Plough Way Café is consistently great. Lovely food, excellent service, great value and a fantastic place to eat and hang out. Whether a party of adults only or with friends with very small kids, they are equally welcoming and accommodating, and we are always pleased we chose it. This is our umpteenth visit and we will definitely be returning. Also, brunch is brilliant here on a weekend. A proper neighborhood gem!

After a fantastic dinner on the 17 March where our waitress made our dinner experience fantastic, my girlfriend and I thought it would be worth trying the following Sunday for lunch. The experience on the 24 March was much different, on arrival it was clear there weren’t enough staff. After being seated in a table which we had to pull either way to get into, we noticed the strong stench of alcohol coming from the adjacent three tables, whom had finished their meals but were allowed to take up a large amount of the dining space. The stench combined with the cramped table compelled us to ask the waiter to move us to a further corner of the restaurant. His response was that he would need to clean the tables as brunch had just finished and it would take 15 minutes. With this information and the general atmosphere we thought we’d give it a miss that Sunday and leave as we were both starving. When we tried to leave the waiter stopped us to interrogate us as to why we wanted to leave. He then told me that he told my girlfriend 5 not 15 minutes to which I corrected him as I'd overheard his exact words and proceeded to tell him again that we’d rather leave. When I went to leave, clearly angered, he said to me “oh looks like she’s the one in charge anyway” I have never had a waiter talk to me like that. Your waiter was rude, arrogant and clearly crossed the line with the final comment. It's a shame that the experience differed so much from our visit the previous week..

Excellent food and service. There were a couple of minor mix-ups with drinks but nothing major at all.
The portions were a good size (eg, we had two starters between three people and it was more than ample) and all of the food was very flavoursome. The tiramisu was top-notch.

This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and attentive. It’s such a shame that the food is at best mediocre. Please get a decent chef in at you’d be on to an absolute winner.

Cute little spot with a nice ambiance. Service was good. Impressive choice of gluten/dairy-free options.

Food was a decent, but the portions weren't very big and took a while even though the place wasn't that busy.

One of the best places in London, a restaurant removed from road noise, with a pleasant, relaxing amibience. Food is always good, although somewhat more spicy than in other places. Very good wine as well. Waiters are all trained, nice and attentive. Had my wedding meal there, which sais enough about my trust in the place as a customer.

My bf and I frequent the cafe quite often given we live just down the road. We have brought a friend here for brunch and it worked out to be amazing food but good value! Usually comes to only £10-20pp! Authentic Italian food and fantastic wait staff. Will definitely become our weekly place now :)

I am a bit disappointed in the food this trip. I have had amazing dishes but maybe there is a different chef on Tuesdays. Also I didn't want the set menu but felt we were pushed to the set menu. The main course portion was quite small, pumpkin ravioli and both of us thought this. We asked for bread which was brought when we got starters but then removed. We ordered another main course also as a result of the small main. I also requested a small candle with dessert for the guest I brought as it was a birthday celebration and this was not remembered by the team. Dessert was tiramisu on the set menu. I asked for an alternative dessert which I would have paid for but was told not possible with set menu. So all in disappointing. I would maybe recommend for a pizza but maybe not for other dishes at present.

It used to be a real neighbourhood gem but now it is trying to be a fine dining restaurant with a very tiny menu. It claims to be Italian but took all its pizza off the menu. What’s left is not amazing but pricey. I had a overly salted fish that was tiny but expensive. Very disappointed. Me and my group of friends all felt the same way and we decided we wouldn’t return. Such a shame. The staff is nice and the place itself cute and cosy.

Had really great service from a young Spanish guy, don't remember his name, but he had a black hair and beard. Food was maybe 20% more expensive than I thought the quality warranted which was a shame because we live really close and it was very good.

This is our third visit here and the food just seems to get better. We had buratta and squid starters, quattro stagioni pizza and monkfish mains plus a 'specially requested' spaghetti with butter for our fussy daughter and every mouthful was outstanding. Our 9 year old is already asking when we can go back!

Service was attentive and friendly. Outdoor seating was relaxing and atmospheric. Perfect summer venue for authentic Italian cuisine.
