Had to wait 35mins for ribs as had run out. Would have thought that you should’ve given some complimentary starters but didn’t!!
Ribs a little fatty.
Lighting terrible but otherwise it was a reasonable dining experience. Not sure if I’d bother to go back!

Food was lovely and generous portions. The ambience was very American smokehouse and strong connection to Tennessee, a lot of jack Daniel through the menu and decor.
We didn't try any this time around but seems like the drinks are good to as a few couples came in just for a drink towards the later end of the evening

Porkys has the look of your quinessential American Barbecue joint with dim lighting, friendly staff and stripped down decor that allows the food to take center stage.

The menu covers all your usual suspects with ribs galore along with pulled pork, burnt ends, burgers, wings and things accompanied by staple sides such as barbecue beans (standout side), coleslaw and fries.

The meat in general is cooked pretty well, some come with sticky barbecue sauce, others are of the dry rub variety. My only criticism is that the chicken seemed to have been kept on a hotplate with the meat dried out although soft. Felt a little disappointed as the ribs were tender and well flavoured and the pulled pork still retained all its juices having been slow cooked. Other than the aforementioned 'coq' up, the food is good if not spectacular.

Porky's price wise competes with other like minded establishments such as Big Easy and Bodeans but unfortunately without quite the same execution. Given it's location it might be considered a little expensive for what it offers, but you will never go home hungry!

As expected the food was 5star
Service was excellent by friendly staff, they wasn't rushing you or bombarding you.
Would highly recommend the burgers, my son said the ribs were the best he has ever had. We didn't wait long for our food or drinks.

I was really skeptical after reading some pretty bad reviews about eating here, but I must say the service was brilliant and the food was really lovely. My boyfriend and I shared the baby back ribs with sides of fries and man and cheese and we polished of every bit (we LOVE ribs)

There was a new cocktail waiter who was a little unexperienced but was so accommodating to my feedback and tried his best to get the margaritas just right.

We had a really lovely evening and would definitely come back!! I really don't understand all the negative feed back.

Thanks for having us x

Rubbish food, most of the children's menu unavailable with little alternative. Had to send my ribs back as they were dry and tough... second lot quite fatty. Overpriced for what it is. Not convinced the food is BBQ'd as claimed..... should have stuck with the 'big easy ' at Covent Garden which makes this place look like a road side cafe yet a similar price.... won't be returning...

Good food (ribs are an absolute treat). Unfortunately the waitress was unsure of what kind of flavour profile Memphis BBQ is, claiming she had only worked there for 3 days. I for one don't believe it. Any BBQ waitress worth there salt will know the flavour profile in and out and should be able to tell me what kind of pit they're running in the back (I assume an indirect stick burner but I will now never know). Overall worth it for the ribs alone.

I had been here a few years ago and remeber it being really cool with great food. So suggested we went for a family dinner before a show at the roundhouse - I ordered for the family before everyone arrived as we only had 1hr 15 before we had to leave to make the show - the staff said they would make sure the food came on time. 35 minutes later no food or drinks at the table. Others around complaining about waiting too. After about 50 minutes, some food came but not all. The food we ate we paid for and they took the other food off the bill. They explained it was due to short staff in the kitchen which is fair enough, but we should have been notified when we first came in and when we said we were on tight schedule.
Staff seemed flustered even though it wasn't that busy really. Perhaps they should print out a schedule of whats on at the roundhouse and put more staff on around those times?

Food wasn't even that great in the end! Disappointed to say the least.

Took the order incorrectly, blamed the til.
Served one plate later than others and started trying to clear plates before everyone was finished. Staff weren't rude but equally weren't great communicators.

Food was below par for what I expected based on price.

food was generally over a very high standard. i had a burger and it was immense. some friends had the sharing platter but found the chicken to be a little too dry. the cocktails are great but service could have been a lot faster as at times some of us had drinks and others didnt. also the waiting staff were a little too fast to take drinks from the table that wasnt finished with. if these things were sorted then i'd say this would be a good 9 out of 10. as it is i think 7 out of 10 for me.

Several things missing off menu / Playing Euro dance music in an American themed restaurant?? / Beans were clearly microwaved / chicken was dry / staff were friendly, but not very attentive / burger and drinks were good :-)

Generally speaking having been here a few times previously I sadly feel that the standards have markedly slipped.

Staff were not that helpful or friendly. They did however double up on our drinks order, which would have been fine, if they hadn't expected us to pay for their mistake. Instead they took the 12.5% service charge off, which I was never gonna pay anyhow, given the lack of engagement and positivity from all the waiting staff. The restaurant wasn't busy, so there not excuse.

Food was average. Beef rib was clearly heated in the microwave, rather that fresh off the BBQ.

Beer was nice and the selection of bourbon, excellent!

Food is American BBQ, ribs, burnt ends etc.
Portions are American potions so you will need a doggie bag!
The baby back ribs just fell of the bone and had a lovely flavour. We went here ahead of a gig, food and service was fast would definitely go again.

Card machine not working so had to find cash machine. Although the servers were very pleasant the service was a bit slow and had to chase up for our drinks. Mains also arrived whilst still on starters. Food nice enough though.

Food was ok, service was ok - ordered a salad to go with our mains & it sat on the table for around 30 mins before the rest of the food came, for some reason the staff seemed to think it was a starter but had brought us no plates to eat it off. Card machine was not working on our visit which was annoying.

My girlfriend and I were very much looking forward to a "cheat" meal and a cheat meal it was! The calamari was really tender and the service started out attentive. After the starters came all hope was lost for getting any more attention from ANY waiting staff, it wasn't overly busy for a Saturday night but the team seemed to be in a great mood, hence the fact they were doing tequila while I was trying to order out mains, water was never refreshed and we were never offered any more drinks after the first one. They missed out there. While I was in the bathroom my girlfriend had to literally shout ( to the point where I could nearly hear her ) to get attention to pick up the bill. Food was good and flavoursome but the service was terrible. Witch unfortunately brings the overall experience down.
