It was mixed experience. The service was a tad off in that the staff didn’t clean up dirty dishes on the small table which made eating in a cluttered space challenging but the manager and bus staff made it happen when we were overloaded. One of my pet peeves is having to remind wait staff about request and that happened more than I like here. But the food was good!
Excellent service and food!
Loud restaurant with tiny tables. Could not hear my dining companion from less than 3 feet away across the table. Kevin waiter was really great! Kevin was the only highlight. Music started and it only got LOUDER! (no disrespect to live musician who was very good) I was charged $23.45 for the brick chicken MENU PRICE IS $21.45 = Why $2 more? I did not catch that until after the bill was presented to me, but I wanted to get out of there. Crab "dip" was so/so nothing great for $13.99 and NOTHING ON MENU about WHERE crab came from. I assume from mealy, bland taste it came from Asia. My friend's "special" of "steak sammy" sandwich at $18.99 was barely edible. Fortunately, the "drink special" of $6 glass chardonnay held us til we could get out of there. Strange "decorating" with large mirrors propped against walls adding to some ocular confusion and perhaps safety issues.
Really LOVED the food! I got to the sundried tomato chicken carbonara and the wings to start, my friend had their proper burger (which he really liked but was jealous of the carbonara :) )
It's a little loud, but that adds to the fun feel of the restaurant. Would highly recommend trying this restaurant!
Great service and food!
Food and service was excellent. Great waiter.
Good food delivered by very attentive waiter. Happy hour throughout restaurant. Upscale bar food. Very crowded. Reservations on a Friday
Excellent food and service. Little loud but all in all a pleasant surprise.
We were there Sunday night before a show at the Warner. We found seats at the bar, but after about 30 minutes, we noticed that while the place was busy, no one had any food. Our bartender then told us that the kitchen was short-staffed, and that a lot of the crowd had come in at the same time. She apologized profusely and offered to comp most of our check. The Monkey Bread appetizer was good. We finally got our food about 10 minutes before we needed to leave. Meh. Kitchen emergency - I'll give them a pass; might give them another shot if we're down there.
Great food!!! Great service !! Will be back !!
A good place for a social gathering but not for a date or for a meal where you want to have conversation. For our reservation, they gave a us a shared table in the bar area. I asked for a table that we didn't have to share and they accommodated but we waited for 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the other tables are under a rounded ceiling which caused the sound to bounce from the other side of the rounding. I heard the neurotic girl across the room with endless romance problems who never stopped to take a breath far better than I could hear either my husband or our server who were right next to me. The food was good but took quite a while for delivery. They may have been having an off night, as all the staff seemed to be hurrying around looking kind of stressed, so perhaps its normally better-timed. However, despite looking stressed, our server was very kind and gracious and did a good job.
It was aight. I had bigger expectations so I guess this review is slightly skewed. Either way the steak was good and the atmosphere was legit. I still recommend.
My husband I were grabbing a quick nosh before a concert. We had a few shareable appetizers that were quite tasty and large. The service was very good and efficient. It is a sports bar so it is noisy, so just be aware. Overall very good value.
Fun place with a great Happy Hour. Live music post HH, nice vibe. Our server, Briana was adorable and very professional. We were headed to the Warner for a concert and 21 Proper delivered us a wonderful meal with excellent service, getting us to the show on time. Thanks, we’ll be back.
Had a great time at bottomless brunch!! Would go again!
Food great but atmosphere poor. Went for lunch and i could mot tell whether i was in night club, sports bar, or restaurant. Big TVs had sports and CNN while music was blaring Michael Jackson. Lights were so bright. Seating was mix of aluminum chairs and shiny blue leather banquettes. Floor was glossy. Was like having lunch in night club. Just weird.
Love this place. My favorite place in town to go to lunch. Fast, great food, great atmosphere.
Had the best brunch experience here. Not a ton of options but they are all outstanding and reasonably priced. Bottomless brunch with entree included is $29, great value, great drinks, great food, great service.
It was fine.
We really enjoyed the food. Great selection. Super friendly waiter. It was a great break from work and we felt energized and well cared for!
I don’t think I’ll ever understand why places that are empty seat two large groups *right* next to each other. Our server was nice but forgot a few things. He did go out if his way to try & accommodate once things were brought to his attention. Food was mediocre at best for a brunch. Oh well, maybe next birthday...
Best Moscow mule my wife’s had!
Fun place. Love the vibe but super loud with live music. Waiter was great. Very helpful with our crazy food needs.
Friday was live music night.
Took a few moments to get the attention of the reception desk. It improved after that - great server (GiGi). Great service and perfect food .
My husband and I went for brunch before a show at National Theatre. We made a reservation but was not needed as the place was empty except for one table at noon on a Sunday. We decided to sit at a high top in the bar area. We were greeted right away by the bartender with few menus. Small brunch menu on one side with option of unlimited mimosa and other side was about 4-5 appetizers, 3-4 small plate and 4-5 entree choices which you can opt to “bundle” into a full meal for a fixed price.
I ordered a la cart a Southwest salad and ask for grilled chicken instead of fried as described on menu. Salad was a good portion and chunks of chicken was grilled nicely. Besides lettuce there was just tomatoes, shredded cheese and thin tortilla chips. Not much else. My husband ordered the egg/bacon/potato scramble off the brunch menu which arrived with grilled toast and jam. He said there was mostly potatoes and eggs with a few cut up bacon pieces. It was just ok. Not bad, just nothing memorable. The bartender was attentive though. Kept our water glasses and my iced tea filled. Overall an ok experience. They cater more to after work happy hour crowds.
The service was wonderful. The food was first-class. We had just come from the National Theater, had our tickets, and got a complementary glass of wine. Our server even took an interest in how we enjoyed the show. Will definitely go back.
Went in for a quick dinner as it was new our hotel. It is exactly what it says it is. A casual place for a nice drink/meal and perhaps watch a sporting event on the many TVs or before/after sightseeing or a show at the nearby theater. Food was very tasty and the prices are very reasonable.
This place was a gem for a Sunday football game and brunch...great brunch specials...will be back!
We visited this restaurant prior to a show at the National Theater. It was perfect for our family of four. Gigi was our server. She was attentive to the happy hour specials, keeping our drinks filled, and made menu recommendations for the healthy eaters in the group. She was by far the best waitress we’ve experienced this holiday season. Thanks for your personable, enthusiastic service Gigi!
We arrived for our lunch reservation and the bartender informed us that the kitchen staff had been given two days off for the holidays and no food was available.
Proper accommodated our party of 8 with 4 children. The service was attentive but relaxed and personable. Food was prompt and tasty. Cocktails were also well mixed and interesting. I’d love to go back for cocktails and try more of the appetizers and dips. It would make for a great happy hour or casual night out with elevated American fare and drinks.
Food was very good though 3 of our dishes came out lukewarm at best. It was a busy Saturday night but still timing in the kitchen is everything. The manager was more than generous and took of 2 of the meals from the check. The rest of the experience was very good. It was a bit louder than expected but that was because of the Patriots football game.
Overall a good experience and I’d recommend the restaurant.
The service was terrible, the food wasn't great, and it was very loud. Everyone working seemed like they were in a hurry. Not great for lunch when you don't have more than an hour to eat.
Service could have been slightly faster for lunch. Otherwise great food and menu!
Waited at our table 25 minutes before being acknowledged by our waitress, no one even came by to fill our water glasses. Service was poor, not even an apology from the waitress was given, in fact she was annoyed with me. My order was wrong, not even the food was good, it will not be a place I will return to when I have tickets to a show at the National Theater.
