Good as a whole, nothing spectacular. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was okay. The pumpkin ravioli is exceptional though!
I’ll go again but like I said as a whole it was okay
The waiter didn’t wear a face covering.
The guy with the hat, I assume is the owner, was just so loud and rushed us to order as soon as we sat down. He kept leaning over my friend to serve the people next to use and all round quite an uncomfortable experience. Veggie lasagne was greasy and my friends risotto was the one she didn't order... when she told the guy with the hat he wasn't having it and said she was wrong and did order what she was given... customers always right went out the window.
Nice atmosphere , friendly staff , delicious food and nice cocktails.
We definitely coming back , highly recommend
Terrible service. Would not recommend going to this restaurant
Amazing pasta, 10/10
Reservation didn’t seem to work as the restaurant didn’t have a table reserved. Food took over an hour to arrive and sadly wasn’t good when it arrived. Really disappointing as loved Pintus pre covid and we go regularly for coffee and to grab lunch, but this experience was awful :(
Really lovely food, lovely secret garden in the back with a marquee so nice and protected from the rain! Definitely recommended.
The food was good and very good value but the service was poor. The man who appeared to be the owner or manager was very abrupt and rushed us 3 times to order our drinks and meal for no apparent reason. Really off putting and unnecessary.
Really amazing food but were forced to order as soon as we sat down.
Lovely staff, great service & decent menu. Would recommend
This place is the Fawlty Towers of Northcote Road! The food was nice enough, the service...Rude head waiter ✅, incompetent staff ✅, head waiter rude to staff and diners ✅cock-ups in the kitchen ✅. Only go if you want this sort of entertainment with your meal.
Lovely staff, great food. Thank you!
Food was delicious and good wine, however main waiter (I think) was really quite rude- was scared to ask him anything as he was huffing and puffing whenever anyone asked him anything, shouting at the other waiters. After a few drinks it was entertaining but not very professional.
The service could've been better. Not the most pleasant place to go for dinner. Food was good but not amazing
No service of any kind for over 30 mins - eventually gave up and left
Food came about 3 minutes after ordering - clearly microwaved and my chicken dish was barely warm, and the vegetables tough and chewy. The rest of the food was fine but won’t be coming back.
Nice place with nice vibe. Sat near the heater which was great. Food portions were huge, felt bad leaving so much.
The food was tasty but the service was chaotic and our whole experience was extremely poor. We ordered a bottle of the chianti, but were told by (we assume) the owner that they had run out, and he would ‘do us a favour’ and bring us a bottle of another wine (which was more expensive). We assumed that we would not be expected to pay the full amount for the wine, but when our bill arrived we realised that we were in fact charged the full amount. Extremely poor customer service - it was not our fault that the more inexpensive wine had run out. Furthermore, the waiting staff were extremely overworked and stressed - many guests were waiting up to an hour for their food. Luckily we were not waiting that long. Also, the tables are not adequately spaced for social distancing - about half a metre away from each other. A really nice little bistro with so much potential, but terrible management. We will not be returning.
Lovely family cafe/restaurant.
Very laid back just how you would it in Italy.
Loved it & will definitely return.
Mario is a colourful character, definitely worth meeting to make your evening eventful & memorable. Would return!
Had the most bizarre experience at this cafe when meeting my friend for a catch-up. The owner was visibly furious and could be heard shouting at staff (and customers!) the entire time. Whilst I was in the middle of eating my salad he approached our table, lifted my plate and removed the menu from underneath me without saying a word. Every waiter / waitress who served us was miserable and we waited 30 mins for the bill having asked three times. Avoid this place if you’re in the area - there’s plenty other nice places on Notthcote Road to spend your money!
We were forced to order our bottle of water at the same time as the food. Apparently the waiter (very grumpy Old Italian waiter) did not want to make two trips inside. We then waited 45 minutes to be told they didn’t have the ravioli we ordered. Ordered something else and the food came out separately. Barely any apologies from anyone and no offer to take things off the bill.
I appreciate that restaurants are trying to get back on their feet but the rudeness from the main waiter was shocking. It looked like everyone else around us were experiencing the same thing too. I don’t think I’ll ever dine there again. Shame really.
Staff were unbelievably rude. was told to “WAIT” when we asked for drinks. Orange juice took 45 minutes to come even after asking for it 3 times. Staff made us feel like a burden. They attempted to overcharge us on the bill then got mad when we asked for it to be corrected. Over all a very poor experience.
The breakfast menu was full of stellar choices - my friend and I decided on halloumi omelette and the fried eggs on toast. Both were terrific.
Service initially was quite slow but this was the first week back after lockdown so I’m sure they were just getting into the swing!
Super cute deli inside as well. Will definitely be back.
Food was very average, service really poor and just a very chaotic vibe
Good local restaurant. Good price to quality ratio
Fast becoming our new favourite place to go. Perfect for outdoor dining
Absolutely delicious fish soup - wonderful flavours and lots of different fresh fish.
Great with the marquee at the back - quiet and warm.
Great service too.
Great outdoor set up for covid, lovely food and excellent service!
Wonderful food and service. Superb hospitality and very good value
Great food with great service! Very good value indeed.
We had a lovely evening, the staff were very attentive and offered suggestions. With the new restrictions we sat outdoors, there's a big covered garden and patio heaters out the front so it's not a problem even in October!
