This was a dream restaurant to come to. I’m from out of town and value a connective ambiance with my food and plant food + wine exceeded my imagination. Our server was so kind and gave great suggestions. The noise level was so quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be returning and recommending to everyone!

This is one of my favorite spots in the South Bay.
The food was okay ish and service was rude and mediocre. There was no sense of comfort or hospitality which I have experienced in dinner service. I overheard the same experience from other diners. It was a special brunch but they didn’t live up-to the expectations. I would come for dinner again but not for lunch and brunch.
Fabulous service and amazing food. Beautiful low light setting with candle light and a fireplace. I’m an omnivore and this meal was one of the most satisfying flavor journeys I’ve been on.
The unique seasonal menu made picking just one entree incredibly difficult. So, we decided to share a few! The meal was so good and I can’t wait to go back again… soon!!

I had the pleasure of trying this restaurant for the first time this evening. I have to emphasize PLEASURE!!! We have eaten in most high end vegan restaurants around the globe and we both agreed hands down, this is the winner in our quest so far. In Every dish , each bite was a flavor bomb. Complex and delicious. The sourdough with the plant based butter , the beet tartar we had the Oyster Mushroom as one main course and the Trumpets mushrooms for my wife . I cannot accurately describe the flavor and how the combinations created such variety. The presentation is gorgeous, the flavor twists delicious.
On top of all that. The back outdoor patio is a great space for dinner under the trees. Mathew Kenney has certainly gotten it right. The staff believe in what they are doing , all very nice and engaging. We met the GM Martin Chavez who is as good at what he does as the chef. It's high end foodie delight.

The food was beyond our expectations . Combining spices with such elegance and creativity , won first prize. We ordered 5 cold dishes, each one was outstanding . We had 3 hot plates that were delicious.
We sat out in the garden area which had a very zen like feel.
This is a must restaurant to experience. We will be back again !

Our first visit was for our anniversary and we definitely made the right choice. We ordered an array of dishes to share and absolutely loved all of them. Our server, Jesse, was also fabulous. Already excited to go back again.

Always the most beautiful and tast vegan food in town. Love PFW because it is vegan but without all the sudo vegan fried food trying to mimic a vegan version of non-vegan fare. Thanks as always for a great meal, a beautiful outdoor space, and a romantic date night!
The fettuccine was outstanding. The server recommended it and I wish I ordered two. The fig salad was great. Service was personable and pleasant. Wine was delicious. Keep doing what you're doing!

We ate here while on our honeymoon. PFW was one of the top highlights from our trip. Could not recommend more, and we'll eat here every time we're in LA!!!
Excellent experience and food quality
I was SO impressed! The ambiance was immaculate. I ordered the Market vegetables and my boyfriend ordered the Fritata. He was less impressed with the frittata and wish that he had ordered the market scramble like I had. The market scramble tasted better than any regular egg scramble I have ever had. Best vegan food hands down. The potato hash was unimpressive, and felt undercooked. We also ordered a side of bread (not on the menu but should be) and that was great: perfectly toasted sourdough bread with olive oil drizzled on top.

Everything we ordered tasted bitter and stale. We told the server that this isn’t what we were expecting, especially having a very good experience at chef Matthew Kenny’s restaurant in Chicago. The server’s response was ‘all his restaurants are different so we can’t expect similar food quality, which was surprising.
The food and drinks were a huge let down, definitely not worth the money.
Great ambience and wonderfully creative foods that are all vegan. It was a joy to not have to worry about dairy.
I absolutely love this place. I am single and go out to eat by myself, and this is the perfect place for me. The ambiance is elegant and quiet, they are very dog friendly, the food is just amazing, and in particular, I have enjoyed the staff that is very professional. Grant, the waiter that helped me during my brunch visit is extremely knowledgeable, professional, but warm, and very kind, he made my experience memorable. I will go back and promote this place to everyone I know.
The outside patio is by far one of the nicest I've been in. Recognized very little from food or drink menu, so you order on faith that everything is good. My dish was very good (Nyokee pasta with summer veggies). My girlfriend's was a little disappointing (Oyster mushrooms something). This was her birthday and Food Plant & Wine by it's prices is an "occasion" restaurant...based on final bill.
Everything delivered to the table was beautifully presented and tasted just as lovely. Avocado tikka with the potato flatbread was delicious. The zucchini lasagna was omg. Brute pesto with beautiful tomatoes. Kelp pasta was also delish. Tried a wonderful biodynamic wine from two Sheppard’s vineyard. A+. And the coconut banana cream pie. OMG. I’m a fan. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
My partner and I celebrated my birthday here. It was perfect! The food was incredible, the ambience was romantic and quite out back, and the service was wonderful!
lovely ambiance, we had a group of 6 and sat upstairs which was private and quiet. Food was good and unique but pricier than expected.
Plant food+wine is definitely priced like an upscale restaurant. Which is why it would have been nice to have more stable chairs and good seating in the outdoor patio. The food was quite good and creative. We ordered the avocado tikka, fettucine, and oyster mushroom entree and everything tasted good although not mindblowing. The portion sizes are miniscule though and I think they should improve on that. For dessert we got the banana coconut cream pie which was the servers recommendation. The bruleed banana was phenomenal but the ice cream was just sweet with not much else going on in it in terms of flavor. I wish there was more creativity in the flavor profile like the inclusion on pandan leaf or pineapple to complement the tropical flavors. Their wine list the phenomenal though. I got an orange wine which was delightful and paired well with the entrees we ordered. All in a good experience but certainly not the best out there!
The outdoor patio area was just lovely! romantic setting. Service was excellent, the staff are very knowledgable about the food and the preparation and they are personable and truly ant you to have a great experience. The food was truly fabulous, maybe the best Vegan meal I have had, ever! The fettuccine truffle was perfect and the trumpet mushroom dish was spicy and delectable.
This is a truly great vegan dining experience, you owe it to yourself to give them a try!
Awesome brunch! I’ve been here for dinner many times and have always enjoyed it but never for brunch… So glad I went this past weekend! The hazelnut mochi waffles were to die for good! The frittata was also amazing… Highly recommend you go and share plates so you can try a little bit of everything.
