Marcelo was wonderful. But, his support staff was not trained in what they were serving, how to serve food and drinks, etc. and, the food was tasteless. Literally, no seasoning. We spent the dinner salting our food. I never salt my food at a restaurant.
They did comp us some meals, and gave us dessert. Clearly, a different chef than before the pandemic. Not up to Marriott standards. Again, Marvell, was, as usual, wonderful.
It was our first time dining at Plough and thought it was a nice, upscale experience. The server we had, Kyle, was absolutely amazing and really made the evening. If it were just based on the food, it would have been only an ‘eh’ experience, but Kyle was energetic, inviting, and fun to interact with. The food…my strawberry and asparagus salad from the Little Fares menu section was delicious! but huge! I was grateful that the mushroom spatzle I had was small. It was however also just a very basic and bland mushroom mac n cheese. My meal was salvaged by the lavender crem brûlée! It was out of this world delicious!!! My husband had the onion and potato soup and he said it was alright. His main course was the market steak which was a New York strip. It came with chopped up broccolini and fried mini yellow potatoes. My husband was not impressed. He said the steak was tender, but he could tell that things must be precooked here because his medium-well steak that was sliced into sections was nearly cold. I tasted the steak and in my opinion, it was tough, completely flavorless, and dry, but I’m a ribeye gal. Oh, I did order one of the bar specials too, the dragonfruit mojito, that was super delicious and refreshing! So, the location was perfect because we were attending a Prima event in the Convention Center, but I don’t think I would go there for the food. With tip, we spend ~$135 and I thought it was way overpriced for the experience. Oh and to top things off, they don’t validate if you park in the Penn Parking garage attached to the convention center (which Plough is attached to as well).
Great food and service!
A great place for brunch! Yes
Our waiter gave great recommendations and their specials were amazing. The duck confit and mushroom spaetzle were absolutely delicious. We were surprised that the rock shrimp were saucy. The mayo listed is a sauce they're tossed in, not to dip in. It was a pleasant surprise though. Overall, I would absolutely recommend it.
Great service, excellent food and drink! Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
The food was absolutely top notch. We came for brunch and we highly recommend the chicken and waffles.
Everything was fantastic! Nick is the best server! Kind, attentive, professional and courteous. Our Dragonfruit cocktails were delicious and the lavender Creme brûlée was the perfect dessert. Always a top notch experience here!
The service was horrible. We waited 30 min to have a waiter come to our table, another 20 min for drinks and silverware. It was truly horrible. The food was good but cold!!!
Service was absolutely amazing and the food was delicious.
Food was outstanding. The service was non-existent.
Yes, especially with the waiter “Maurice” as he was professional in every way. This would include the food, drink list, managing multiple tables and being all around effective/ efficient with our experience.
Absolutely delicious! The focaccia bread is amazing, the Brussels sprouts crispy and delicious, and the burger is so tasty. One of my favorite spots, can’t wait to keep trying more of the menu items! Service was excellent.
Atmosphere is great. Location is great. On street parking for $1.50/hour and nearby a garage parking available. The food had good presentation when it was served, but relative to what I'm used to in Philadelphia, it was "fair" by my standards.
Dinner was delicious. My husband had the ribs and I had the spatzel. Our waiter Kyle was outstanding.
Less than impressed. My friend came in from Philadelphia for dinner, both of our suppers were cold, the service was sub-par and it was overpriced for the quality.
Our server, Nick, was EXCELLENT! The food was great- we had the burger and the fisherman's stew, as well as the honey butter focaccia and white sangria.
Overall a very pleasurable experience. Waitstaff was prompt but non-obtrusive. Appetizers (small plates) were huge…plan on sharing or bring home leftovers….should have appetizer AND small plates portions available. Only annoyance is the new trend of having to order bread for the table…it appears to be the new way to increase revenue. Would definitely return for another meal. Staff was nice to acknowledge anniversary dinner with Champagne.
Food was excellent. Menu limited and offered few lighter options. Expensive for quantity served without salad or side options. House wines sad. Service sporadic.
Food was excellent just a very busy Saturday night at peak dining time. Server was great
Poor management. Forgot doggie bags snd came back for them they threw them away when they cleared table. Asked to speak to manager and they said the manager was too busy and did not ask for contact info.
The entree (brisket) was confusing. The polenta tasted burnt, the salsa on the brisket did nothing to complement the meat - the vegetables tasted like they were cooked in sesame oil. It was plated beautifully but did not taste very good. Dessert was AMAZING! The spiced apple cake and the campfire chocolate cake were delicious - I would go back just for dessert. Our server Jacob was also top-notch - attentive, friendly, kind, and knowledgeable.
First time at the Plough. The food was great, extensive wine list. Our server was very professional and took great care of us. The apple cake and ice cream dessert was terrific. Would definitely go back.
I had friends visiting from out of town I knew I had to take them here. From sitting down until the end of our meal we felt so relaxed and well taken care of. The food was immaculate and very fresh. I will definitely be going back again!
We're so glad you enjoyed your experience with us at Plough! Please join us again soon!
We loved the food. Fresh farm to table goodness.
We were about 10 mins early for our reservation.
It seem like all the employees we interacted with, was their 1st day. (it was not)
The bar tender was (I believe) unintentionally rude.
Our expectations was an atmosphere of farm to table, it is not that, needs a little bit of that charm to match their delicious menu.
The music was night club music and louder than it needed to be, again our expectations were of that of a farm to table feel. It was like fine dining in a cheap "Diner", if we decide to dine her again it will be takeout.

We went for a mother’s day brunch and had a very pleasant time. Service was a little slow but since we weren’t in a hurry it was fine.
Thank you for your feedback Lisa! We hope you'll join us again soon and are able to notice an improvement in our service. Have a great day!
They did not acknowledge we were there, 20min later I got up to remind them. Then they brought us water. Ordered our food- came out RAW food was sent back and STILL RAW CHICKEN, never refilled our drinks. Waiter was nice but he CLEARLY saw us sitting there just didn’t bother to ask if we were taken care of.
Would never go back.

Amazing flavors and excellent atmosphere. Waiter was friendly too.
Maurice was a great server even though it was a very busy day!
Thank you for your feedback. We will be sure to pass along the kind words to Maurice. Have a great day!
The food was fantastic. We ordered the flat iron steak with potatoes and the balsamic molasses with polenta.

Service was just ok. Food was great!
We have eaten lunch at Plough before, but this is the first time we had dinner at Plough, it was a great experience. The atmosphere if warm and fun, cocktails were well crafted, the food was delicious and the service was good. The menu selections have something for everyone, we even had a vegetarian and he had many options to choose from on the menu. I would highly recommend Plough, it's not a hotel restaurant, it's a restaurant that just happens to be in a hotel.
Nice place inside the Penn Sq Marriott. Food was creative and looked great. Taste was ok. Service also good not great. Ok value.
Great experience, Food and atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Great service and food
Our 1st experience at the Plough was very accommodating. The innovative menu was a refreshing alternative to typical local offerings. The food was prepared, plated and served exceptionally. The bar service was excellent and the Bloody Mary’s were 2nd to none we have had over the last 45 years. Our family has had the good fortune to have renowned Chefs for 85 years.
Terrible. Third time there. Every time I go there I say I won’t go back. This Is the last. Food, service all need work
Lovely atmosphere and gracious service !
Food was great- service was very bad. Waiter was inattentive and pompous- a bad combination.
