This place is open 24/7, not that we took advantage of it but we couldn’t help but think how impressive it is to keep this around the clock eaterie open. I’ve been there before to pop in, grab a cake or coffee, I’ve sat in and had lunch but this was the first time eating a dinner. I really would call it a diner, an eatery as it’s way too informal and slightly haphazard to be a restaurant. But don’t discount it. It’s great for a meet up with friends, before heading off elsewhere or in between places. Around us there were others with an array of impressive cocktails. We opted for fish and chips which was really a very decent portion and tasted just spot on. It’s just the right size of menu too so not too confusing and the food is bog standard British food from sausage and mash to pies, with some salad and sandwiches thrown in. It’s thin and tall with no lift so not accessible that I could see. I may be wrong. And given the height there’s really not that many tables. But you’re served quickly, and the staff are friendly and down to earth. We will definitely go back, and I’ll continue to pop in for the odd snack. I wish this place well as it deserves it.

Booked specifically because of the pancakes they advertise everywhere. Tried to order some but told we aren't doing pancakes. No reason was given. Really disappointed and we were too late to find somewhere else as we had something booked nearby after. Bacon very fatty and rest of food just average. Wouldn't recommend.

The waiter we had didn’t seem to know about the cocktails that were available and we basically had to tell him “yes you do serve cocktails, they’re advertised downstairs”. Our food came out way before our drinks which we had to ask for and was told they would take 10 mins - it had already been over 15 mins since we had ordered, I don’t understand how a cocktail takes 25 mins to make. We ordered max and cheese and it comes with a side of toasted bread which came out nearly 10 mins later. There was a table near us who waited a very long time for food. We heard a man ask where his pancakes were (everyone else on his table had their food) the waiter said about 10 mins and they were on their way and they didn’t turn up until at least 15 mins later so everyone had pretty much finished eating on his table. Lastly, this email asking for a review and also the email for the actual table booking has only just been sent to my inbox, and the booking was 3 days ago. This is not a very good email system.

Great menu, quirky little cafe type restaurant. My eggs benedict looked amazing and I could tell it was tasty but was stone cold. Staff were very busy, rushing to serve (Saturday 1130) and didn't look very friendly and nobody came over to check if everything was ok so I didnt get the chance to raise my issue, nor did anybody check with us at the end. However the service was very quick. I would visit again and hope for a warmer welcome and warmer food.

I booked a table through OpenTable but when we arrived there was no table available so we had to wait for one. I understand that they are a busy place, but it should be highlighted somewhere that bookings are better made by phone. I was a bit dissapointed. The food was very nice though. It’s always delicious. In overall I gave four stars because of the food but I was upset because of the booking. They should check the online bookings more often

We were greeted with the staff arguing of where to seat us in front of us so that started the experience off awkwardly. We were then mostly ignored by the staff for the rest of the time..food was alright but probably won't return.

They shouldn't bother doing bookings for groups, the space is way too small, booked for 5 ppls and the space is absolutely tiny and roasting hot upstairs, we didn't even stay we went to another restaurant

Went for a catch up with one of my close friends. We had both been here before so we knew we’d enjoy it. It’s just a nice place for a lunch ; the seating is close and intimate so you can chat even if there’s loads of background noise. Also, the food is really nice, I’ve had from their brunch menu as well as main menu and have not been disappointed. We also stayed a bit later for a coffee and cake.

Food was lovely, however they gave you a bill everytime you ordered rather than paying at the end. They claimed they do pay as you go. But it’s very cheeky they add service to every bill. We ordered our meal payed service charge then ordered chips payed additional service charge ect.. wasn’t fair at all.
