Brilliant pizzeria! Excellent chef who makes amazing Pizza. Wait staff brilliant and attentive. Could not fault whatsoever. I will return next time I am visiting Edinburgh
Pomo pizzas are super tasty and very authentic...if I can't be in Italy, this is the next best thing. Grazie!
Really friendly and attentive service and bangin pizzas
Really good pizza and the service was great. Really friendly and helpful staff and food came really quickly.
Will definitely go again.
The food wasn’t great - it was poor standard although some ingredients were lovely on their own but the way it was presented was pretty awful.
The burrata was delicious but served on a plate with cherry tomato halves surrounding it and a splash of oil. No seasoning.
The antipasti of meats and mozzarella was so dry and plopped on a base of dry, undressed leaves - what’s the point? No bread either. I asked for extra virgin olive oil and was brought chilli oil and vinegar but then after asking was told the vinegar bottle was actually oil.
For main, we ordered 2 pizzas (1 gf), fries and salad. The salad was limp, gritty, dull and slimy in parts and smothered in balsamic glaze - no taste.
Husband liked his pizza. No fries arrived until half way through eating. The gf pizza wasn’t what I ordered (toppings wise) and then after what looked like a serious conversation with the chef, the service staff and maybe the manager, it arrived with a charred (more than required perhaps?!) crust, the right toppings but with more birds eye chillies than I anticipated. I just wanted what I’d ordered and red chilli slices are exactly that but chunks of birds eye chilli? Really? Anyway, I have to say, the base and crust was delicious for gf so top marks there.
Such a shame, it’s going to be great once it gets its act together but today was a real disappointment.
We didn’t get charged for one of the pizzas which was kind of them.
Had a great night at Pomo celebrating my birthday. Our waiter was a big part of making the evening so good. I can’t wait to come back.
We were seated at a table slightly smaller than we needed; a chair was dragged over to a 4 person table despite making a reservation. However, the staff were very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, as it was delicious and was excellent value for the portion size! Unfortunately, half way through the meal, a large party was seated near us and was very loud - we were unable to hear each other following this. Despite this we are looking forward to our next visit to sample more of the delectable dishes! :)
Great food! Lovely staff and nice atmosphere! Would definitely go again
Newly opened so we tried for the first time on a wet Monday night. Bit lacking in atmosphere as there were only 2 other tables occupied. However the pizza was great. Lovely thin but fluffy bases. 4 of us ordered something different and all enjoyed what we chose. We managed one portion of tiramisu and it was excellent. I’m sure we will return.
Lovely pizza and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
Fabulous pizza. Great service. Delicious tiramisu. Looking forward to dining at Pomo again soon.
My husband and I went to Pomo for a Valentine’s Day dinner. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by a lovely waitress who took us to our table. The service was seamless throughout our whole meal with all the staff being very attentive, smiley and friendly. It’s a very cosy and comfortable restaurant a short 3 minute walk from Haymarket Station so it meant we could get a train in and not worry about parking.. (and also enjoy a few drinks). Menu was great especially for myself who can’t eat dairy, they had great alternatives. It’s also very great value for your money as the portion sizes are generous! Can’t wait to go back- thanks to Pomo for a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner :)
