Food was good and so was the restaurant as a whole. Only real issue, but was out of the restaurants control, was a group that were in there and gad too much to drink. One of their party had a shot at the bar and proceeded to be sick all over the entrance to the toilets, not what you want want to see when you are out for a meal.
The food is over priced and not as tasty as it should be.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. Everyone loved their food , there was plenty of options.
Very accomdating to our needs and very friendly! Staff was amazing and would go again. Love the atmosphere
Great fun and decent American BBQ food. Over-ordered with extras, but request for a 'doggy-bag' was no problem - shame we forgot to take it with us !!
Excellent beers and wine too.
Our waitress (Australian lady) was really nice and helpful.
The service at Porky's BBQ is speedy and friendly - The food is very tasty.
It is located just a stone's throw from Shakespeare's Globe Theatre on London's South Bank and so is ideal for pre and post theatre meals.
Unsure what to do for my birthday, my friend suggested we go to Porky's BBQ as she had also great recommendations about the restaurant. Coming across a deal on TimeOut London for the 'Unlimited feast', I did not hesitate to purchase such a great deal.
The staff at the Bankside branch were indeed welcoming and friendly, starting off our evening to a great start. After ordering the Unlimited feast I was indeed taken back by the quantity of food that was presented to me. The quality of food served was exceptional and thanks to the TimeOut offer we were also able to ask for me. The cocktails were an added bonus and complimented the meal.
I can honestly say, for someone who loves off food as much as me, I was satisfied beyond my hearts content! The flavours were just mesmerizing..... I would definitely recommend it
Excellent food, better than I expected. Service was excellent.
Buzzing place with beer pong in the front, restaurant area in the back and loud music played throughout.
I shall definitely be coming back!
Went for dinner with my girlfriend. Was quite loud but staff were really great and friendly. Food was only just warm so that’s the only negative point.
Great BBQ food, attentive service and great selection of drinks
Wonderful quality American style BBQ food, accompanied by an expertly curated selection of beers and ciders, served by helpful, attentive and cheerful staff made for a great evening!
Nice food, good atmosphere - great for big groups. We would have liked to try the beer pong but the tables were too busy with work christmas parties
Really disappointed. Food was dry and over cooked. It was as if it had been reheated. Choice of sauces was poor. Staff were inattentive even though it was quiet.
In a close to empty restaurant, the staff almost outnumbered the seated guests when we arrived. The drinks and the starters came in good time and were nice enough. On the mains the beef brisket was incredibly dry and tough, honestly the worst BBQ brisket I've ever had. It was tough to the point where I couldn't get a fork into the meat. I put that part aside so I could get it replaced when someone came to check on us. No one did. When our table was cleared, we again weren't asked how the food was so we mentioned it then in the hope that we might have the brisket taken off our bill. When the bill came, again we were not asked how the food was nor had anyone passed on our complaint about the food. At this stage we paid and left to get dessert elsewhere.
We eat a lot of BBQ food, but we won't be going there again.
Super food as usual, but was disappointed the beef rib was no longer on the menu.
Quieter than we thought it would be for a Sunday lunchtime with so many tourists around, so it was ideal for our table of six, including our Spanish friends and their kids. Burgers were a popular choice and a very good choice!
Expected it to be livier but just 4 beer pong tables shoved in the corner and no space for friends to watch. Segregated our group which wasn't great as we didn't all know each other and made it quite awkward. Also annoying to have to leave cards behind the bar- we paid £24 a round, ping pong balls are pennies so why take my card.
Has potential to be really great but just wasn't what we expected, especially when I spent £90 myself, not including everyone's individual drinks. We were a group of 10 bankers and we left early because the vibe in the bar was weird. Also more options with nachos please!
Quick service at the bar though and has potential so wed come back if their were more beer pong tables.
Tasty food in a good atmosphere. Decent service. Enjoyed the beer pong in the bar after eating. Made for a great evening.
Really good food, great service. Reasonably priced and good beer. Staff friendly and nice to talk to especially as I was on my own.
Was quiet but was a Tuesday night so to be expected.
Looks like it could be a great night to go with friends and play some beer pong by the bar!
Ribs were good, but the chicken was so dry you could barely eat it. Also don't go on a Thursday or Friday night, the crowds playing beer pong at the front of the restaurant shouting and drinking somewhat ruin the ambiance. Overall good enough food for the money but don't think i'd go back, it couldn't decide if it was a bar or a restaurant and overall my feeling was the bar won.
