    My second visit there and I enjoyed it more than the first. Good delicious but not much choice if vegetarian. I will be back though! And will recommend it to others.

    The booking was for Sunday lunch. They had run out of roast beef. My pork when it arrived was stone cold and so was the leeks side order. They reheated it but retuned my plate with half the veg missing. Disappointing for a pricey Sunday lunch

    This was first visit and the food was delicious but it wasn’t very hot unfortunately. The service was excellent the atmosphere was a bit energetic.

    Food was good but not many options and the dishes we had tried had the same sauces: fried sage, parsley sauce, etc. They should be a bit more more creative. Prices are a bit too high, especially considering mains do not have a side. Service was a bit slow. I would recommend but I won't be a regular as it is a bit too pricey for what you get.

    Excellent all round. Lovely menu with good veggie options. Desserts are outstanding. Great wine list. Superb quality and lovely service - attentive, friendly but not in your face! Love it.

    The evening temperature was a little chilly: but we had a very good birthday meal for 4 of us. Wine list is varied enough, the service was first class and the food choices were much enjoyed (with maybe the sauce on the sirloins not our favourite on this occasion)

    A group of 9 had Sunday lunch one of which is a coeliac, which was very well accommodated. The food was outstanding- amazing array of veg. Recommend extremely highly

    This was my second visit and it won’t be my last. The food is outstanding, the portions are extremely generous. Fantastic platter of potatoes and vegetables, the fennel in particular was amazing. Both the additional cauliflower cheese and the leeks were delicious. We just about managed dessert which were also wonderful. The service was friendly and the fire was going so it was lovely and warm. There were quite a few young children dining, so there was moderate noise, but it added to the ambience and we were still able to talk easily. Highly recommend.

    Superb food, so tasty and beautifully presented. Service very friendly and prompt. Ask for a blanket if chilly (even indoors) - one of favourite places to eat.

    The food was very interest especially the vegetables I could have just eaten them and I am very much a meat lover. However some of the dishes were luke warm and the restaurant was very cold although there was a big fire in the other room. The loos were freezing❄️But the staff were very attentive and I would go again

    Staff were welcoming and friendly. They really made us feel at home. The food was superb and the coffee is wonderful. Only small negative was that the lack of soft furnishings makes it noisy and the older members of our party struggled to hear at times.

    The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and the food was absolutely amazing - it is rare to find a restaurant where the vegetarian option is just as good as the meat option. We loved it and will definitely be returning.

    We met friends for lunch, at our suggestion. We enjoy going to Provenance and didn’t bother to check the menu. One is a vegetarian and we were really embarrassed how poorly vegetarians are catered for. Such a shame.

    We have been here many times and it never fails to please. The Sunday Lunch is the best we have ever eaten anywhere and we will be back many more times to enjoy this great place.

    I had booked for a family birthday celebration for Sunday lunch. There were 3 generations at the table and we were so well looked after in all respects. Starters really tasty, main beef and chicken very generous portions, hearty roasted vegetables (had ordered extra cauliflower cheese x3 and leeks x2 but needn’t have ordered many extra sides as portions were really generous) Wonderful waitresses and a very relaxed atmosphere for us all Thank you!

    Friendly staff but inexperienced. We were brought coffee without sugar and with one spoon for two! I ordered the roasted vegetables. Half were not edible because too hard or stringy (leeks).

    The food was lovely as always but the service was really disappointing. We’ve been to provenance a number of times and always have a great time but on this occasion the service was not up to their usual standard. We waited 15 minutes after we eventually got our drinks, before we had to ask to order our food. Food arrived really quickly and was fab, but no one checked on our table so we had to ask for more drinks. When we ordered deserts, we weren’t given cutlery and had to ask 2 different members of staff for cutlery before we could eat our desserts. It’s a shame as we always have such a lovely time but we left feeling a little bit let down.

    The second Sunday we have come for lunch. The quality of the whole experience was amazing. Lovely welcoming staff who really look after the customers. The food was of the highest quality and cooked beautifully. Fantastic place to go to.
