Two lovely visits to Portofino this week - firstly with my family for Mum's birthday, and again with my best friends. Delightful food, friendly and attentive service and a really good buzz in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the 2nd visit was a little marred by an incredibly rude woman who complained *loudly* about ev...er...y...thing! The staff were polite and professional despite the tirade directed their way - so much so that the entire restaurant cheered and applauded once the couple left. The lady then proceeded to walk along the outside of the restaurant and slam every window shut - much to our amusement. The whole place cheered up and good spirits then resumed and everyone commended the staff for their handling of the couple. My best friends have just moved into the area so Portofino will definitely become our new meet up spot :) By the way - best arancini I've tasted! H

This is a place that is head and shoulders above other restaurants. Food stunning 😍 Staff can't do enough for you and the personal touch they provide is amazing.. Can't wait for my next visit.. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

After being shown to the table we waited 20mins for someone to take a drinks order, when food came it was lovely had starter and main, then asked if we wanted dessert they brought the menu and we waited for them to come and take our dessert order but after 25 mins decided to go up to the bar settle our bill and leave

Lovely meal here today to celebrate our anniversary. Service was good and food very tasty unable to finish due to portions being large. Nice selection on the menu and specials, will definitely return and recommend.

Booked last minute and so glad we chose Portofino , the food was outstanding- had garlic mushrooms and bread and oils to start and then the chicken special with mushroom sauce and Linguine marina both so good . We had a few drinks each too . Would highly recommend.

This was our second visit and we took good friends with us who were very impressed. Almost everything was perfect. I was however devastated that there was no Tirimisu. I survived however by choosing Profiteroles. 😆 The waitress was lovely too.

Lovely decor, gorgeous food, pleasant low level Italian themed music, very attentive staff. I had informed the staff of my Dad's birthday and they served his dessert on a birthday board with a lovely limoncello which was a nice surprise for him, thank you 😊 we will return for more delicious food.

Have eaten here before and it’s very nice and lovely to have on our doorstep. Service could be a bit quicker, but doesn’t spoil the experience. Our only disappointment on this occasion was the bruschetta starter was very small. We have shared in the past but only one small slice this time. We will return as no other issues. The waitresses were lovely and helpful and the seafood marinara was delicious.

Excellent food and service with a good ambience and music choice to enhance the Italian experience. The restaurant is easy to find but parking is on the street, free after 6pm or in the carpark adjacent to Lidl. Good value for money and choice of dishes. Would recommend for dinner and look forward to going there again.

Dined here on Saturday 24th June and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. The only downside was service was very slow, the restaurant was busy and could have done with at least 1 if not 2 more people serving

Lovely meal, great value and first class service however it asked on the booking form if this was a special occasion and it was a 20yr wedding anniversary which I informed them of however we had no acknowledgment of this not even a free shot, bit disappointed.

Very good experience. Food so tasty. I has calamari.. Risotto... Tiramasso... Every mouthful was a taste sensation. Lovely staff. Did think... although very good.. cocktails were a bit pricey. Will definately recommend this restaurant and will be returning ASAP.
