Our menu offers a wide variety of speciality dishes, which showcases the vivd flavors offered by southern Indian state of Kerala.
Consistently awesome! My neighbors frequent India Cafe often and we are never disappointed. The Chicken tikka masala is rich and flavorful , the chili beef is spicy and tangy. The jalapeño naan is not to be missed. Authentic Indian cuisine right in White Plains! Bravo!
Very good Indian food in downtown White Plains. Large portions. Enough to take home for a second meal for each of us. Flavorful and fresh.
There with work colleagues. Great food and atmosphere
This is the third time within the past 12 months that I have dined at India Cafe each time bringing a different friend or colleague. The food and service are excellent. Noise is a minimum so conversations can be had. Every new person who I have brought to the Cafe has agreed with my recommendation.
Friendly, prompt, and helpful service. Food was delicious!! Ambiance was very pleasant. Will definitely return.
Wonderful experience for a large group, food was delicious, service was excellent
Table by the windows, wait staff recognized us and knew what we wanted and how we wanted it. Great food!
Excellent service and delicious food! Will be returning!
Outstanding food - we had a vegetarian meal of masala dosa, pakora, chana masala, aloo gobi, sag paneer and malai kofta. All dishes were perfectly spiced and very flavorful. Excellent service and good beer selection.
Food is consistently amazing. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The only area in need of improvement is the timing of the entrees. They should all come at the same time.
Authentic Indian dining experience. Intelligently seasoned to perfection. Definitely not “spiced down” for Americans.
Generous portions will make for a great lunch at home next day!
Spicy food, slow service. If you are a bit wary of too much spice, better to chose mild (we went with medium). This was particularly the case with the mushroom tikka--great veggie concept but really too hot to enjoy. On the other hand, the chicken tikka masala was outstanding. Unfortunately, the table service was extremely slow, even though only 3 tables were occupied (including ours).
Food was delicious, but the service was poor. We arrived at 8 pm on a Friday night and our food wasn't served until after 9 pm even though people who came in after us were served. The staff were friendly and apologetic, but it was not a good first experience. However, we will given the restaurant a 2nd opportunity because the food was so good.
Authentic Indian food at reasonable prices! The others in town can’t compete with such high quality and price. Love it more each time we go!
Amazing as usual. Just got their wine and beer license. Great prices.
I am a regular at India Cafe and I am never disappointed. The food is so good that I order a different item on the extensive menu each time I go. They have a great variety of dishes from the various regions in India. It is refreshing to find an Indian restaurant that doesn't limit it's menu to the usual favorites. They now have a wine and beer license. It's truly the best Indian restaurant in Westchester.
My neighbors and I are regulars. We continually order new items from their extensive menu. Fresh and authentic Indian food. BYOB is great 👍🏿
We are regulars at this neighborhood restaurant. We can’t get enough. It’s easily the best Indian food in Westchester. The prices are reasonable and the food is always great. The flavors are distinct and delicate. The chicken kappas is amazing as is the selection of Naan: coconut, jalapeño, garlic. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it. It BYOB too!
The wait service was terrible!and the restaurant was not crowded. When it was, the service was worse. the food was great. the ambience was meh! but, if they want return business they had better pay more attention to the customers at the tables. They all (4 ) seemed preoccupied with drying dishes, and adding up receipts...
take out from now on
We have eaten at India Cafe 6 times and the food and service are always top notch.
It is the most authentic Indian food I have had in Westchester and most of NYC. The flavors are complex and in addition to traditional fare, the extensive menu includes dishes not often seen on other menus. You can bring your alcoholic beverage of choice, but try the mango lassi!
We’ve enjoyed India Cafe about a half dozen times since they opened. We’ve always had very good experiences and recommend the place. First, be adventurous. One of thing we love about India Cafe is the diversity of dishes on menu. And these include standard favorites as well many dishes we never had seen before at other Indian places in the area.
Prices are super reasonable and service is always very good. Only downer is the lack of a liquor license. An enterprising retail deli or market would make good money selling Indian beer!
Bottom line ... we’re a big fan.
Best and most authentic Indian restaurant in Westchester County!
Friendly and accommodating staff, large portions and lots of variety. The are many items not found in other Indian restaurants.
Be adventurous. Try something new. The wait staff did not steer us wrong. Try the chicken curry and various vegetable dishes.
Just found out about the place a few days ago. Me and my friend had the lunch buffet. And I have to say the food was absolutely fantastic.
The lunch plate offers a lot of variety and options. The food was not greasy and was flavorful. The mutton was excellent, it had a little spice to it, but I found it really balanced overall.
The restuarant has a nice Asian decor and has a nice ambience. It was a very fulflling experience overall and I would definitely recommend this place for an office lunch out or who ever would like to enjoy mouthwatering Indian food.
One of the most authentic indian food I have tasted in New York.
Had dined in their first restuarant(which I think they have converted to a take out) and therefore knew before hand that the food was great. What suprised me was the new decour, which I found to be really colorful and vibrant. The new place was way more spacious and perfect for group get togethers, which I felt was lacking in their previous restuarant. Overall a very enjoyable meal at a fairly reasonable price.
PS: Even though I felt that most dishes there was awesome, if you are ever going there on the weekends one dish I would definitely recommend is the duck roast, which is truly exquisite.
