Situated on the eighth floor of the Port of Leith Distillery, the Bar contains some of the finest and most exciting new wave whiskies from Scotland and around the world.

With stunning views of Edinburgh, Leith and the Firth of Forth, the 200-bottle double-height back bar is intended to invite discovery and enlightenment at the sheer wonder and variety of global whisky alchemy.

Much like the whisky the distillery seeks to create, everything else the bar has to offer is inspired by the provenance of the Forth Valley, and Leith’s rich food and drink heritage.

With a seasonally inspired food menu of local and indigenous ingredients, Head Chef Patrick and his team, combine classic and modern techniques, championing the best of Scotland’s farmers and produce.

We look forward to welcoming you in for a dram.

Our Kitchen closes at 9:30pm Tuesday - Saturday and 7:30pm Sunday - Monday.
Our Bar Snacks menu runs all night.

Lovely snacks to compliment your drink. We had the curried carrot soup with sourdough, gorgeous and shared a cheese board . Views are great. Staff friendly .

Our service was subpar. We felt ignored and dismissed by the staff, possibly because we were a same sex couple. This was unfortunate since we hoped to recommend the bar to friends who are planning to visit in the future. We will go to other places next time we’re in town.

I can assure you that all staff receive training on equality, diversity and inclusion when they join our team - discrimination is not tolerated by management and this behaviour would be very out of character from anyone in our team. However, I promise that management will investigate further to discover why service was poor when you visited and ensure these values are being upheld by the team. Had a really lovely visit. Staff were excellent and the atmosphere very friendly. The food was outstanding and the views to die for.

We had the charcuterie board and were disappointed, there wasn’t a good variety of meat, mostly venison and the sourdough bread was toasted and almost impossible to eat. Apart from that the chips and wine were pretty good and there is an excellent selection of whisky.

We had a super meal following our tour around the distillery. Tour was excellent and the food was also great. Ambience with super views all round was top notch. This experience is well worth the trip.
