DELICIOUS FOOD, great service and the owner is very much involved with his restaurant he came and asked how we heard about the restaurant and all. It was an awesome experience overall!

Primo nestled into the base of Hawthorne Blvd as you start heading into the hills. When you step inside the room is dark but has big windows, tall ceilings and a beautiful wooden beam that stretches across the ceiling above the bar. The music was softly playing r&b and soft rock tunes, and all the staff were nice and pleasant.

The food was delicious! We had the calamari fritto, caprese salad, calm linguini and truffle pizza. Everything was good, not one complaint on any of the food. I was so impressed that I promised myself I would be back. Makes a very nice dinner for girls night out (for more of the grown and sexy vibe) or a date night. You can also bring your family but I wouldn't recommend for babies.

Our party jumped out with black truffle everything as it was the first family outing in months. Special wine from Dau closed the evening. I recommend Primo Italia to all.

We’ve been here many times pre COVID and loves it, but we’re a little hesitant to go back now. We were so happy to see that they have set up tables outside on their courtyard with heaters and beautiful lights! :) The food and service was excellent as always. We highly recommend it.

Our favorite date night spot.

Loved the food (wonderful-top 3 carpaccio), the warmth of the owner and the ambiance. Service began very very well but dropped slightly after an hour. We waited for our server to get a steak knife and to order dessert but just decided on the check instead. That being said this is a place well worth the visit and a definite return.

Primo’s is one of our favorite restaurants! Excellent Italian food and steaks.

Great food and they have done an excellent job in bringing these ding experience outside.

This was our first time here and I thought it was ok. I did not like the dipping sauce with the bread. I would have preferred an oil and vinegar dipping sauce for the bread. My fiancé ordered the salmon and said it was ok. I ordered the clam linguini but the waiter got my order wrong and brought me the lasagna. The restaurant gave us the lasagna for free since it was the wrong order while my meal was prepared. My fiancé was done with his meal before my meal came to the table. Overall it was an ok experience, nothing great.

Tha food and the service top notch. Very attentive staff. We had multiple appetizers such as Carpaccio, Sicilians salad, gnocchi Alla romana and truffle pizza all flavorful and delicious. Home made special smoked salmon pasta was delicious as well. And of course the desert tiramisu and berry panda cotta

Primo always exceeds our expectations. The outdoor patio has plenty of heaters and they offer cozy blankets as well. We had grilled octopus and calamari appetizers, and entrees of salmon, branzino, and the Florentine porterhouse steak. What a feast!

2/14 - food was great. Unfortunately, we were sat at the dark side of the outdoor dining area... where the heaters “did not work” until we were about to leave one of the staff members was asked about the heaters because it was freezing and windy, where he then turned on all 3 heaters that supposedly “did not work”. Our table was on a incline causing the table to wobble, was not asked about fixing our table wobble. Overall service was below my expectations and below what I paid to eat there.

My boy Lou, the owner, totally hooked it up with a rose for my girlfriend. He’s an awesome dude and has a boys back.

It was nice to be able to eat at Primo, even though it’s still just outdoor dining. Great as always!

Absolutely loved this restaurant!!! We drove all the way from Rancho Cucamonga to try it and it did not disappoint. The food, service, and ambiance was fantastic! The owner Lou was very involved and greeted us on our way out. This says a lot about the restaurant. We will definitely be dining here again. It was a great first impression.

It was a great experience, I loved the views outside and the food was great , you can tell it is cooked fresh and with care. This is an outstanding Italian restaurant.

A group of close friends and I went out to celebrate Valentine’s Day together. After being seated, they quickly brought out bread for starters while we looked at the menu. After a while, our server returned to take our orders. We ordered a lasagna, ravioli, and spaghetti pasta dish along with fried calamari as an appetizer. We also decided to indulge in a bottle of their rose wine. What was supposed to be a lovely dinner turned into a disaster with the long waiting times to wait for our server. We then received some pasta dish instead of the lasagna that my friend had ordered and the waiter told us that the incorrect dish would be free of charge as they made a mistake. Another server brought out the lasagna and when it was time to receive the check, the waiter told us that they don’t split the check. Upon receiving the check, we just paid and left as we no longer wanted to be there. Once we returned to our vehicle to sort out the cost amongst my group of friends, we realized we were overcharged. The “free” pasta we had been given was included in our bill. Needless to say we will never be returning again.

The food was wonderful and the service was excellent.

First timers at Primo we found that the quality of the ingredients and preparation of the dishes was absolutely top notch. We started out with the mussels in a a tomato type sauce and they were the best most tender tasty mussels we have ever had. The fresh bread was wonderful as was a delicious green olive tapenade. My wife had the argentine prawns and the scallop pasta. First time seeing the argentine prawns which seem more like a lobster that shrimp and they meat was so flavorful and they were served split and charred like a lobster. I had the veal which was really good. Serving sizes were very generous and we both took plenty home and took a Tagliatelle all Bolognese home that was an excellent companion to our leftovers. Rarely will you find a restaurant that can grapple with the covid restaurant restrictions but manages to provide excellent quality, service and ambiance these days. We will be back often. I will start again first thing with the pear and gin martini, can't wait. Highly recommended.

Since there's only outdoor dining at the moment, be prepared for chilly evenings! They have blankets, but not enough to go around. The filet mignon with demi glaze is phenomenal and the tiramisu is delightful.

For Valentines Day

each time we eat here it gets better and better. The food is delicious and I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Even though we were outside and distancing due to covid, Primo Italia made our dining experience exceptionally good. Thank you!

Primo Italia has become one of our Go To dining and drink destinations. The food, wine and cocktails are consistently of high quality, the staff members are friendly and attentive, and the outdoor dining area is spacious and pleasant.
