Communication problems with the waiters. He hardly understood what we were saying (non-native speaker)
Native speaker waiter made two mistakes with the bill

Kingprawn risotto was dry and very fishy.
In beef with rice dish, rice was undercooked and also the meat/
Vegetarian main dish was very small.

Pisqus very tasty, but also really small portion

Loved the location, very cool

I thought the Pisco Sours at £8.5 we’re very expensive for a very small cocktail.

The food was ok, there were 5 of us. I guess considering the prices I expected a bit more finesse.

Staff were great, chatty & down to earth.

We were introduced to Pisqu by a son as a birthday gift. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience but if we had been paying we would have gone somewhere less expensive.

First thing to say is that the food is absolutely amazing - corn cakes, gorgeous salsa piquante, just exquisite.
The restaurant space is airy, plenty of natural light, and well-spaced upstairs where we ate. The physalis mojito (non-alcoholic) was a new and delightful experience for me! I recommend it.

They were a bit overwhelmed by an unexpected surge the evening we were there, I think - we arrived at our booking time and it was nearly 45 minutes before we had a drink in our hands, which felt like quite a long time. The staff were very pleasant and apologised for being so rushed off their feet. One thing I would say is that a waiter trying to convince a diner who has just asked whether the green risotto is vegetarian that they should order the King Prawn risotto thing instead is probably a waste of time - he tried to convince me prawns were okay for me to eat as a vegetarian... It was nice to be able to practice my Spanish but a bit non-plussing. :-)

The overall experience was good, with amazing food but rather slow service due to being unexpectedly busy. I would recommend!

Only 2 (of 5) of us ordered starters. We agreed that all food could be brought together. We sat down at 19:00 and at 20:15 we were still waiting for our food. On verge of leaving when food arrived. No real apology or explanation for long delay. Reason cited being because we had ordered starters and mains to be brought together! 2 beers taken off bill. Food excellent but overall poor experience which is a pity as I have enjoyed several excellent meals there previously.

We had the taste of Peru menu which included 3 courses, a pisco cocktail and coffee. We had intended to order from the a la carte but this was sufficient and gave good choices for vegetarians and carnivores. Food was well presented, nicely prepared and expertly seasoned. The chocolate mousse with matcha ice cream was fabulous! Service was nice and friendly but not too intrusive. Atmosphere was a little lacking as we ate earlier in the evening but was getting more lively as the evening progressed.

Very good service and extremely kind maitre-d who sat us in a quiet vault downstairs as one of the party were hard of hearing. Food was good, and well portioned, but didn't feel as fresh and Peruvian "tangy" as other well-known restaurants in London we have visited. We had a Peruvian with us and she felt the same.

Fabulous food and service. Energetic vibe around. Dishes i had were both fresh and full of taste, with vibrant smell of herbs. Excellent value for the West end where prices tend to be exhorbitant, but this place is very reasonable. Upmarket and trendy at the same time. Outstanding wine list.

The service was outstanding and the intention was there but the food was not so good unfortunatelly especially when it comes to value. Pisqu is trying to bring a high end vibe to Peruvian food but in reality it does not meet the expectations. We had the ceviche which was ok, the quinoa salad had loads of quinoa, a few chopped tomatoes and avocado with minimal seasoning and minimal dressing which was nothing special. The fish mains; hot ceviche had a very fishy smell to it. Grilled Seabass was the nicest dish. The corn cake was nice. The purple corn ice cream was too sweet. The staff was incredible so only if the food actually meets the intention then the price will be worth and we would go back.

This place and its food is amazing. No words needed. Healthy dining in a fabulous atmosphere. Service was charming. Well worth refined dining experience
but you feel the homely touch. You only know it is authentic if you have eaten in Peru and this place certainly is unlike other joints nearby. The dishes tried were extraordinary, especially the pisqu Pulpo octopus and corn cake. From start to finish Pisqu was full of flavours, great pisco cocktails too. Cannot wait to return.

The service was absolutely terrible. I booked a table for lunch at 2pm to celebrate my friend's birthday. We were planning to have the three course set menu, which we told the server. Our orders for drinks weren't taken for 20mins after sitting down. Eventually they arrived, and then we were able to order the food about 2.30pm. The portions were small but the food was tasty. After finishing our main courses, we waited for the dessert menu, eventually asking for it. We ordered desserts. About 15mins after ordering the desserts, the waitress came back and said the kitchen was closed and they wouldn't be able to provide desserts. We asked for the bill... and waited, watching her clean the (now empty) restaurant. After a long wait, we asked for the bill again, and eventually went to another restaurant in the area for our dessert! A strange and not pleasing experience! I was embarrassed I had taken my friends there for a celebration.

One of the most disappointing meals I've ever had in London. 50 minutes until we were served even our drinks. Had to get up from table repeatedly to try to corner a server and beg for something to drink or eat because no-one would even come speak to us. Ceviche, cassava croquettes and corn cake were good--simple and fresh. The mains were all bland and amateurly prepared (soggy skin on fish, soggy crackling on chewy pork belly, rubbery chicken). This chicken dish was £17, so fully priced, and was a few pieces of boneless thigh. Everything is garnished with the exact same lukewarm sweet potato puree and kernels of sweetcorn. The pork belly 'confit' was tough and the fat was congealed layers--hardly melt in your mouth and not appetising at all. Very little flavour or seasoning. The basement where we were seated was noisy, humid and stuffy and had no decoration at all--you really felt trapped down there with nowhere to look. The very sweet server kept apologising for it 'being so busy'. It was full, but hardly busy as there was no turnover of tables because no-one was being served. I should have known right away when we were ignored for over 5 minutes by the four servers at the door when we walked in, and cut my losses...

Appalling. We booked a table for 4 several weeks ago. On arrival we were seated at a window table and served by an excellent young man. Within 10 minutes, the owner came to our table and told us we were being moved downstairs because there was a workshop on our floor. Downstairs was cold, soulless and no tables had been prepared. We left. If they are unable to cater for workshops and other diners at the same time they should not accept bookings for both on the same day. It was a disgrace.

Responded on 18 March 2019

I apologise that you were moved downstairs. You seemed to enjoy your conversation with your peers, so I offered you a private and relaxing room. Our staff set up very quickly however, and I really regret that you didn't like the room. There were two customers dining along with the workshop group upstairs, and our downstairs was available to dine in. We could accept reservations apart from the workshop group on that day. This was the first time my 2 friends and I had eaten Peruvian food and it was excellent. Our charismatic waiter was so helpful and explained all the dishes to us. We decided to try everything from the set pre-theatre menu to share between us! From the ceviche (who knew how delicious raw fish in tigers milk is?) to the Pisco Sours (try the Picante for a zing) it was an all round fab experience. Will definitely go again.

We had a perfectly nice time, friendly service, nice food and great drinks. To start with the noise level was good but towards the end of our meal, 'music' was turned on which made conversation difficult. In a space as small as the upstairs restaurant this spoils things and is totally unnecessary.
