Ordered wine and gall of water for driver. Water plonked on table without comment and was tepid with no ice or lemon.

Ordered food and eventually starters arrived Prawn cocktail was listed as toasted ciabatta but plain and stale. Mushroom dish was listed same toasted ciabatta but arrived with the ciabatta under the mushroom sauce so was soggy and not toasted
Waited 35 minutes for mains during which time I was served with another glass of tepid water but this time with a smile but no ice or lemon.

I went to the bar to complain about the long wait and was told our food had been given to another table by mistake. It seems they rejected it so I was told I could now have it brought to the table. I declined and paid for the
starters an wine even though my starter was mostly left on plate as no butter supplied with the stale bread. I was then offered the main courses for free but by then they would have been cold so declined and left for home hungry and dissaponted

Excellent and well presented food.
Could do with, perhaps, a main meal section in the afternoon menu, apart from the two from menu.

Pollards, is a cracking pub that does reasonable food at reasonable prices.
The real ale is excellent, the staff are more than helpful and the grounds and setting are lovely, especially on a summers day.
Willaston is a charming village and Pollards is a gem.

Lovely venue to celebrate our adult granddaughters birthday. Lovely weather so nice to enjoy a drink outside after eating (indoors to get away from wasps!)
Would definitely recommend. Many years since we’ve been here but will be visiting again soon.

A very pleasant meal with good service and friendly staff. Unfortunately a rather loud party at the next table

Although the experience was not unpleasant, the overall opinion amongst the family members did not warrant a recommendation.
My steak pie was served with burnt/dried exposed edges as if it was a reheated portion. The Chef needs to raise his standards.
The Staff were very pleasant.

Had the Sunday roasts which were all good!
Would miss the garlic bread and halloumi chips though

Fish and chips greasy. Chips overcooked. Our friends had the pie which looked burned. Won't be visiting again for food.

Great, uncomplicated menu, obviously home cooked with some thought put into it! Generous but not overwhelming portion sizes, good value and our children were well catered for. Staff were attentive and well-informed. Well worth a visit.

Delicious, tasty food. I will certainly go again. Service was not quite so sharpe, but there was a wedding on and I guess they were very busy, so even more praise to the kitchen staff for coping so well.

The poached egg on my Black Pudding Salad starter made this a great course! I do like my chunky chips to be hot and crispy, unfortunately the ones I had were tepid and soggy and let my main course down. The service was exceptionally good with outstanding features. We shall return!

Really nice dinner. We went on a quiet Wednesday evening.

Food was all lovely and service friendly and professional.

My only criticism was the starter. £4 for bread and olive oil. We got 4 tiny slices of bread which was very disappointing. Barely two mouthfuls each. Its bloody bread. It costs nothing. Leaves a 'Ripped off' taste in your mouth if you excuse the pun.

I would go again. But swerve the insulating starters.

Good food and service but the bar area was invaded by extremely loud, shouting people who rather spoiled the meal.
