Pythouse Kitchen Garden
Well worth the effort
Brilliant Sunday lunch
Can’t wait to go back in the summer
A totally wonderful place to sit and have Sunday lunch, or any other occasion for that matter , amongst friends .Really delightful and we must support this wonderful restaurant/venue going forward. Wishing them luck in these difficult times. We’ll be back !
This place is an absolute gem! Only marked low on the ambiance as it was quiet when we went - fantastic food - lovely place!
We went for the movie night and I must say I have never had ‘cinema food’ quite like it. Absolutely stunning food done as an haute cuisine play on typical hotdogs and chicken wings etc. The popcorn and nachos were incredible, both given a special garden twist and the rhubarb ripple ice cream was bang on. Highly recommend you visit this gem of a restaurant especially for one of their unique event nights. Can’t wait to go back.
Excellent and interesting meal and ambiance. Would definitely go again
Great food, lovely atmosphere, helpful staff!
Fantastic in every respect. Food is foremost, fresh, seasonal and exquisitely cooked. Add decor, ambience and superb and relaxed service and you can imagine Pythouse. Try it, it’s awesome
Our 4 th lovely Sunday lunch 🍴 very tasty 😋 and homely ! A perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday 👍
We had Sunday lunch at Pythouse Kitchen Garden on Sunday 1st March. Everything about the experience was perfect! The food was outstandingly good and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. We were extremely comfortable and cosy by the log burner in the artistically rustic surroundings. All just gorgeous!
We had a lovely evening with excellent service and delicious food. My only criticism would be that it was a cold night and the the room, which is a conservatory, was a bit chilly.
We love going here for a Sunday lunch and this was a belated valentines treat. The food is so tasty and never disappoints especially the roast pork. Our little girl is very welcome too in the relaxed atmosphere. Service was only marked a 3 as we were forgotten for a while but the staff are lovely.
Amazing venue, lovely food - 4/6 dishes were amazing, venison carpaccio lacked acidity and meat was too thick. Chocolate fondant was perfectly baked but a little bland. Service was very slick although it felt a little rushed. The ambiance makes up for these minor failings. Considering we didn’t drink much it was over £100 for two people but worth it for a special occasion.
Lovely food enjoyed by all of us. The staff were helpful without being obtrusive.
We’ve never had a bad experience at Pythouse
Very nice lunch experience. Main course was imaginative, tasty and interesting.
The people made the experience: warm friendly and very efficient. Would be nice to see the garden someone but Storm Dennis got in the way. We went early. It didn't get busy until nearly 1pm when it filled right up
Will go again.
Wonderful meal, as always. A magical restaurant with lovely seasonal food. The service is so good. We have been to Pythouse on numerous occasions and never been let down. It is always a treat to visit Pythouse both for the food snd the ambience. If you haven't been here before, a visit is a must. The garden looks wonderful throughout the year and it is so good to eat the produce from that garden. I highly recommend this place.
By the way...if you are getting married soon have your reception here....we did, and it was fabulous!
Food good and initially service good but as the place filled the service got slower to the extent we waited for over 30 mins for our dessert. Disappointing as everything else lived up to or exceeded expectations.
Best veggie roast I’ve had in a very long time! Thank you!
We love Pythouse! Such a great setting and atmosphere followed by delicious food.
As charming as ever. One of my favorite spots in the Nadder Valley.
One of my favourite places! The food and service is always fabulous and the space is beautiful!!
Scrumptious & Delicious. A Must Visit.
The location is wonderful even on a wet February Sunday. The restaurant is quirky, warm and welcoming. The staff were attentive and friendly. We had a scrumptious lunch followed by a delicious dessert. Highly recommend the Chicken roast, Black Bean Chilli, Panna Cotta Rhubarb, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. They also use bottled coke cola and not coke from the tap. When you drink a beautiful rum you don’t want tap coke as it’s mixer.!! That’s a sin! There is also a variety of teas and coffee for sale to take home.
Highly recommend a visit but book. Enjoy.
Another superb Sunday lunch
Really good food and a beautiful environment and atmosphere. Very attentive and friendly service from everyone. Thankyou for making my daughters birthday meal so special.
Fabulous food, lovely staff and perfect setting.
We have been many times and are never disappointed. The food just gets better.
Perfect place to celebrate our parents wedding anniversary
As stated above excellent in every way as per usual.
May I make a suggestion that the parking area needs a bit of attention as the puddles seem to be getting deeper , not necessarily for me but for the ladies!!
a perfect atmosphere for a thoroughly enjoyable Saturday lunch with great service as always!
We visited for plunder the pantry. Great value as we took our own wine. The food and service was excellent. Really a lovely dining experience in magical surroundings .
Took my friend for a birthday breakfast all super lovely and fresh and a toasty warm fire
Lovely quirky place. Shabby chic but tastefully done. Nicely spaced tables and relaxed feel. Lovely roast chicken and bread sauce.
Beautiful restaurant, incredibly attentive and friendly staff. The food was also delicious- would visit again if in the area for sure!
We went for the music by candlelight night, and the food was great, and the music even better.
A warm and cosy atmosphere. Stephen gave a ya warm welcome, took us to our table and took drink orders promptly.
He went through the dietary notes we advised of on booking and the alternative was great.
Fantastic food and service. I like that the fresh produce is mainly procured from the extensive garden.
This evening made such a refreshing change for just dining out.
We will be watching for the next event. Highly recommend a visit here.
The evening was delightful. The entertainment was top notch and perfectly spaced before each course. A most enjoyable and relaxing evening thank you.
Lovely breakfast in wonderful peaceful setting.
The place is beautiful. A real gem in the middle of beautiful villages. It was a miserable day but it was cosy , the food was bloomin gorgeous, best mussels I’ve had for years. Everything was on point. I’ll definitely be going back in the summer for the pytfire BBQ.
Lovely Sunday lunch as usual
Terrific food and a lovely relaxed ambience. The staff were extremely attentive without being too noticeable. We had Pork and Beef mains and then followed up with Cheese to finish, all were absolutely beautiful. We would heartily recommend the Pythouse to anyone.
Was so nice to read such an unusual menu where everything sounded so delicious and indeed our food was delicious! Great location and ambiance - will be back when we next have a special occasion
Excellent - just wish it was closer! we'll still return
As welcoming and relaxing as ever. Stunning local produce - I love being able see where the food that I am enjoying is grown. Beautiful cooking.
