Pistache French Bistro
Prices are moderate and the recipes nutritionally healthy. Service is casual and efficient. The atmosphere is upbeat with a definite European flair. The interior is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, which defined most brasseries and bistros opened in 1920"s Paris. It boasts cozy seating with numerous red leather banquettes, a full bar and giant antique mirrors. The restaurant has a feel of "Always been there". It is classic, retro-modern and sophisticated but unpretentious.
The outdoor patio overlooks Centennial Park, the Fountains and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is shaded with overhead awning and seats 30 people in a Riviera-like setting.

Overall I feel as though the price of the food wasn’t reflected in it’s quality. The only real issues with the food were that the duck was chewy, I ordered it medium, not medium well and the mussels seemed to be overcooked as well and lacked flavor. Again the food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great.
The food and service are always excellent at Pistache. Tonight was no exception. This is the first time we visited since the Covid episode. It has been tough and with restaurants around town regarding the job that they are doing to protect customers and workers alike. I was very impressed with their arrangement. We sat outside on the patio as we have many times before. Tables had been removed which provided much more distance between guests. The spacing was very comfortable and we felt very safe and therefore, relaxed. The tables that were removed from the patio were positioned under beautifully set up white tents at the curb. They were very well lit and have become a great extension of the outside seating area. Well done! From our patio table, we had a fun view of the inside seating area. This, too, was very well spaced for a safe comfortable inside seating experience. Note that I covered the Covid thing, which, unfortunately, is very important, in to a regular review...
Our server, Alexis, took very good care of us and she was always there when we needed anything. We mostly tried many items and shared them among the 4 of us. First, we tried the Tomato Pie. It was a wonderful assemblage off tomato, cheese, and some tasty greens served atop a puffed pastry. It was delicious and a great way to start the meal. We then moved on to the Seared Tuna Crudo and the smoked salmon small plates. The tuna would have been a proudly offered appetizer at any top notch Sushi restaurant. It featured seared tuna, avocado, scallions, peppers, basil, and lemon aioli. The Smoked Salmon was thinly sliced and served with red onions, capers, eggs and creme fraiche. Both of these, which we shared as appetizers, were prepared with extremely fresh fish and the accompaniments were perfect. After reading the description of the Rossini Burger, we couldn’t resist. With its blend of Chuck, Brisket, and Short Rib Meat, it was among the best of burgers that I have ever had. Running out of space..

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner outside, in front, under the tent. The breeze from the water kept us comfortable. The service was top notch. The food was delicious and served hot. The tent location (because of the virus) has plenty of room between tables. And it was quiet! We were early but the restaurant was busy by 7 pm. Make a reservation.
It was a great experience in these Covid-19 times. We felt very safe, tabled well apart, very clean and all staff masked and gloved!! Food as always excellent and the service top class.
Appetizers were good but both our steak and duck main courses were very overcooked and not that tasty at all. Great disappointment versus our multiple pre-lockdown experiences at this same restaurant.
Pistache was most careful with COVID regulations, blocking tables and keeping people apart. Food and service were excellent.
Pistache - as always - was an amazing experience. From the atmosphere, to the staff, to the food, to the attention to detail - everything!! This is a "never go wrong" place in my opinion

They have done a very thorough job with safety and the Covid. We never felt we were in any jeopardy whatsoever. The food is consistently excellent which is the main reason we go there. The onion soup is to die for!!!!

Food was great; as always. You pay a little more, which is why we go for special occasions; but worth every dollar when it comes to quality of the food.
Looking forward to going again sometime down the road.

Authentic and Delicious. Try the Steak Au Poivre! Carefull social distancing practiced. Very safe ambiance. I took 2 neighbors for their first time at Pistache. They cannot wait to return. Outstanding salads and desserts too.
Excellent food and great service. We celebrated a birthday and had a very nice time. Drinks were great and the service during covid was thoughtful. Highly recommend going to dinner or lunch here.

We enjoyed the Rose Brunch on Saturday, with a variety of brunch dishes from which to choose and rose served from a large format bottle. The food is always wonderful at Pistache and the service is professional. We have enjoyed every visit to Pistache and look forward to many more.
The Bouillabaisse was outrageous.

Just excellent. Mussels were perfect as were the snails. Pepper steak was done to perfection.

This has always been a very good place so anything less than four stars is mostly COVID-related, such as slow service because of a reduced staff. But I'll take slow service over no service any day. At least they are making the effort to open for their longtime customers. We had brunch; our eggs benny were good but we went for the $30 carafe of mimosas (about six glasses) instead of the $10 by the glass and the champagne was practically undetectable. Next time we'll order the carafe and a separate glass of bubbly to beef it up, and we'll still come out ahead.
Nice location great staff. Steak Tartare is a must.

Celebrated Fathers Day
I ordered their New York sirloin - not recommended. It had no flavor, was watery and tasted like it had just come out of the freezer. My wife wanted the veggie burger but was told that the grill was not working and therefore could not have it. Overpriced and lacking in quality. Will not be returning.
