Ask for Legend… he is amazing
TOO a many items offered on the menu NOT available.
Our first tine to Public Square, great ambience, service was impeccable, the manager visited our table ensuring we were satisfied.
The crab cakes and crevice was awesome, main course were also excellent, we’ll be back soon. Count as soon to be regulars
We’ve gone numerous times and the service has been good but never like last night. The food was fabulous and our waiter was great, manager even came by to make sure we were having a good experience. Highly recommend!
I loved the look of the restaurant - very chic. Good menu selection with sushi options
We’ve been here a couple of times and have spent a significant amount of money. We’ve never received a “welcome back!” Or any acknowledgment from staff we’ve seen before. Love going to restaurants that just make you feel like you’re part of the family. Not here. Even tried giving it another try yesterday and brought some friends and had to explain to the waiter “hey they’ve never been here before” to see if we can get at least some recommendations and some suggestions to favorite plates… any friendliness would of been nice. The waitstaff is dry and during our meal my friend asked to also get crab cakes and later he admitted he forgot to put in the order like no big deal. My ceviche bowl was chipped all around… plates were not cleared from the table.
Ambience is nice for a local venue. The sushi is not up to local japanese sushi restaurants or Publix. This isa place to go if you want to have a drink and socialize, not have nice meal.
We had a party of 4. A lot of the menu was not available. The service was "so so." The food was not that great even for a simple Cobb salad. The lobster was not as described. Can't recommend.
Pretty decor. Super loud though half empty. Ordered scotch never arrived. Fritters bland, sushi squishy and unrecognizable as sushi, tips okay, onion soup okay. Wedge salad okay. Hamburgers blah. Dishes not cleared. Dessert never arrived. Bill took forever. Table next to us sent back a very expensive steak and it took forever for them to get a new one.
Service was lousy, it took forever to get our order once placed. Once we received order food temperature was not hot and rare steak was over cooked. Ordered a lava cake with ice cream we got a shake for ice cream.
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and very over priced for the quality of food and service.
Went to dinner on Sunday night, they were out of a lot of their menu items. We had to settle but overall the food is pretty good.
The waiter was outright rude and disappeared most of the night. Drinks took 15-20 minutes to get both rounds. Ordered a bottle of wine and half hour later it came after I complained. The rib eye was almost raw in the middle. Chateaubriand Filet very average. They still tried to include an automatic 20% which I declined. Waiter and managers where totally unapologetic for the experience of our table of six. Would never go back there.
Great variety for all taste. Service outstanding and food quality
Fabulous. Will definitely come again .
The food and service were excellent! Our server, Gabriel was very attentive, as was the management team. All in all it was a great evening out.
extremely delicious food and great service. we will definitely be coming back
We had a great time!! Love the food
This was my second dinner at Public Square this week. The Filet Mignon Bites and Crabmeat Asparagus/Avocado salad were fabulous. My two companions had the salmon and said it was superb. Managers Piter (Peter?) and Kevin were helpful and friendly as usual. Server Hailey is a total gem. And the thursday evening live jazz trio were a joy to those of us who love top-quality progressive jazz.
Happy hour /early dinner with friends. Our server was Legend and he was fantastic.
Food was good, very noisy. Server Eric was very nice but seemingly overworked.
Food was good and service! But they were out of a lot of drinks which sucks.. overall it wasn’t bad
We have been twice since reopened after pandemics and both experiences have been amazing. Food it’s one of the best In the area and the service is prime!
Wonderful steak filet, after it was returned to kitchen and cooked medium rare the way I asked for it. Once they cooked it right it was great. You need more Tanqueray gin. My first cocktail finished your only bottle.
Positives: your two managers: Peter and Kevin are helpful and friendly, and intercede
where necessary. Servers Gabe, Hailey, and Helen are outstanding. And I noticed that
Francesca has returned to your staff. She's a delight.
I had gone for brunch which was wonderful. But dinner items were not fresh like the lobster tail. Also lobster bisque was not a bisque but more like a watery soup.
Best pork chop in town. Get it cooked medium. Outstanding salads and desserts.
Good drinks from the bar. Great live jazz on thursday night.
Manager Kevin and servers Haley, Helen, Gabe are all friendly and helpful.
If I’m going to spend as much as I did on dinner I would prefer to go to a traditional steakhouse where the food and service are always consistent. The noise level to begin with was outrageous in the restaurant and it was only half filled. Our server was super sweet but there was some thing just missing with all the staff there. They seem to be trying their best but lacked that professionalism. The food took quite a while to come out and when it did the burger and steak we ordered was at best warm. The mashed potatoes lacked any taste as did the mac & cheese.
We decided to order the milk bread which they claim to be a house specialty. The bread came out extremely stale and almost hard to bite into at certain pieces. It was definitely not freshly baked and was not worth the six dollars.
Overall, the taste of the food was not awful but we would not go back.
Legend the waiter offered quite possibly the best service I have ever had at restaurant. Do yourself a favor and only ask for him as your waiter.
Great local restaurant/bar. Servers are polite. Will be going back.
Legend (our waiter) was a Legend. Poke Bowl w/ quinoa was a great recommendation.
Was very disappointed with Public Square. We ordered sushi as an appetizer and we received our food first, which must have been sitting for a while because it was cold. The chicken and waffles was burnt and dry. The server asked if our app had come out and she mentioned the wrong one so we just decided to cancel. It was pretty slow for a Sunday brunch and I can see why. There were about 4 tables around us that were never bused the entire time we were there. Seems they may have been short staffed. At the end, the server gave us the check and automatically applied 22% tip, which was insulting considering the experience was terrible. I really wanted to like this restaurant but sadly will not be returning.
food was very good but service was not the best waiter did not ask if we need more drink i ask for coffee took long time to bring the refills for the american coffee.did not ask if evrethings was good or make any suggestion very poor costumer service and not thanks very disappointing with the service all do food was good and restaurant very recommended food
Nice place to relax and enjoy a meal with family and friends.
PS ran out of 2 brunch menu items, out of only 10 main dishes. Did not have any spoons.
Highly recommend this place service was great and the food as well
Don’t waste your time or money. This re-do of what used to be Shula’s 347 is a bust. The staff and management don’t really care... and it shows. From bad wine that was not properly stored and served at the wrong temperature to a bad attitude when we asked for a new glass, the service was as bad as we had ever received at any restaurant. The steak was served undercooked. When we asked them to please cook it more (because it was nearly raw inside), they grudgingly took it then returned it barely different. The waiter abandoned the table for 25 minutes at a time and then when the manager was finally brought to us he claimed to apologize and had a glass of wine replaced and said he would send over dessert. Not only was there never any dessert (or apology), but nothing was done or comped. When we had to flag down another waiter to get our check after 2 hours, nobody would take our credit card to pay. We had to take it to the hostess and ask her to get the manager. Which took another full 15 minutes of us standing at the hostess stand before he showed up. We just wanted our card back and wanted to leave. At this point we informed the manager we did not want anything from him other than to leave and not come back. As we were walking out he said he wanted to do something for us. We told him thanks but he just needs to know that there is a huge problem. We eat out all the time. For a better restaurant (entrees were $40-50 each, salad was $18) they need to at least apologize when one thing goes wrong. Everyone has a bad night but to have one thing after another and then treat a customer badly for bringing it to their attention is unforgivable. We will never eat here again even though it’s in our neighborhood and we were regulars at Shulas for years (same owners just new name).
Very disappointing. Food was quite mediocre. Two drinks, one appetizer and 1 shared dessert later, I'm down $75. Don't mind paying if its worthwhile. The noise level was deafening and made it hard to carry a simple conversation. I won't return.
Wanted to love the place. Decor is nice. Our waitress tried hard, however, they are short staffed on not the busiest if nights. Prices are way to high for quality.
Our waitress Liz was very attentive and gave amazing recommendations for daily specials . Dishes were culinary creations and not just the same ole dishes.
A Great find
Date with my wife, good service, food was good not great, ambience was great.
We requested a booth/table booth ahead of time and were not granted that. Along with this, while making the reservation I specified the occasion which was our anniversary. I do not expect anything done for us, but the least that could have been done was fulfilling our request for a booth.
