Weekend trip to NY. We love the one in
Miami and wanted to try this one. Food was outstanding. Great service. Such a fun restaurant.
Fantastic vegan cuisine and outstanding service in a lovely venue! First time here. Will definitely be back.
Staff was very friendly, available and attentive. The food was flavorful. The atmosphere was nice. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Pricing was good, commensurate with the service.
Amazing. Best vegan food I ever had!
Food was OK, I expected more. Service was really poor.
I tried the Vegan Lasagna and it was DELICIOUS! the nut based vegan cheese are so good. so flavorful. The flavors of everything items matched perfectly and compliments each other very well. Cocktails are also very delicious. Good Portion too. One thing i want to point out is the Mushroom sides. I love mushroom the flavor is great but it's a tad too salty.
I still want to try their sister vegan pizza restaurants next door!
Wonderful! Perfect spot!
Everything was great!!!!
Great server and food
This place is AMAZING!!! The food is insane, it’s reasonably priced, and the service is perfect. So happy to have an awesome vegetarian place nearby.
The food and service were great. However, the windows were all open which made the inside dining area extremely hot and muggy. The noise from the traffic was also a negative.
Fantastic food, lovely helpful staff.
Great food and amazing service. Great option for plant based dinner.
Excellent food and ambiance
I honestly don’t know how people are unable to go vegan when food and restaurants like this exist! Most of the dishes were gluten free and every dish we had was excellent as was the cocktail my friend drank. The service was great too!! I’ve been recommending this place since I went on Friday and will 100% be going back again soon!!
The menu looked good, the photos of the food looked good - that is where it stopped. It was bordering on inedible. We had just eaten at ABCV and Loring place and both were great. This was really tasteless and expensive. I wanted to like it but it was a NO GO for me
It wasn’t worth the price ... dishes were poorly prepared nothing special ... not very tasty ... the kimchi dumplings had no kimchi in the actual dumpling ... the cauliflower had no taste and way too much oil ... the Brussel sprouts were bland and not roasted enough ... the smoked hummus was just loaded up with paprika and not smoked at all... the gyoza was not bad and the Caesar salad was ok ... I wouldn’t recommend it
The wait staff did not do a good job of telling us what we should order. I specifically asked them if we had too much food, and they said it was fine. We ordered way too much food, including two mains that we did not touch. The Spicy Udon was not normal udon. It was a buckwheat noodle in a heavy peanut sauce. The menu definitely needs to be changed to reflect what the restaurant is serving. Had we had known, we would have never ordered the Spicy Udon. The highlight was the kelp noodles, which were amazing. If I ever go back, I would order 1/3 of the dishes that we had originally ordered. It is very hit or miss.
My mother and I absolutely loved our visit to Plant Food + Wine! Our server, Mare, was wonderful. She was friendly yet professional and very knowledgeable of the menu. Service was prompt and timely, which I definitely appreciate to experience since I serve at a fine dining restaurant. Our food was INCREDIBLE. Everything was beautifully seasoned, perfectly prepared, and delightfully plated. We started with the cheese tasting which was a magical culinary adventure on its own! The truffle cheese was my favorite. We ate quite a bit of food, but I left Plant feeling so good mentally and physically. I cannot wait to return!
My wife and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much. The dishes were creative and very tasty 😋. We loved relaxing to a nice glass of red wine. The service was also very good. We would come back again ... thank you 🙏
We need more Plant based amazing restaurants across the country!! Please come to FL ...
The space and service were adequate even nice. However, the portions were extremely small and extremely expensive. The description of the dishes were not accurate. For example, the ‘lasagna’ did not have any pasta and was served cold. We ended the dinner with a small piece of coconut cake ($15!) which was rubbery and just sweet.
I’m a vegetarian, but I don’t think with go back there. There are many better choices in the neighborhood.
Great food and staff
The food was delicious. We had the cheese plate ( truffle flavor was by far my favorite but they were all great). The kelp noodles had a great texture and the flavor was innovative and memorable. The maitake mushroom side was really good, the cauliflower was also very good but was a bit simple. That was somewhat disappointing but by no means bad ( we ate all of it). For dessert we had the banana pie, bon bons, and tiramisu. All were beyond amazing but for the price the bon bons aren't worth it. We tried a few cocktails and felt they learned towards the sweeter side, the Paloma is very sweet ( which I like). Wine selection was also great. The price was the only issue, for ( in my opinion) a fairly equivalent level of flavor innovation you can go candle 79 or Blossom, order the same amount of food and drinks, and save $50-$75. That being said, the atmosphere was phenomenal and perfect for a date or special occasion.
For a NYC restaurant with Wine in the title I would have expected a much larger menu, and if the wine menu was small I would have expected eclectic choices being provided--not necessarily expensive , but interesting. Got neither. Still beautiful late May weather and outside dining was all that was necessary for a good meal--and the food was good and well presented.
Well portioned food with plenty of open-air opportunities. The restaurant keeps all its terrace doors open during the summer. It is an entirely plant-based culinary experience and the restaurant does it extremely well. I had the wild mushrooms sandwich: done perfectly -- I couldn't have asked for more.
They still have raw dishes on the menu which is a huge plus! Everything was super tasty and delicious. The staff was ultra attentive and welcoming.
Great concept. A bit too expensive for the quality of the food and wine (except for the dumplings and the pinot noir).
Was disappointed with food, nothing special. Drinks took a long time when restaurant wasn't busy. Kelp noodles with cacio e pepe was a cold dish! Pasta dish was not good. Very overpriced for supossedly good vegan dining.
They were good to accommodate us even though the hostess felt like she was already full.
Food was largely dull, paste and bland. Drinks were good, service the same, but a bit slow. Hugely disappointed.
Truly delicious food and perfect for pre-theatre dining in the neighborhood. Highly recommend.
loved it - amazing food and wonderful staff... will be back!
My second visit to Plant +. Dined with my niece who is hardcore vegan. Once again the food was outstanding!
The restaurant was virtually empty early on a Sunday night. Yet out entrees were brought to the table before had even gotten a third of the way through our first course.
Wonderful! Definitely my go-to spot in Lower Manhattan. Amazing!
This was my first Matthew Kenny experience and while the ambiance/service was great, the food was severely lacking for the price. Came with a friend and split the following dishes:
-KING OYSTER MUSHROOM - SUNCHOKE GYOZA: 5/5 this was probably the highlight of the meal. It had good flavor and decent serving size
-FARRO + FENNEL SAUSAGE: 3/5 the chickpeas and chutney saved this dish- really delicious. While the "sausage" was flavorful, it was much more of a meatloaf than a sausage and overall had a very mushy texture. As a vegetarian who is used to "meat" products, this wasn't a huge problem for me, but it was a bit of a turn off to my friend who is not a vegetarian.
-SPICY UDON: 2/5 this was easily my least favorite part of the meal. There wasn't a lot of flavor and while both my friend and I are notorious members of the clean plate club, neither of us had the desire to finish this.
Overall, I don't think I will be coming back, nor am I dying to go to another one of his restaurants.
Excellent as usual. Great service, great food and ambience. Perfect place for a romantic date!
