Situated on the eighth floor of the Port of Leith Distillery, the Bar contains some of the finest and most exciting new wave whiskies from Scotland and around the world.

With stunning views of Edinburgh, Leith and the Firth of Forth, the 200-bottle double-height back bar is intended to invite discovery and enlightenment at the sheer wonder and variety of global whisky alchemy.

Much like the whisky the distillery seeks to create, everything else the bar has to offer is inspired by the provenance of the Forth Valley, and Leith’s rich food and drink heritage.

With a seasonally inspired food menu of local and indigenous ingredients, Head Chef Patrick and his team, combine classic and modern techniques, championing the best of Scotland’s farmers and produce.

We look forward to welcoming you in for a dram.

Our Kitchen closes at 9:30pm Tuesday - Saturday and 7:30pm Sunday - Monday.
Our Bar Snacks menu runs all night.

Leith Whisky Club is a regular social gathering held at the Port of Leith Distillery Bar. The goal of LWC is simply to open some interesting whisky and meet likeminded folk whilst doing it. The summer days are ending which means we're entering whisky season! Naturally this is a fitting time for our distiller and whisky hero Gabriel to get back into the spotlight. For our seventh instalment, Gabriel will be showcasing some seriously special drams through the decades, kicking off with the swinging 60s. He has also nodded that he'll bring along something he has been working on downstairs in our distillery. One not to miss!

Very high quality food, drink, service, views - and of course - amazing Whisky. Highly recommend to Edinburgh locals and visitors - it's worth the trip over to Leith.

Great experience- three of us went on the distillery tour which was excellent and I’d booked a table in the bar for afterwards. We had a super table by a window- the views are wonderful even on a grey day - and a sharing platter along with our drinks. Great service and good food- we’ll be back!

This was our third visit since it opened and the first time during the day, when we could really appreciate the views. The food, drinks, service and ambience were excellent and we will definitely return in the future.

The food and the views over the Firth of Forth were great. We went at lunchtime, and the noise levels were quite low. We sat at a table by the window. It had high stools, so might not have suited everyone. The small plates were pretty generous. We had two each, which turned out to be more than enough, and which were all delicious. Meat free options are unusual and well worth trying. I would definitely visit again. If you are planning to combine a meal out with a trip to the distillery downstairs, wear sensible shoes.
