It was my birthday and I had the Lamb Henry. It was delicious, along with the accompanying mash and veg. All of us (8) had a lovely meal, all a different selection. Unbeknown to me, my Mum had baked a cake and taken it with her. The staff kindly added candles, lit them and sang Happy Birthday to me. A lovely place, lovely food and atmosphere. We’ve been many times over the years.

Easter Sunday sun was out and so was everyone, well organised for bar service as we arrived early choose to sit outside in the sun, had drinks then when time for our table we were taken through, menus given drink order taken then Alister came took our order, it was extremely busy both inside and out, staff working extremely hard keeping on top of all sides of service, only criticism I have was Roast Dinners weren’t exactly hot in fact pretty luke warm so that let it down as no one came to check in how’s your food as they were so busy for us to say please can you warm this up ? Overall would I go back yes I would be maybe not on a sunny bank holiday for food.

All staff happy & friendly every time we visit! But the older man behind the bar on Easter Sunday made my day, such an infectious personality! We attended for Sunday lunch which we throughly enjoyed along with the country playlist! Couldn’t recommend enough thank you x

Lovely helpful staff, 9 in our party and accommodated us. Service quite quick. However quality and price of food not great. Ate my chicken burger with a knife and fork it was so messy. Fries were undercooked. Menu stated chunky chios with burgers was served fries. Menu quite limited. Would have preferred to order a sandwich at lunchtime but the choice was too fancy just wanted a good old british choice or paninis/toastie. Have been a few times to Pooley Bridge Inn but would probably choose a different place to eat next time. The cost for 9 of us exceeded £230 which included 1 meal and 1 drink each with a couple of small sides!!!!

Really lovely food, very friendly staff and very accommodating towards our toddler. Helpful on the phone and service was quick and efficient during our meal. It’s a return visit for us- lovely pub, great food and helpful staff. When we are in the area again, we will definitely make sure we visit as it does not disappoint!
