Very good food, very good service, good value, would definitely recommend.
The food was nice but i'd expected better. It was quite dried up and difficult to swallow. The restaurant felt clutered and uncared for .
Great service, pricey beers and mediocre, dry food.
The venue itself and staff are great, it is just a shame that the food doesn't match. Both the wings and the ribs were incredibly dry and while not inedible, not great. When you compare this place to the quality American BBQ joints in London, it is definitely nearer the bottom end of quality
Service great and very friendly. Food good but not outstanding and lots of it. Went with a Time Out voucher so was good value.
The food was very poor.
Nachos had cheese that seemed to have been melted the day before and they had run out of chicken! The ribs were good but quite honestly, overall, it was a disappointment.
The staff were lovely though.
Really good food and generous portions. Look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu
Staff looked after us and even made a special treat for the 2 womaen whos bday it was. Manager was a legend thank you
Great for BBQ lovers. The meat and the chicken wings was great. nice staff.
Love this place. I took my partner here on our first date, we returned 4 years later and this place is still as great as ever. The Food is naughty, a feast for the senses and perfect for foodies. Craft beers, great music and interior decor. Only one problem with this place... it’s too far away! Come to Cardiff already!
Fantastic appearance and very friendly and helpful staff, nice looking menu, starters excellent but unfortunately mains didn’t quite live up to expectations and especially quality of starters.
No need this time! The same as my last review! Brilliant!!!! Service: fabulous! Food: great!!
Wait staff: very efficient and friendly!
Brilliant, thank you to all team that looked after us. We were heading to a gig at the assembly which wasn’t great but porky’s was. Would visit again.
The waiter(ess) were just brilliant! The mixologist, Andre, was especially fun! Makes a killer drink! Highly recommended!
Will make it a regular place!
The food was disgusting very overrated reviews, and the service charge on the bill was disgusting as we didn’t have any service. We will definitely not be returning.
Service and food was fab, will definitely be back when next in London
Our lunch at Porky's BBQ Camden was incredible. I love BBQ and this really hit the spot.
Great menu options and our group chose between pulled pork burgers and salads.
Service was friendly although on a busy Saturday afternoon we did have to wait a while before the food came out.
Pulled pork burger was delicious. Discovered JD Tennessee Cider here too which is like heaven in a bottle.
Nothing special, very small portions - the ribs were small and nothing outstanding. I was expecting much more based on the reviews
Tasty bbq food with friendly, attentive staff. Worth a visit and would defo go back.
The first time ever that I stopped eating, and refused to pay. The staff were great and service was fine. We ordered the sharing platter, and almost everything piece of meat was dry, tough and flavourless. I wasn't going to pay. So I left. I hope it was just a bad day for the chef.
Can’t really rate - waited for 45 mins for pulled pork nacho starter, pulled pork was cold. Sent back. Replaced. Cold again. Returned. Apparently that’s how it’s served. And the delay was due to a problem with the printer in the kitchen. Asked to pay for the drinks, but we were then leaving. Told
No charge, hence 2 stars. Visited after seeing them on instagram. Would not return/recommend.
Went to porkys as we love trying different bbq places.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly
The food is great
The hostess in charge was exceptional
Very chatty and knowledgeable
When our food order arrived wrong she was quick to compensate us and get our original order to us ASAP
It’s about the same price as other similar eateries but the food is of great quality. I’d recommend the baby back ribs; the coating they put on and the smoker does them justice. The meat falls off the bone and is very tasty. I had a chocolate shake which was really good too
They had run out of beef briskets which was a bummer. Other than that the ribs, pulled pork and the starters were generally good.
AMAZING PULLED PORK!!
Good food, good service, good value. All you need on a night out !
Had to wait 35mins for ribs as had run out. Would have thought that you should’ve given some complimentary starters but didn’t!!
Ribs a little fatty.
Lighting terrible but otherwise it was a reasonable dining experience. Not sure if I’d bother to go back!
Food was lovely and generous portions. The ambience was very American smokehouse and strong connection to Tennessee, a lot of jack Daniel through the menu and decor.
We didn't try any this time around but seems like the drinks are good to as a few couples came in just for a drink towards the later end of the evening
Great staff, excellent selections of craft beers, relaxed atmosphere and the best wings in London!
Pre-gig fuelling. Attentive and helpful staff. Thank you.
Burger was good.chips underdone very thin.messy eating.would be nice if given moisture wipes to clean hands.service not good.
Porkys has the look of your quinessential American Barbecue joint with dim lighting, friendly staff and stripped down decor that allows the food to take center stage.
The menu covers all your usual suspects with ribs galore along with pulled pork, burnt ends, burgers, wings and things accompanied by staple sides such as barbecue beans (standout side), coleslaw and fries.
The meat in general is cooked pretty well, some come with sticky barbecue sauce, others are of the dry rub variety. My only criticism is that the chicken seemed to have been kept on a hotplate with the meat dried out although soft. Felt a little disappointed as the ribs were tender and well flavoured and the pulled pork still retained all its juices having been slow cooked. Other than the aforementioned 'coq' up, the food is good if not spectacular.
Porky's price wise competes with other like minded establishments such as Big Easy and Bodeans but unfortunately without quite the same execution. Given it's location it might be considered a little expensive for what it offers, but you will never go home hungry!
It was quiet when we went. Great for pre gig meal and beers. Nice bbq. Frickles good to compliment bbq. Attentive and efficient service.
Veri nice place, the food was good and the portions large. The service is perfect, all the staff is great! Perfect for friends!
Good service - Some of the food came out cold but was tasty.
As expected the food was 5star
Service was excellent by friendly staff, they wasn't rushing you or bombarding you.
Would highly recommend the burgers, my son said the ribs were the best he has ever had. We didn't wait long for our food or drinks.
Amazing staff!! Delicious Food!
It was awful the food was extremely dry
It was really bad
I was really skeptical after reading some pretty bad reviews about eating here, but I must say the service was brilliant and the food was really lovely. My boyfriend and I shared the baby back ribs with sides of fries and man and cheese and we polished of every bit (we LOVE ribs)
There was a new cocktail waiter who was a little unexperienced but was so accommodating to my feedback and tried his best to get the margaritas just right.
We had a really lovely evening and would definitely come back!! I really don't understand all the negative feed back.
Thanks for having us x
Rubbish food, most of the children's menu unavailable with little alternative. Had to send my ribs back as they were dry and tough... second lot quite fatty. Overpriced for what it is. Not convinced the food is BBQ'd as claimed..... should have stuck with the 'big easy ' at Covent Garden which makes this place look like a road side cafe yet a similar price.... won't be returning...
