Beautiful Vibe, at one point music got very loud at the patio, but other than that, amazing. Chase was wonderful.
So went to restaurant last night and unfortunately can not recommend this place anymore. We had a 7 pm reservation and there was a line waiting to see the host - who seemed overwhelmed. He ended up putting people after us into another room as they seemed to be regulars. Then we were finally seated outside and the bench was wobbly and should have been fixed before sitting people there. Then we waiting for 20 minutes - nobody checked in has to ask the host for water. Did flag someone down and mentioned we were waiting for now close to 30 minutes and she was nice - but still did not course correct. Still nobody came over so we decided to leave - given the poor service we didn’t want to pay a large amount for dinner as we were then concerned with the quality of what came out of the kitchen. This was a special event for someone’s birthday - and we ended up scouting around the corner to cafe Gratitude where is was night and day service and food. Bummed out as it used to be a go to special spot for us.
First off - Lovely people working there; great food if you like Vegan and a good vibe and cool crowd.
But they are reeeeeeaaaaaaal sloooooooowwwwww. Haha. Not the Navy Seals of service. Buelllller Buelller?
Every time I go, I’m reminded they do not have a fast break offence. If you are from NYC you might go insane.
But I’ll go back again! Cause it’s cool and the food is creative and I like the mojo.
We enjoyed the ambience, unusual vegan food and attentive staff. Surprised by the high bill!! Wine expensive! Most items were small in size and appetizer .
The food was mediocre. The service was poor. I don’t think I will go back.
Love this place...patio is simply lovely. Fun to walk around Abbot Kinney before/after as well. Order the cashew cheese raclette..you wont be sorry!
I’m an advanced cook for plant based foods. I can tell when food is fresh and the chef knows what they’re doing. PLant Food and Wine is the place where they have both. As a plus, the atmosphere is inviting and the service is outstanding.
One of my all time favs. I’ve been to both the NYC and Venice location and type service and food at both are spectacular. The outdoor space in Venice can’t I’d wonderful. I’m looking forward to trying Matthews Chicago restaurant next month.
The valentine's dinner was quite lovely with excellent presentation. I especially loved the presentation of the soup. We have had Brandon as our server twice and he is very personable. Service is always excellent
Awesome as always! Fantastic vegan food, great wine and a wonderful patio.
Came in to celebrate the anniversary of our engagement and spoke to them prior to the dinner. I’d pre ordered a dessert for my fiancé which they didn’t bring out. Wasn’t expecting it for free but would have been nice if they stuck a candle in it. Spoke about it at length on the phone when the restaurant confirmed our reservation. Instead they just brought back out dessert menus. Had some of the cheese. One was nice the other tasted fine, but very similar to what I buy at Whole Foods so not that exciting.
Left w a stomach ache. Not sure if it was from too much salt or oil or what.
The most amazing vegan food I’ve ever had
My husband and I flew into town to celebrate our anniversary at Plant Food + Fine and everything was amazing!
Service, food, atmosphere, decor, everything was amazing.
Great place for date night!
Taking WFPB dining to a whole new level!
German Celebrity Bastian Yotta with wife is attending. Please prepare best table. mister Yotta has 5 Mio Followers on social Media and will share his experience
The food is lacking in flavor, just adding salt makes a difference.
Ambiance and service was great but the food was very salty! :(
I would make sure to let them know the water is quadruple the price (same water ).... I would say don’t order the fingerlings because apparently letting or showing that half are obviously burnt which was brought out to me anyway indicating I guess a nonchalant vibe was at play... once the obvious issue with the fingerlings was pointed after being asked how they were the service deteriorated ... I chose the restaurant with great intention and even made a reservation... it was the day my peers and I were to attend a coworker’s burial service ... I chose to come there instead to have a what I though would be a beauty filled meal and a positive influx of energy ...
Great for any Vegan or non Vegan looking to try something new. Everything was unique and delicious and the service was excellent. Will definitely be returning. Thanks!
Beautiful setting. Very good food. Friendly staff.
Interested in trying a Vegan restaurant, especially during DineLA. Upon our arrival we were informed that the menu was reduced for DineLA. The two items we were interested in trying were not available. This was disconcerting. Have been a frequent DineLA follower for many years. The restaurants which take advantage of the opportunity for which DineLA offers are prepared for the upswing of clientele. Granted, there is more preparation in the Plant Food +Wine menu. Perhaps better planning is in order for Plant Food + Wine as well. The food was very nice. The drink menu was short. The outside seating was especially pleasant. Although I would recommend it for future dining, I would phone ahead for menu options.
Unfortunately the food and service were below average. The ambience and wine were good. We felt that the price tag did not meet the quality of the experience.
The food was great and the server’s knowledge and understanding were awesome. We went for DineLA and we had a great night. ❤️❤️❤️
This is my second time going to Plant Food + Wine. I love the atmosphere and the menu. Service was great and the food was delicious. The outdoor seating area is so peaceful. I wish there was a concept like this in San Diego!
Too many occasions to list
The food was incredible. Everything about our dining experience was top-notch.
Excellent food and service. I love that the food is not imitation meat.
Great food, great ambiance and great service. Outdoor patio was the perfect setting for me and my date. Definitely coming back!
The food was tasteless, tiny portions, and incredibly over priced. Our server was rude and judgements when we mentioned our bread was stale.
Ultimately we left before finishing our meal.
The food and server were great but then the power went out and the flood lights came on which really spoiled the atmosphere. At no point did the manger come out and touch the tables during this but rather had the wait staff drop his card off at each table.
Overall food and service staff were great but could of had more professional service from the manager.
Another delightful dinner at Plant Food and Wine. This time enjoyed a meal for four indoors because it was chilly, but typically recommend you steal a spot on their gorgeous patio. Had excellent service throughout. For apps, loved the artichoke dip with crackers and the Brussels sprouts. For mains, we had the kelp noodles, the squash and the gnochetti. The gnochetti is the most filling. All were tasty. If you're a breadlover, as for a side of their insanely delicious loaf bread and butter. It's honestly all I really want to eat all day.
Superb quality vegan cuisine. Will certainly return and seek out MKC sister restaurants outside California.
Amazing place with delightful, unique food that blew us away! The truffle cheese, avocado tikka and butter mochi were my top three ❤️! The atmosphere and ambience here is incredible, especially the garden is pure magic! Amazing service, such nice people and wonderful interactions.
Perfect food nice ambience
New Year’s Eve fixes menu with wine pairing. Fantastic.
Our first experience at this restaurant was for New Years Eve. The service was less than stellar. We were rushed through our first 3 courses, our plates being picked up the second the last bite was eaten. The second course which was supposed to be soup, was just raw vegetables that were barely cooked, with a tiny bit of broth that was impossible to get onto the spoon. Our wine pairings were all messed up, being told different things by different people. None of the food was described to us as it was placed in front of us. When we had to ask what x was on tha plate, the servers didn't know and had to ask. It almost seemed like none of the servers had worked there before? We tried to pay with a gift card at the end of the meal, which was somehow confusing to everyone. Overall, we wish this wasn't our first experience at this restaurant. We had JUST come from Matthew Kenny's food at Lauderee which was absolutely fantastic, so perhaps we had higher expectations than we should have. Some of the food was great, some of it was a big miss. Pretty unfortunate experience overall :(
Need more restaurants like this! Fresh, organic, plant based meals!
