   Undoubtedly the best Sunday lunch we've had for a long time. Starter of Tartare, coarsely chopped, delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection, so juicy and flavoursome as were the trimmings apart from the carrots, which lacked flavour. Service and ambiance of the front of house staff made the experience even more enjoyable. We'll definitely visit again.

   The decor was amazing and the tables were adequately spaced. The food generally was good but the dishes were not what you would expect from an up market steak house. Generally the restaurant was great and I would go back again.

   The food at Pulperia was delicious. However, it took more than 2 hours to have Sunday lunch and dessert, waiting almost half an hour after ordering for both mains and dessert. The staff were very attentive but the food just took too long to come.

   Food and service were perfect. All the team were attentive, friendly and knowledgable regarding which steaks to choose. Each course was delicious & perfectly cooked. We would definitely recommend and hope to return for another special occasion.

   So we got there at 7pm, placed our order. Two people sat down next to us after about 20 mins. Their starters came before ours, we did complain and still waited ten minutes. We waited an hour in total before the starters came. We ordered the Marrow bone and the Gambas. To say we were disappointed when they eventually came is an understatement. Everything was over cooked to burnt the bone marrow was black and bitter the prawn had disintegrated in the shells. We did complain and Courtney our waitress was fabulous. She spoke to the chef and assured us the head chef would prepare our mains. We had the fillet steak. That was cooked beautifully. That came in a reasonable amount of time too. The desserts were good too. If it wasn’t for Courtney’s great service, we would have left after the starters. She pulled back the start to a very disappointing anniversary meal. We have eaten in Aktar Islams other restaurant Opheem. That was sublime. I have to admit I did expect better.

   Excellent meal. Fantastic chorizo starter and fillet steak. Attentive, lovely service and made unprompted extra effort to give us chocolate anniversary & birthday messages on desert plates.

    Unfortunately, the service was really poor on my visit. I had booked the table for my friends birthday and felt really guilty as I had been telling them his good the restaurant is. Not on this occasion, our table was covered by lots of different waitresses abd waiters, repeating our order/asking us for our drinks order. One waitress when serving our main placed the meals at the wrong places and as we went to change the plates over accused us of having changed our seat’s, which we hadn’t. Thankfully the food was nice but sadly everything else was a real disappointment. It seemed like the staff couldn’t wait to get home.

    Everything was great, only thing was service was a little slow. Starters came out very quick but then a long wait for the mains. Was worth it when they arrived though. A good experience.

    Food was served in a timely manor and was amazing, my only criticism was the table next to mine was very close and loud. The waiter had got confused with what was ordered….maybe a language barrier or the sheer noise. And then a female hostess decided to clean and spray the empty table next to us…not ideal, and then started talking to us whilst we was eating.

    Amazing food- midblowing alfajores after a divine hereford steak. Attentive service with knowledgable and consumate waiting staff. Well deserves it's michelin star. This restaurant has rather ruined normal steak for me and encouraged me to work harder, to earn more money, to come back sooner. Spellbindingly good.

    Arriving at the place was just like how I remembered before, pleasant and feeling rich once you walked in. I was thrilled to go there once again and feel the great ambiance just like before. Going inside and being greeted by the bright and lovely staff members around, and the decent spacing in the seating room. The only issue is the food was not what I expected. We got starters and mains also drinks and a fries as normal. The starters were shrimp and octopus, and me and my partner didn’t think we would have an issue, but it did not taste the same as it was back when we first ever tried it. My pulpo octopus was oily and slightly harder than last time, and my partners meal was not done to the standard as before. It was chewy and took a while to swallow down, aside from that the meal was fillets that were medium rare but it wasn’t what we expected as it was quite chewy and not as we had it last time when it was easy to cut and went down much better. They made a mistake in the kitchen and gave us a third fillet which was nice of them instead of throwing it away, and they did not charge us for it, of course being that we did order 3 fillets. In the end I enjoyed my meal being I was there with my special person, but I just wish for the occasion we were having the meal was better being that is it not a cheap place to eat at.

    Staff were lovely from the moment we walked in. Food was great, well prepared and presented. Some nice choices on the menu that you might not be offered elsewhere. Nice ambiance, bustling but not to distraction. Had a great evening!

    Attentive and professional services from Precious ( and a great sommelier) who took time to explain the menu and make us feel comfortable. Overall a great experience with beautifully cooked food and excellent wine. I recommend the octopus and fillet steak.

    The food was very good. There were some timing issues, eg our mains were brought out while we were still eating our starters so the wait staff pulled an extra table up to put our main course on. Also some timing issues with dessert. We did raise this at the time and the management made an acceptable adjustment to the bill. Sadly wasn’t the experience we had hoped for as are big fans of Opheem. This didn’t live up to it at all.

    Really enjoyable meal - lovely starters, I like the simple way they adapted one of the starters with GF bread - nice and easy no stress and reconfirmed it was Gf on arrival. Steaks all good and also Gluten Free Chips always a good thing. Lively wine as well on the pricey side but everyone enjoyed their meal

    Was really looking forward to having a meal here for the first time , I ordered finish prime rib my wife the ribeye My finish steak was 50% fat my wife’s ribeye even though medium rare was still tough Had a glass of crushed ice dropped all over me from a cocktail being removed from table which was cleaned up but at no point was I offered a complementary drink as an apology and when I paid the bill everything was charged even 10% service charge so not the best customer service

    Fantastic steak and lovely service from all the team, especially Jessica. Took time to remember my dietary requirements and was attentive to the point our glasses were never empty. Everyone who attended the table was polite and friendly, very excited to return. 5 stars. Top class.

    Extremely disappointed and the tremendous delay really spoilt our day. We have eaten here a few times and always found it to be a pleasant experience with good food (always on a Saturday evening). On this occasion we booked for a family birthday lunch on a Sunday at 1.30. We were asked, on arrival by the waitress who recognised us, if we were celebrating anything and we confirmed it was a birthday lunch. This clearly made no positive difference because we waited 2 hours for our main courses to arrive. People, who had been seated long after us, had their meals served to them and ate them before our meals arrived. When they did turn up, the steaks were not very flavoursome and the accompanying fries were also not up to standard. One of our party had the Sunday beef roast for which the beef was very nice, as was the Yorkshire pudding and gravy. The vegetables and the roast potatoes, in particular, were not good (the potatoes were not at all crispy, as if they had been waiting under a heat lamp for an extended period of time). I would like to think that this experience was just because they were under-staffed (although they had plenty of serving personnel) and will avoid lunch times in future!

    This was our second visit to Pulperia. The staff were very welcoming and our server, Precious was fantastic and very attentive. The food as usual was delicious! The meal was for me graduating a recent course I’d been studying and I was very kindly bought out a congratulations dessert. It was very thoughtful and a lovely touch. Thankyou again, we will be back soon!
