POP Sapori was the most wonderful experience. We went as a group of friends (there were five of us) and treated it like a tapas meal. We ordered all the starters, all the pastas and shared it between us.
I highly recommend the Rocket and Grapes salad; the Nocellara Olives; the Homemade Bread Selection; the Burrata, Peaches and Rocket Pesto; and the Salumi and Cheese! Those were my favourites. And, of course, an Aperol Spritz.
The atmosphere was lovely and the music made you feel like the night was just starting. The waiters (and the chef!) are Italian themselves which means you're in for a (reasonably priced!), authentic Italian experience.

We had a couple of starters that were all yummy: the grape salad, broccoli, burrata, and -- most of all! -- the freshly-made bread was amazing. Could have eaten just that, all night, haha.
For mains, we ordered a couple of pasta dishes -- the pasta is also freshly made every day, and you can actually see the pasta machine, which is a cool touch.
They have quite a few vegan options, which is brilliant to see, too. Also, we appreciated that the music wasn't too loud -- it was just right, ambience-wise, to have a meal while chatting.
Will definitely be back.
My girlfriend and I visited POP Sapori for lunch. Iulian was such a great waiter - his service was top notch! He told us what his favourite dishes were and made recommendations and we were not disappointed! We had a selection of salami and cheese to start with, but couldn’t help ordering the burrata which was just divine. The burrata with the peaches was such a great combination, we were very pleased. I ordered the squid ink and crab spaghetti and My girlfriend had the mortadella ravioli. The portion sizes were the perfect amount and both dishes were absolutely delicious! I ordered the apricot cheese cake which I loved and my girlfriend ordered the lemon sorbet with a shot of lemon cello. The food hit the spot and I can honestly say I will be going back again and again. Such friendly staff and really good food! I’d definite recommend to friends!! Can’t wait to come back!
POP Sapori @themegaro, a Love Festival from the '80s? At first difficult to find, but I did my homework and noticed it is a POP Up at the iconic graffiti-covered Megaro Hotel. Great window display, packed with homemade focaccia and "Italian" croissants. The focaccia Pugliese was to die for and Julian really knew his flour. I never realised such a small thing makes all the difference. Then the Rigatoni "al Torchio" was just super fresh and cooked just dense. Oxtail stew was best I ever had, but admittingly by then, we had consumed a bottle of Prosecco. Didn't dare to go for the spritz, just looked too cool and yellow for us.
Now I get the music, smileys everywhere, it makes you happy. It brought us both back to 80's King's Cross when it was just masses of fun and party. POP Sapori - you make me happy?

Staff was lovely! Great atmosphere and wasn’t too busy so it was nice to focus on who you’re with. I’d also defo recommend the Panna cotta for desert
Whoever’s in that kitchen doesn’t have their heart in it. The waiters were very nice and apologetic about the food (which took an hour and was inedible). Worse meal I’ve ever had.
The portions of food were small. The dishes were not as in the description of the menu.
I had the cauliflower main dish which was delicious, however it would be great to see some more vegan options on the menu-especially a vegan dessert!
Good food, attentive (not too attentive) and friendly staff. I was on crutches with broken leg, and non weight bearing and sadly does not have disabled access but the staff were very willing to help.
The atmosphere was colorful and lent itself to a happy and enjoyable breakfast.

I booked table for 4 o’clock, when we arrived was told that we can’t sit until 5.30. They had lovely looking steaks in display fridge, when we ask about the size cut that we want was told that it comes as what’s served which is of no help. So I thought seeing it’s an Italian restaurant one can’t go wrong with Lasagne, well in all the times I’ve been to Italy and number of Italian restaurants I never been lasagne as how they served it, it was good and taste. My husband had the hail but the jacket that they served wasn’t good.My friend had the pork which was really fatty..Both of my other friends had had the king prawn pasta, it didn’t look appetising., it looked anemic.
It was quite expensive for the food you were given. Also the staff had a bit of a hard time taking our order, and we got the wrong food once. Overall a nice experience though, ans it was a bit expensive but it was also really good.
Went for a Christmas dinner; selections limited, but good. Very nice pumpkin gnocchi; goose breast a bit tough, but still tasty.

Not particularly cosy or ambient but amazing authentic Italian food - you can see the chef at work also - a real find in busy Kings Cross we will be back
Service was slow, waitress didn’t understand all our order , language barrier , food was really tasty but my colleagues pork was a little on the small side .

My friend and I visited this restaurant before bcos the pancakes were amazing.
We returned and the pancakes did not taste the same at all.
I asked for butter this took 10 mins arrive so my pancakes and bacon was cold.
We were staying at the Megaro Hotel and my family of 4 decided to have steak for dinner. We read that the Megaro Eatery served fiorentina steak, and decided to try it. We shared the burrata cheese and artichokes for starters, with the seafood paccherri pasta and fiorentina steak. Everything tasted good, especially the mains! Although we were on vacation, I have tried a few of the Italian restaurants in the area, and would say that the Megaro eatery serves up more authentic Italian cuisine at value-for-money prices.
It is not pleasant to give a bad review but, but here i simply feel the please does not know what it is! Trident bar vibe with gastro dining prices for very basic food! The servers were lovely but nothing really worked!
Our party left the restaurant within a few minutes of arriving. Our table had not been reserved, despite a booking that was made weeks before, and confirmed by phone three days before and email confirmation received of an extra person joining us. I also called twice to discuss a nut allergy and was told it would not be a problem if specific items off the menu were selected. On arrival the staff were very uncertain that they could cater for a severe nut allergy. It was extremely embarrassing for me as I had booked the restaurant for our company lunch and I was meeting most people for the first time, as well as welcoming our new staff member who had the nut allergy. We felt unwelcome and had to phone around to make a last minute booking for 8 people once outside the restaurant. Very disappointing indeed.
Very kind and accommodating staff. They tailor made my coffee (hazelnut latte, really good) and my friend's dish (as she has quite a few allergies), and gave us a large table so her child had space to play. Really liked the Full Italian Breakfast too.
The place was sadly empty apart from us but the place was clean and food really tasty. Service was good and waitress offered recommendations.
I booked an 11am table on bank holiday for me and a group of friends for brunch. When we got there we were informed they don’t serve brunch and that I shouldn’t have booked a table for that time. Was turned away with no compensation and there is no information on the website that they don’t take bookings for that time. Really disappointed.
Food is fairly decent, but was very slow to arrive. We were pretty much the only table dining in the restaurant yet our mains took about half an hour. Too expensive for the portion sizes. Service friendly.
OpenTable offer times for breakfast that the restaurant no longer caters for. Fortunately the staff were still willing to extend breakfast hours.

We booked in for a late brunch but were told the website was out of date and there wasn't a brunch menu after 11am. The menu itself was extremely limited and certainly on the pricey side. I ended up ordering 2 x small plates (the left hand side are all small plates) at £9 each and my friend ordered the turbot at £24. The food itself was delicious, but at £66.00 for a one course lunch with no alcohol, it was probably too expensive to make it a regular haunt! The decor is great, however, and the place is light, airy and spotlessly clean. Just not what was sold on their website and somewhere for a treat not a quick bite to eat.
Food was exceptional, the wait staff were really helpful and provided great recommendations. Will be returning!

This place was honestly terrible. Tapas style menu but way too small and expensive for what we got. Food had zero flavour and we ordered a main dish consisting of cauliflower and received a quarter of a half cooked cauliflower soaked in vinegar for £13. Would not recommend at all for dinner
We had a great meal at Megaro! The service was friendly and fantastic- one of our party has a lot of serious allergies and they were very accommodating (and unlike many places, took her seriously). The food was wonderful, and we will absolutely be back.
The food we had was fine and no complaints, but the menu is odd with nothing like bread or olives to start with, which was not appreciated by our group. Menu needs work.

Excellent service. The Turbot was an outstanding dish. Took a couple of American friends there on the 4th of July. Needed a restaurant close to St. Pancras. Could not have done better. Strongly recommended.
Great selection of food, convenient location, and great service. Hit or miss on the food quality. For example, the buratta toast, seasoned cauliflower, and the strawberries and cream were a hit, the pumpkin gnocchi were a miss (chewy and lacking in flavor)
