Really lovely food, very friendly staff and very accommodating towards our toddler. Helpful on the phone and service was quick and efficient during our meal. It’s a return visit for us- lovely pub, great food and helpful staff. When we are in the area again, we will definitely make sure we visit as it does not disappoint!

Food was really nice as always, but disappointed with the service this time. We were going to have a sweet and another drink but after 30 minutes gave up and got the bill, as did others around us.

The pub itself is lovely - a beautiful characterful building. We came in for Mother’s Day and both chose meals from the special menu, we both went for the Ginger Pig. We both unfortunately received the wrong meals - both gammon roasts. When the waiter brought our meals we did mention that we thought it was wrong to which he said “well gammon is pig”, and then briskly walked off. I went and spoke to another staff member who was really helpful and got the right meals brought out (albeit missing a few key components, which after a further prompt were brought out on a separate plate). Other than the first waiter. All the staff were very helpful and the food was pretty good. The Yorkshire puddings were burnt on both meals. But by this point we felt bad for complaining again. I absolutely understand that it was Mother’s Day and they were particularly busy - so we were very understanding. They also brought us a free drink which was very much appreciated. We’d definitely try it again, but it was a bit of a shame since it was my wife’s first Mother’s Day and I wanted it to be problem free.

The Pooley Bridge Inn is a lovely place to visit either just for drinks or food too. Very dog friendly (which suits us down to the ground) the staff are an asset to the place and I love the music choice 😁 hubby says it was one of the best pints of Guinness he's ever had...so much so he had to try several of them 😂
