Had a wonderful evening at the Domes for father's day.
Just as in the advert, we were so impressed with the treatment and the tasty food.
The staff was lovely and the keep checking on us the intire time. Louisa was excellent and very friendly.
I will definitely recommend to my friends and family and we already made plans to go back.
It's a beautiful place and the ambiance was perfect. The food was delightful. My family really enjoyed the whole experience.
We went there on Father’s Day. Overall very good experience and bit different than usual restaurants, your private dorm/pod. Food was very good, authentic Indian flavour, the menu was bit limited though. The lady who served us was very polite and served us well. We ordered bottle of Red wine and on a good restaurant they generally open the bottle in front of you after confirming what we ordered and then let us taste, this is just to make sure the customer has got what they ordered and satisfied but we were served an open bottle. Having said all, we had very experience nevertheless and we will visit them again for sure as it’s unique and food prep was good too and above all beautiful location.
We had a Wonderful experience here for Father’s Day. The dome was a perfect space for the children to move around without disturbing anyone any we were able to enjoy our music playlist. The food portions were generous especially the kids meal , 9 fish fingers with chips!! Lol We will definitely go again
Booked a Ponsbourne Dome for Fathers Day. The atmosphere is great and setting is beautiful. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting over 40 minutes between starter and main meal, which made us worry as there is a 2 hour time limit on tables. However, staff were very accommodating and allowed this to be extended as it was not our fault. The food was mediocre for an Indian meal, but hugely overpriced for what it is. Also, there is not much choice for vegetarians if you don't like paneer! We had a mainly vegetarian meal, with starters and a bottle of wine for 6 people (4 of which are teens) and were shocked at the total which came to over £240!! The food certainly is not that good and the good setting and atmosphere didn't make up for the hefty cost. On top of that a 12.5% service charge was applied to the bill and considering the food took so long, it is annoying that the charge was applied without any option for us diners. As we were there to celebrate, we didn't make a fuss of the service charge and spoil the evening. Staff were quite attentive, especially once they realised we were waiting for our main meal for a long time! We have eaten at better locals for a fraction of the cost, but maybe worth going there just once for the surroundings.
We went yesterday for a Father's day. The view and atmosphere was very nice but the food was disgusting 🤮 My husband asked for a spicy curry instead he got an extra chillies on a side, not even being cut but whole chillies!!!!! We asked for some salt-we got a sashes like from Macdonald !!! We found a hair in one of the dishes!!!! Not mentioned how much is overpriced!!!! Not worth to spend money !!!
Would not recommend to anyone!!!!
Very accommodating as due to sat nav we were late.
Food lovely, grounds lovely, service by Louisa was attentive and friendly. Service with other waiting, and table clearing staff was slow, and communication wasn’t always there. We asked for an apple juice, and got a large jug of water :D We got the impress some of the staffs English wasn’t very good, but not a massive problem for us. Our dome was next to the smoking area, which wasn’t great as we are non smokers and had 3 children with us.
Overall a nice experience x
Beautiful setting, superb food (Huge Portions!), and really friendly service
The food wasn’t all that and the price way too expensive
Nice settings and pods but poor service and difficult to get any attention
Apart from one member of staff , the service was poor for the charges abs service charges levied
The food was satisfactory but nothing special but premium prices for all dishes
Fathers day meal in dome.
Service was very friendly and nice but junior. They didn’t know how to open the £75 bottle of wine!
Food was lovely although we remember the old lamb chops being much nicer and tender. These were fine but not as good. Guess they have changed supplier.
The dome was excellent although would prefer pod on a sunny day!
A beautiful setting and the domes and pods were clean and attractive. Very well lit which created a lovely ambience. Our waitress Louisa was very attentive, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The food was delicious, freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. A very enjoyable birthday celebration for my daughter who was 20 and my parents celebrating their 86th birthdays.
We loved the ambience, setting and atmosphere - definitely place to go, food was lovely but would not say value for money, although the broccoli was the best ever (highly recommended) - very expensive for limited menu, but we get the expense the establishment have put into the business to create an environment where people can be safe in the current times we live! We had a great time and created beautiful memories.
Thank you Louisa for looking after our family. Also really appreciate that the chef was able to cater for my sister who is vegan.
Amazing place, amazing customer service .... even though i read it wrong there is a min £100 spend so might need more than two people unless you are huge eaters. Manager very understanding and an amazing experience
Very nice food
Lovely evening with great friends
Shame the power in the dome kept shorting out
Also waitress /staff started clearing table before everyone had finished very rude not good waitressing etiquette
The food and service were excellent. The staff were super friendly. Great evening out
Very good service10 but the food i don’t like
Lisa our server was amazing. Good food but small portion sizes for starters would prefer sharing sizes
it was amazing i will defo return to this place xx
On arrival We we’re greeted very warmly by the staff. Our waitress Louisa was amazing! Nothing was too much & the Customer Service was brilliant.
Food was lovely, cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were good.
Opportunities to take pictures were endless! The domes are perfect for this! Spacious, clean & fully air conditioned.
We would definitely go back in the future
Food Portion is so small
Staff are friendly and helpful
Too expensive, food was really good but still not worth what they charge
The place is really nice took lots of pictures with my family.
Would love to come back with friends but food needs improvement if you come from far wants to eat nice lovely meals.
Dome needs Cleaning
Service was very good
(Had think about food)
it was lovely experience we actually wanted to sit in the pods but we could not we was sat in the domes but it was very good food is not all that very bland taste.
luisa served us she was a very good waiter and looked after us her service was excellent
Quiet location, great place, wonderful food and nice staff.
Was a great experience.
Been here a couple of times and the very place itself is absolutely amazing!!!! Such a cosy restaurant but the menu is very pricey!!
Took my partner for his birthday meal. I was exceptionally pleased with the service and the quality of food. Really pleased that they had the heaters- which was a lovely touch. Had a great experience and will defo come back.
The food was delicious and beautifully spiced. We tried the desserts and they were equally good. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
We had a fantastic evening and will be back soon.
The location and atmosphere were both amazing and that is what saved the evening for my friends hen party dinner.
Service was very slow and we had to ask several times for things that we had been ordered and not arrived. We arrived at the dome at 6pm and was not served our mains until about 7.40. At 10 to 8 we were told we had to leave our dome in 10 minutes so had to rush the remainder of our meal even though it was only just served to us.
Food was nice but extremely spicy to the point I couldn’t finish my main and ridiculously overpriced! They also tried to add a £42 service charge on to our bill at the end which we were not happy to pay.
The venue and location is incredible but unfortunately the food and service made it not worth the very expensive prices they charge.
It was our first time visiting Ponsbourne Park. The experience was good as the domes were situated amongst nice green scenic view. The service and the ambiance was great. The only let down was the food. The lamb chops ordered for starter was very tough. For a £20 dish you would expect good quality. The taste of the dishes were mediocre. However it is a nice place for a small get together and the place is kid's friendly. My kids enjoyed the place throughly.
Lovely place but could do with better maintenance and cleanliness. Ladies toilets were terrible. The pods, garden and scenery was an amazing experience. Food was average. Nice place to visit and the weather was lovely
What a great experience we had! Yummy food & drinks, atmosphere was so relaxing! Highly recommend!
We came for a surprise Bridal Shower Lunch in the Dome and it was amazing, plenty of space to decorate inside(understanding staff who allowed us to decorate for the surprise earlier as there was nobody booked before us). Really loved the Chicken Biriyani, pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it with other biriyani types which were also really good. Also do not be deceived by the small pot, which we were and later felt the portion was just right, if only we hadn't ordered more. Finally, the kulfi ice-cream to finish, so delicious! Also so glad they had plain ice-cream options upon request for guest with nut allergies. The garden was another amazing plus, as we were able to enjoy the sun outside after we had completed the lunch in the dome within the slot time. Service staff was so friendly and so so helpful, we are so grateful for their patience and just trying to help whenever they can when we asked. We received help from so many staff to make the surprise a success, so don't know names but just Thank you so much! Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience with great views(especially the dome being clear and having view of nice clear sky in photos, nice weather, super friendly and helpful service staff/receptionists. Definitely will come again for another nice day out!
Very poor expensive food
Expensive place, bad quality food and small portions.
Perfect setting great food and great service will be returning for sure
