I visited Porkys with my dad and brother for my brother’s birthday. My brother is autistic and so is very particular about noise, what he eats etc. Porkys were great. We had some very tasty nachos, that weren’t lacking on the toppings like in some places. One portion was enough for three of us. The boys had tasty bacon burgers and chips and I had a huge but delicious Cajun catfish. Service was friendly, it was a Tuesday night at 6pm so not much ambience but that was perfect for my brother. I would definitely recommend.
We had pre-booked as we were going to the Globe. Location for this was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun, the food was outstandingly good (try the ribs) and the service was friendly and efficient. All in all a great experience.
Excellent food and great cocktails. Staff friendly
Nice place with excellent service. The food unfortunately was a bit average. The burgers were over cooked and lacked any real flavour.
I’d definitely go back but would order differently.
All in all an ok experience. Nothing special
Nice atmosphere, great choice of drinks.... staff friendly, food is good - not great but.... some of the best ribs ive had in London!
When we visited the menu looked smaller then when i have been before - downside.... upside - good choice of side dishes!
Great bbq with a happy hour between 5 and six
Tired and stale food; seemed to be reheated. Waitresses friendly.
Food was nice, service a bit slow, noise levels were extreme. Big parties of people very noisy and shouting. Shame as other than that was ok.
It was Ok. There’s a lot of these types of places around and I wouldn’t go so far to say it was up there with some of its competitors. Ribs were dry, but had a nice rub. Beans weren’t great, jalapeño croquettes were very nice. Service was good.
Service shocking so would not return. Mistakes made with order an waitress then swore about us to her manager but right in front of us! Not cool and too many places in the area to ever return and or recommend so avoid
Great food, excellent relaxed service. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely be making a booking again. The offer of tap water as you sit down was a great touch, I believe we spent more on our meal as we didn't feel as though the team was offering drinks to increase the bill.
At first we were a bit put off at the noise level, then our 1st menu choice was not available. Almost considered leaving but glad we didn't. My wife and son had to choose something else and they went for burgers. I chose ribs which were available. The food was very tasty indeed. All said it turned out to be a fine meal although a bit pricey. The best part of the experience was meeting Daniella. She was very warm and friendly and we had a good time conversing with her. All in all I would recommend Porky's for some great American comfort food.
Average food, very long wait. On this occasion we ordered wings and ribs across a table of 4. We waited over an hour between entree and mains. The food was pretty average, we won't be back.
Very good buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese sauce.
I was disappointed in the portion size at Porkys. The meal itself was of decent quality but me and my colleagues all thought there was not enough food per serving. I was left so unsatisfied I had to eat a second snack on the way home. Overall it was nice but in comparison to similar burger joints in the area I felt a bit shortchanged.
Disappointing food with very little flavour considering it is a Memphis BBQ restaurant.
Great manager, Nico. Dog friendly restaurant. Drink and venue great. The best chicken wings in town. Burger not the best but still tasted good. Would come again!
Food was OK, service was terrible. Someone was on our table, and the staff seemed unable to do anything about that, so we got a tour of other tables instead. Orders weren't taken. Staff couldn't advise on food at all as "everyone's tastes are different". Food was slow to come. Starters were mostly good. Mains were boring.
There are a lot of better places to eat, with much better service.
Food was a mixed bag, service was good, ambience had a cozy and rustic feel.
Nice relaxed atmosphere with good service and food!
Thank you so much for letting us bring our doggie and looking after us. Unfortunately the food was quite cold and the streak not great.
This used to be a very nice American bbq place with decent food. Something has happened to it to make the place feel depressed with poor food and service. It’s more of a sports bar now with large groups of drunk men. Shame.
Petite waitress was rude we and 12.5 % service charge was excessive for the slow food service.
The food had arrived cold which was disappointing. Also the pulled pork for some reason was just oozing liquid, and the ribs did not fall off the bone. Was not very impressed.
Food is pretty terrible. Burgers were dry and over cooked , I’ve had better food in a pub. Service was good. There was also a piece of plastic or something in my food. I didn’t bother complaining
Cornbread and Mac n Cheese were amazing! Also the staff was very caring and always available. Ribs however were terrible as they weren’t fall of the bone, lacking flavor and seemed like they were from the previous day.
On the positive side the staff replaced them with some Nachos that were quite good. Overall a mixed experience, but not a terrible one if we had stayed away from the ribs.
Delicious food and cocktails which was served promptly. The staff were friendly and helpful. We weren’t rushed at all and spent a lovely Saturday lunchtime enjoying the atmosphere and food.
We had very high expectations of this restaurant, we waited over an hour for our starter and it was cold then they gave someone else our food and had to wait another 30 minutes for our mains to be re cooked. The place had a good feel to it and we enjoyed the restaurant itself but the rest was honestly a nightmare
Catfish too salty, music too loud, menu did not indicate spicy. Overall expensive and not for value
Food was good, but service and ambience was very much average and nothing special. Not really worth the amount paid
Service was great.. my group of friends were all late. The restaurant was accommodating and friendly.
Having Been to both the Camden and Bankside branches, I have to say that I didn’t feel the Americana vibe I was hoping for at a Bbq restaurant. Camden had a much better feel. Service was subpar and staff were not very welcoming, and considering the cuisine I’d expect a few more napkins and wipes. Portions were not great value especially the pastrami which is insanely priced for a few pieces of pastrami. Anyway was a neither here nor there experience. I won’t be back anytime soon
Had a late Saturday afternoon lunch. Was a special occasion for a family meet up. Porky's was a great choice as there was a range of ages and they could cater for all. Menu was varied and service was very good. Good value too for the location.
Ambience is good although very noisy later in the afternoon (I was there on a Saturday). Food was not great. Chicken burgers were very dry (Chicken was overcooked). Ribs also a bit dry unfortunately. Service was fine - friendly waiters - but a bit slow at times. Will not be revisiting this particular restaurant.
Great food, wonderful service - best buffalo wings I’ve had for a while! Highly recommend
Great place with good food good bear and a decent atmosphere
Our waitress was rude on multiple occasions and was very slow, she didn’t seem to understand what she was doing at all. Which is a shame because we love the manager!
Uncooked chicken, Drab Attempt at bbq food. Beer ok, service ok.
The chicken wasn’t uncooked, it was raw, terrible.
I'm not sure where to start really... Went here for my birthday and the place was chaotic! Barely any staff (due to a barman and chef walking out), the food was OK I suppose, but I didn't get my starter until after everyone else had finished theirs, the pork ribs weren't cooked through (red raw), wrong drinks were regularly brought out... Pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong.
BUT, the waitresses were great, hugely apologetic, knocked money off our bill, and did their best to manage the mayhem. We didn't have an awful time, only because it was pretty much farcical, during the 2.5 hours we spent there. We won't go back, ever, but at least the staff tried their best and somehow managed to keep the entire restaurant from falling apart... Well done to them, just a shame so many customers would've had an overall awful experience.
