definitely be back for another Sunday roast.
Food was nice, good service and a great selection of beers.
We booked a table for a pre-theatre meal for 4 people, we arrived early and were warmly greeted on entering Restaurant, and shown to our table. Staff were all very pleasant and efficient, the service was excellent and the food likewise. Both ordering and serving of drinks and food were at a comfortable pace, not feeling rushed and never having to wait long. Staff regularly checked if everything was ok without being intrusive. This was our first visit and all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and would definitely go back.
Great find, recently opened, good food but slightly spoilt by unimaginative desert offer, we were a group of four and no one could find a desert they liked, needs more work in this area.
Good food, good beer, & good service. Will definitely go back
Visited the pint shop for dinner on Wednesday. The bar staff need to work on customer service. I had a booked a table for 6 persons and wanted them to let the restaurant know that i was here, but wanted to wait downstairs at the bar with a drink for the other people. Apparently this is too difficult for them to figure out.
Food was nice but slow to come out - we had 2 meals sent and then taken back as the rest were not ready.
Good selection of gins and beers - just need to work on customer service
Lovely establishment, i had sunday lunch, they couldnt give me mint or cranberry sauce which is imperative for my sunday lunch however they offered alternative condiments but they werent to my taste.
The food was tasty and hot and would order again, quick and efficient service and lovely waitress who couldnt do enough.
Nice looking room to eat in. Food was delicious. Pork belly was too small, needed mash or something to bulk it out.
I can recommend Paneer flat bread .
Loved chips (still had skin on potatoes so not greasy.)
Children's potion were generous and reasonably priced.
House wine was ok, gin cocktails fab.
Staff were polite and attentive. Our waitress was a funny onion! I thought she was hilarious, my friends thought she was slightly rude and dismissive!
Every course showcased cooking we had not experienced before
Home made crackers with the shared charcuterie board
The pork belly with cauliflower was excellent
The chocolate and milk ice cream so tasty
The food was good but expensive for what it is. We shared some bread- 4 small pieces with butter and crushed olives was £4 and it was ok but nothing special considering it’s bought in so requires no preparation by the restaurant. The food did have good flavour but a small bowl of fennel slaw was £4, flatbread £12 for what was a good kebab essentially. Overall lunch for two cost £43 - that’s bread to share, a main each , one side and one pint. Not good value when you consider other city centre lunch offerings.
Awesome Sunday roast and wonderful attentive staff - highly recommended
Nice place, had been looking forward to going for a while. The beer and food is good, but a bit pricey. I counted three English beers listed that were under 4%, one being only 3.2%, and all were over £5.20 a pint :-(
Super Sunday lunch. Toasties were spot on. My daughter in law scored a 10 which is unheard of. Will definitely be back!! Amazing selection of beers and gins.
Went for Sunday lunch ... wasn’t disappointed at all! Lovely food, great selection of gins and a huge array of beers, ales and IPAs.
Great location, awesome surroundings, and cracking staff.
booked for my birthday with friends as it was new to Birmingham. Nice greeting and ushered upstairs to a lovely room and table. Service really good throughout the meal. Issue for me is price v quality. 14 quid for chicken and a small portion of chips with a dipping sauce. 38 quid for a very ordinary bottle of Sancerre. I will return when the price reduces by a third.
Great night on the whole, great beer from the DeMolen brewery, food was very tasty but if I could raise 1 critique the plates that our god was served on was cold which in turn made my meal cold before I had finished but I’m sure that was just an oversight which could be rectified for the future
A really unique new place which we will definitely visit again. A bar with lots of beer choices but still appropriate for a family meal with kids. Great friendly service and an amazing beef roast!
I had been to the pintshop previously and had a very good dirty burger in their soft launch week so was excited to try something else on the menu. I had the crispy pork bites with ponzu sauce, it was very basic and the pork wasn't properly seasoned. For the main I had the beer brined flat iron chicken with garlic butter. The chicken was really tasty and moist and the fries were good, the garlic butter did not have enough garlic in it to carry the flavour. I do also think the price was a little high at £14.
Special note should go to our server who was fantastic, very friendly and available at all times, I will give it another go in a few months.
Excellent addition to Birmingham's bars/restaurants. Great food, beer, atmosphere and service!
Our first time at this new place in Birmingham town centre. Really quick, friendly service, great food and an amazing beer selection. We’ll definitely be going back for seconds.
Lovely staff & great beer. Food was ok just no my taste but excuted well. I would definitely return for beers , for the friendly staff and relaxed environment. Cheers
