Food was 5 star but service wasn't great! I traveled from Bristol especially to dine at Plants as I'm a loyal follower of Deliciously Ella. Unfortunately our experience wasn't a great one. We were not greeted at all on arrival and FOH made no contact with us, even though he walked passed us quite a few times! When we were finally seated, the menus were just put on the table and FOH walked off, no words exchanged, not even a smile. We had to ask for someone to take our order and disappointingly our food arrived before our drinks. When we asked for our drinks again, there was some confusion over our order. Another FOH had started by this point and we were kindly given our drinks on the house. The food was lovely but it would of been helpful to know that the dishes are more like sharing plates. Not sure how likely I am to recommend this restaurant to friends...

Brilliant food but service was all over the place. Takes ages for drinks to arrive. The manager looked like he didn’t want to be there. The rest of the waiting team were friendly and trying but need direction from the top.

Absolutely incredible food - so tasty and amazing flavours. Very expensive but as it’s in Mayfair it’s what you would expect! Would highly recommend to both vegans and non vegans

Generally disappointed to be honest but probably had high expectations as we are big DE fans. Food was tasty but 3 of the 5 dishes had dominant spice flavour which ended up being quite samey. Serving staff were not very detailed. When presenting the dishes maybe explain what they are. Overall felt prices were at restaurant level, which i expected, but without restaurant service which was disappointing.

Great food and wonderful vibe in the restaurant. The service is also really lovely. However my biggest issue is everything on the menu is ridiculously overpriced in my opinion. Won't be going back because the price did not fairly match portion size or food provided. I really don't like writing that as I was so excited to go but want to be honest.

I was blown away by Plants! Each dish was absolutely mind blowing and an explosion of taste and flavour! Could not fault the food. The service was warm and friendly. As soon as I walked in the atmosphere felt like a jazz bar, very intimate and sophisticated. Absolutely love the decor! Will 100% be returning soon. It was incredible!

AMAZING food! But the ambience was a bit off. The music was kind of like Matalan covers, and felt that considering there's so much detail in how the menu changes and it encouraging people to eat more plant based, the servers could have been more into the experience (especially considering the cost and service charge). But I don't want to fault the fact that the servers were still very nice and friendly.

Food was flavoursome but I preferred the previous menu. Not enough room on the table for all the small plates. No spoons for servings… ok if you want to double dip. I asked for spoons and got one. I also asked if the bread was gluten free and the waitress didn’t know.

The food overall was good. We would have had a better time if the manager who greeted us was a bit nicer towards us. We were also told that we had an hour and a half at the table and felt a bit rushed. The waitresses serving us were nice.

I am a user of the app on an annual subscription. I live in ireland and planned my trip with a lunch time visit to Plants and it didn’t disappoint. Had three starters. The broccoli, sweetcorn fritters and potatoes. Two mains the Cauliflower and the aubergine. Dessert was the Chocolate and raspberry torte. Green matcha tea was amazing with oat milk and also the cucumber mint apple and ginger juice. The whole experience was outstanding. Highly recommend

The food was delicious - the new menu is fun , interesting and really tasty. Great wine selection too. The only thing that let it down was the staff, who were nice but seemed not very well trained - there was some confusion around us having to leave, then not leave; we got the bill twice etc

My daughters birthday shopping treat. Waitress very helpful and recommended dishes for us. Personally my choice of preference potatoes, sweetcorn fritters, sourdough bread (fresh made), not over keen on aubergine (I can't do spice heat). My daughter loved the pickles ( I don't like pickle but tried one, wasn't just vinegar). We shared a pudding chocolate & raspberry torte- just rounded off the meal perfectly. Don't get some reviews saying tables too small & too close- I didn't think was any different to other places we eat. Compared Plants to Mildreds & we both preferred Plants; atmosphere was unrushed, relaxed & pleasant. WC (a true marked of a decent place) was clean & well stocked. Restaurant set back a short stroll from busy Oxford Street in a lovely area, good to people watch. We will definately be back on our annual London shopping trip next year.

Come here often, at least once every few months. Last nights food was excellent but noticable difference in service which wasn’t great. No pep activity and had to wait forever for menus and bills etc. very lovely people but much more inexperienced than usual. Also didn’t have dedicated person for the table, which we always had before and prefer Food always unquestionably brilliant. But miss the carbonara. Need a pasta on the menu!

I was very excited to try this spot as a long time fan of Deliciously Ella products and recipes, but my friend and I were disappointed by the rude staff who rushed us through the meal, and the overall cramped dining space that had everyone bumping into one another. The food itself was nice, but we won’t be coming back with so many other great vegan restaurants in London that offer a much better experience.

A lovely spot for a very reasonably priced brunch! Portions were generous - I had the Creamy butter beans on garlic sourdough and it was delicious. I also ordered a juice which felt expensive at £6 but appreciate that's probably the usual price in London! Service was nice but slow - we had to ask where our food was as we saw at least 2 groups of people order and get theirs after us. Table are quite cramped and only one toilet which I can imagine isn't ideal when the restaurant is full! We had a look at the pudding menu but quickly decided against one as they were £13 each - more expensive than our brunch dishes!

Great food with wonderful flavours which we understand changes daily. However the staff are not trained, kept delivering every plate of our food to the wrong table, and generally either didn’t want to be there or had no idea what was going on. There was no ambience or buzz in the restaurant either.

The restaurant was dead when we arrived - Service was awful - slow, painful, mixing up orders. It got busy by the time we finished and the service was even worse. However the food was fantastic!! Good portion sizes also. They didn’t have one of the dishes and the bottle of wine we ordered. That’s fine - but it took so long to order it just be come annoying. They could have told us when we sat down. So much potential- will return - hopefully it was just an off day for the staff.
