Service wasn't the best... Food quality wasn't the best either... Burger didn't taste fresh. A bit of a ripoff for the price.

However the patio is pretty quiet which we enjoyed.

It was definitely a little lack lustre. Not very many people at the place so it was very quiet. Just seemed to have lived out its popularity.

The bar was closed, the app told us it was open, went there and couldn’t even go anywhere else because of the time.

Jamie and Marly made the experience what it was . Jamie’s bartending skills were nothing short of amazing and marly always seemed to recommend the perfect dishes- from the honey glazed octopus to the falafel , everything including the casual conversation with the proof staff was fantastic .

The waiter Marlee is Expert. The service is Fast. The ambience is Sophisticated.

I am disappointed. I purposely requested through OpenTable to reserve one of the Igloos (note was made). When my guest and I arrived we were told the igloos were already in use and that my reservation (in my perspective) was not properly fulfilled. No one called ahead of time to confirm or tell me that the reservation couldn’t be made. I wanted to leave but I stayed because of my guest. It still wasn’t the experience we/I initially hoped for. And I didn’t complain to the manager because of my guest.

And then I went there last night with a couple of friends. Mind you we were already drunk but because it’s possible they wanted to close up for the night, my drink (of which I only had approximately 3 or 4 sips of) was taken away when I wasn’t looking! And I’m unsure why my drink was taken away when my friends still had theirs (maybe the server didn’t take their drinks because they likely had theirs in their hands). The server said it was just foam left when I brought it to her attention but my memory is pretty good and that was not the case. I asked for more water, not to get my drink taken away! And those cocktails aren’t exactly cheap.

Anyway, I have been to this place 3 times total where the first was just alright; and the other two simply distasteful/disrespectful. I am left feeling that they’re just a money grabbing space with no actual value, other than a space to eat (food isn’t spectacular) and drink (bartending could be kicked up a notch for flavour profiles). They could do considerably better with customer service. And yes - I am pretty (understandably) upset that my drink was taken away without my consent/when I was clearly done with it, and irked that they didn’t do their due diligence of telling me that a certain service wasn’t available.

I don’t want to come here again. I will only do so because of my friends (it’s conveniently located close to the ROM) or if they actually do something to make my experience less foul.

Proof bar was very spacious, the searing area was superbeb, I was skeptical that I wouldn’t like it but it was great, it was pretty empty but that’s what me and my friends wanted, the good was pretty salty though

Found by an accident on our way to Casa Loma for their Halloween event, great food and service!

For my first time coming here I wasn't left disappointed. Very cozy setting that felt like I was in my living room, and the jazz music playing set the tone. Prompt service from our waitress, I will definitely be coming back.

Server was slow, did not offer any drink top ups, half the time unable to find sometimes. Took 60 minutes for food to arrive. Very small portions

So the app is requesting that i give a review about this experience. Unfortunately, despite making a reservation for 8 people two weeks ago, when i arrived the restaurant was closed for a private function. It would have been marginally nice, perhaps even borderline professional for Proof to have contacted me or even cancelled the reservation but that was not in the cards. Fortunately we were able to have a meal in the hotel restaurant and watch the merriment in the lovely outdoor patio where i'm certain all were having a nice time.

You feel very welcome and the Martinis are amazing. Our waiter even went and got a pack of cigarettes for my friend. Our waiter also custom build our meat and cheese board including real honeycomb. Really an amazing place that I will return to. Lots of cabs for your ride home too.
