Pythouse Kitchen Garden
Delightful place and service. Menu fairly limited Though food delicious
A nice sunny day we were able to eat al fresco. Lovely ambience for relaxed lunch. The asparagus and burger were delicious
This place is gorgeous. Food is excellent as are the staff. A brilliant place to go for lunch or dinner especially on a sunny day
It was the most glorious lunch with the sunshine coming in from the beautiful gardens. I cannot wait to come back. The food was completely delicious. Thank you.
Rally good food , fresh , simple ( in the best possible way ) and really tasty .
I would suggest the loos be checked a bit more regularly & the chairs updated a bit .
We will be back x
Lovely place to eat. Although a little expensive the quality of the food was exceptional.
Staff a bit quick to clear the table, not checking that all had finished before scooping away the plates.
We will be back again.
A hidden gem with delightful staff and fine food. Well worth a trip.
We love Pythouse Kitchen Garden, it is our favourite restaurant. The restaurant is a lovely place to sit and eat either indoors or outside. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is very imaginative. The meals vary slightly in value but are always well presented and tasty. Definitely recommended.
Loved it and will certainly visit again especially with family and friends for lunch. Have not had an evening meal here yet.
excellent food and a good variety of cakes .there are always lots of people eating here which is a good sign that the food is different and enjoyable.
Delicious food and great service in a delightful setting. We would definitely like to return
Have been coming here for many years now and still love it. Waiting staff give just the right amount of attention and the menu is always different and interesting. The food was delicious and very varied. Take note it is a good idea to book a table as it is very popular. You can see much of the menu ingredients actually growing in the wonderful walled garden.
I’ve seen signs to the garden for years but never visited before...if only I’d known what I was missing. Lovely venue, superb food and great service...all so close to home (for us at least!) What’s not to like?
We Love it all - one problem,,,rather uncomfortable outside seating
Lovely setting but let down by slow service. My daughter ordered a Mojito from the drinks menu, after 5 mins a waiter came back telling her sorry but we don't have any? Do they not know how to make a Mojito? She then said she would opt for a gin & lemonade only to be told again, sorry but we've had a busy weekend, we don't have any lemonade! What sort of a place is this? How difficult is it to go & buy lemonade for Monday lunchtime if you run out on a weekend? Also had a half hour wait between food courses.
All in all, nice place but they need to get their act together.
Lovely place to come to. Especially yesterday as it was a beautiful day. Been a few times now, and never let down. Always welcoming.
This restaurant/garden is very well run and is an unusual place to eat. The food is expensive but excitingly different and suitable for all tastes. I nearly always choose to take people here for lunch and a walk round the garden to see its development.
A warm welcome, and attentive service. The food was fresh and imaginative with good sized portions.
The cocktails were good if a little expensive for the non alcoholic version.
Wonderful surroundings to be enjoyed if the weather had been better.
We will certainly go back.
A very pleasant seating area; the service was prompt and attentive; the food was interesting and unusual but tasty and obviously made with fresh ingredients from the kitchen garden. We were especially impressed with the tenderness of the lamb and pulled pork. It was pleasant to walk around the garden after our meal. The only draw back especially if it's raining is that the toilets are outside and there are only two so that when the restaurant is busy you have to queue.
Delightful setting. Good food with excellent provenance. Would like to see lots of your own vegetables on the plate as well. Thoroughly recommended
Original and high quality food..fresh and deliciously seasoned with freshly picked herbs.
Friendly and hyper efficient service.
A meal to savour and remember.
Outstandingly good food with something for everyone. My friend raved about the cauliflower soup and I loved my two veg-based starters. Rosemary chips provided the naughty but delicious element. Pythouse Kitchen Garden restaurant is a unique venue, relaxed, fabulous setting and a friendly atmosphere.
A very nice lunch in very pleasant surroundings. Service was good and the menu had a few different dishes available. The cod starter was lovely as was the ham terrine even if they weren't huge portions. The mains were also lovely and the dessert was tasty.
food is really fresh much of which is grown in the kitchen garden where you can walk around and see for yourself. lots of lovely herbs to enhance and flavour.
Great place with fantastic staff. Would highly recommend
Delightful garden based restaurant, lovely staff, great food. Definitely worth a visit in this area of Wiltshire.
Disappointing! Overrated and overpriced. Did not live up to our expectations.
Disabled toilet uncomfortably far but I guess doable if eating in the green house or was it the conservatory ?
I have been to Pythouse a few times before, the food as ever, was so fresh and yummy however we had to wait over a hour to get our lunch. The restaurant was very busy and the staff kept us informed about the delay but it was rather too long
The food was fresh and interesting flavours, each veg very well cooked. Slightly over meaty menu, so vegetarians were a little limited in choice. The service, though charming was really slow and hard to access and rather forgetful.
Puddings were especially delicious.
We had a very good overall experience for Easter with a large group! Fantastic setting and good service matched by great food and atmosphere. Keep up the good work and we will all keep coming back.
Everything was lovely as always, food always good and a delightful atmosphere. Only downside was there were two menus running and as a table of 4 we could only choose from one menu which was rather disappointing as we would’ve liked to have picked from both menus. Otherwise great and would definitely recommend
This is such a great place to eat, super sunday lunch and great staff. It’s one of our favourite places
Lovely breakfast, excellent food, highly recommended but make your you book !
Excellent Afternoon Tea for my friends Birthday
Thoroughly enjoyed by both of us!
I am booking again for next month.
Outstanding! I’ve been coming here for years and always celebrate an annual event here with friends. This was our best experience of them all.
The food was delicious- perfectly cooked fish, delicate soup with inventive additions and every dish was superbly presented. A creative alchemy of Superb quality local ingredients that won unanimous appreciation.
If you want charismatic and authentic decor (rural wabisabi), scrumptious food and charming staff, look no further. Take your time, enjoy the gardens, art work and log burner or sunny conservatory, and savour exquisite food cooked to order with panache.
I always forgot what a good place this is for lunch and am always amazed at how busy it is when it is in the middle of nowhere really!
Excellent meal with very good recommended wine. Very friendly and efficient young staff. Beautiful surroundings.
From our arrival to our leaving we had a very enjoyable time in a lovely relaxed atmosphere with
very warm attentive staff who looked after us without being intrusive.
The food was really wholesome & very tasty it was a joy to spend our anniversary in such
a friendly informal location.
My only small negative is my personal dislike of the outdated use of service charges surely to
add this to a meal & drinks priced at around £90 takes the edge off what was a marvellous evening.
Thanks to all who made it such a great night.

Portion sizes v small. Rhubarb mouse dessert was dissapointing . I don’t think we had a mouse at all. It was just stewed rhubarb and a large quenelle of cream
