    Enjoyed a fabulous evening meal at the Plough Inn in Wreay - my husband had the steak pie which was packed full of very good steak and I had the creamy mushroom pasta which was delicious. Lovely pub and dog friendly too!

    I was on my 1 week off and had been busy at home and thought we need a rest A friend of mine had been for a meal the week before and I thought I'm going to try there So booked a table for 1.30pm since I like to be busy in afternoon's Steak on a stone is what we ordered and we weren't disappointed Cooking your own steak on a hot stone to your own liking was great I like mine not pink and my wife likes hers very red We both enjoyed this and will be back soon with friends to try this to

    My choice (steak on a stone) was excellent and good value. Some items on the menu were somewhat overpriced. Very good quality food though.

    Nice location, good looking pub. I booked to have a meal for 2 based on the fact that the place Offered a gluten free menu, it does not. It offers the same meals by taking away items from dishes, making something gluten free isn’t accomplished by not including items, it’s accompanied by offering a gluten free ingredients to achieve the same dish.

    A lovely traditional village pub . We went as a group of friends . It was a very busy night but despite this the friendly staff were attentive . The food was delicious . The August special of steaks served on a hot stone - you cook them yourself at the table - were a triumph for those in our party who ordered them although too many cooking in the room at one time did make it a little smokey. Nothing that opening a window didn’t sort though. There was a large outdoor space with tables & chairs for warmer days/evenings too . Will definitely go back and would recommend without hesitation.

    Excellent meal yesterday evening. The steak pie was delicious and followed by an apple and gooseberry crumble which was also good. The staff were friendly and attentive when needed and there was a great atmosphere on the night.
