So delicious. The flavors of each dish were unique and amazing. We loved evehrthing even the drinks and desserts. Thomas our server was really sweet and helpful. Definitely will be back

The food is potbelly was delicious and innovative and we enjoyed most of the tapas style offerings. We ate outside where it was cool and very breezy but Covid dictated. Wish they had stores in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Food was not good at all. Flavors sounded great on the menu but never delivered on the palate. Disappointed.

I really enjoyed Pubbelly!

The butter krab roll was like a mind F*ck.... butter and sushi, your brain can’t quite put that together, and I thought, I’m not going to go to a sushi restaurant and just get a giant roll of imitation crab lol but the server & my husband convinced me it was worth a try and Ha! What fun, I love interesting confusing things like that, that just work! Delightful!

We also tried the salmon taquitos which were so tasty! They’re actually like two little mini tacos but packed with flavor!

We also got about 4 different rolls including the Shrimp Tempura which was one of my favorites! I didn’t expect it to be as full of flavor as it was because you see shrimp tempura on so many sushi menus but this was a delightful version!
The yellowtail roll was also so fresh and vibrant, loved the lightness and brightness of the flavors!

It was a little hard to understand the server, we were seated outside and although I much appreciated the safety and sanitary precautions they take at the restaurant, we had a difficult time hearing him through his mask. I didn’t want to be rude and ask him to speak up but projection would be appreciated! That would be my only “thing” otherwise it’s so minor it’s hardly worth mentioning!

Anyway...

There are still quite a few things I want to try on the menu and it will take going back many times to get through it all! Which I’m perfectly happy with!

Love love love. From service to the menu, the flavor palettes are amazing. Very detailed menu with fine ingredients. The service is impeccable. Can’t wait till I come back.

Good good but expensive. The biggest issue is that our waiters mask kept falling down as he spoke. I had to remind him constantly to put it back up. Its still covid no matter how warm it is or how fatigued people might be. Keep your mask up please.

Food wise, the chef clearly tries to do different things. The execution was just too muddled. Too much going on that all the plates lose focus (and I like complex, fun food). There is also way too much use of imitation Krab in everything including the lobster dynamite.
Our biggest issue is their blatant disregard of COVID safety. We walked in with plenty social distancing snd tables removed just to see them all moved back through our 1 1/2 hours of dining. What was the point of making it safe in the first place? To lure you in and then just throw caution in the wind? By the time we left we felt like we were in a sardine box. Bottom lines fun Izakaya food, but most just doesn’t come together. If you consider going, sit outside!

Great time during Valentine’s Day. Back to life soup is a must try! Great drink specials as well. Lovely place to take someone you just met. Hip and trendy.

The food is so fresh and tasty. Service was perfect. Love the outdoor seating. Couldn’t stop thinking about the butter krab roll.

My fiancé and I came here while we were visiting Miami and it was delicious. Super high quality sushi rolls! Would definitely go back.

Everything was so delicious and enjoyable we came back the next day for dinner! Just be forewarned it gets quiet expensive as the portions are small. They do mention it is tapas which makes it expensive for tapas. The service was great, and the presentation was beautiful.

Best nikkei style sushi I've had.
My first visit was 4,5 years ago, it was just as great last week.
This place offers flavour bombs with great layering, the combination of different flavours is fun, tasty, romantic and energetic. The only thing I wish there was less of was the use of truffle oil on quite a few rolls. I once ordered the big-eye tuna on crispy rice and they forgot to put on the truffle oil, I loved it way more since a zesty freshness now had a chance to take the spotlight instead of the truffle.
Don't get me wrong I love truffle, there were a little too many rolls that used it and would've been better without it.

Couldn't recommend Pubbelly any more. I've sent friends from around the globe to enjoy and they all felt the same. This place gets Japanese fusion right, and that's a rare and beautiful thing.

Ps. the staff is very kind, honest and personal. Willing to take a few seconds to chat up. lovely.

The food was delicious. The service and ambiance was not, which is a bummer. I really wanted to love this place! The rock shrimp tempura was good but spicy! The butter krab roll was delicious! The Bug Eye Tuna roll was also very good. I would not recommend the soup. The server took a long time to come over even to greet us as well as other tables. She didn’t pay much attention to us which was frustrating because it was our first time visiting based on a friends recommendation.

Pubbelly is just a fantastic restaurant. You cannot go to Miami without eating here. It is so delicious and the food is unmatched. We hate how overpriced it is-- but nothing compares. Every meal at Pubbelly is amazing.

* WARNING: The "outside seating" reservation seems to be entirely meaningless. When we arrived we were told we could only be seated inside despite having an outside reservation. We were told their were several other parties with outside reservations who were ahead of us also waiting for outside tables they had *reserved*. Obviously with Covid, this is pretty much unacceptable.

Food was okay. A couple of pieces we had (black cod, soft shell crab bao and the edamame seasoning) were amazing. Others (big eye tuna roll and salmon roll and bok choy) were not very flavorful. The rolls tasted almost entirely of the rice without any kick and the bok choy, although it had a nice sauce, was nothing special and not presented in an easy-to-eat manner for chopsticks

Portions are painfully small for the prices. Table service was excellent, notwithstanding the problem with seating.

In short, this would be fine if the prices were cut in half and they respected the reservations. Otherwise, overhyped.
