Quality Meats
The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

Great steak, incredible appetizers
Amazing food and great atmosphere! Our waiter Jeff was super suggesting certain dishes. We will return!
Fantastic food. Service good but not great. Prompt seating with reservation. I will be back!
Very cold and very drafty.
Wonderful staff, attentive, always around. Knew the menu inside out. Food was great. Well worth price of admission. New seasonal specials on wine and food both exceptional.
Greta everything. Not sure why inhabit been there sooner.
We came here to celebrate my father's birthday, and he couldn't be happier with the food, wine, service, and the place in general. Benjamin took care of us and his attention was remarkable.
Wow, thank you so much, Cecilia! We really appreciate your detailed feedback. Looking forward to having you back soon!
Very good menu with a nice variety of fine meats to choose from. For appetizer, try the thick bacon with jalapeño and peanut butter… excellent. All food was prepared well. My only complaint: it's an unwritten rule of good restaurants not to bring the main course until the appetizer has been finished and dishes cleared, and this did not happen. Steak came when I was still enjoying my appetizer, a "no-no" for a restaurant of this caliber. But... it's not a perfect world. I will be back- food and drinks were excellent.
The steak was awesome. We had the porterhouse steak for two. It was so succulent and juicy just aged to perfection
Thank you! We hope to see you again soon!
Great experience. Waiter attentive and made great suggestions for food choices. Steak was exceptional. Pretty place with relaxing lighting. Music could have been more thoughtful.
That’s fantastic, Walter! We are grateful for your kind words and we can’t wait to share this with the rest of our team.
Fourth visit. Steak wasn't cooked right. Was taken back, but still rare in the middle the second time. Asked for medium. They took it back, and gave me a new one, cooked perfectly. Did not charge me for it. That wasn't necessary, but I was grateful.
Still my favorite steakhouse in NYC.
My family’s last night in NYC, and I had read about this steakhouse while building up high expectations. We shared a tomahawk and a porterhouse for two with a few sides. Meat was very good and cooked perfectly. Sides were quite yummy, esp the broc/cheese bites and creamy spinach. Wood love to go back.
That’s fantastic, Ted! We are grateful for your kind words and we can’t wait to share this with the rest of our team. Looking forward to your next visit.
Quality was so delicious. My husband and I celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary at Quality Meats. We were treated so well. We had a wonderful night. Thank you Quality Meats for a wonderful evening.
Thank you so much, Tara! We appreciate you choosing us to for this for your special occasion. Glad to hear you & your husband had a great night!
Nice, too crowded
Much improved over last time. Great service and the Ribsteak is amazing. Tried the Corn Creme Brulee for the first time and that will now be a regular selection.
Sometimes even on a big, bustling holiday where half of New York does anything but stay in, cook, and eat turkey (and that even includes the tourists who come to town during Thanksgiving), you want nothing more than someone to do the preparing, the cooking and the cleaning-up....leaving you to just enjoy an incredible steak, even better sides, terrific appetizers and outstanding desserts. Quality Meats right off Sixth Avenue and 58th Street, a hop, skip and jump from Quality Italian provided us a very memorable Thanksgiving with extraordinary steaks along with the famous Quality Potato, corn creme brulee (died and went to heaven eating this dish!), and gnocchi and cheese that quite literally melts in your mouth. And there is no way to even describe how delicious and decadent Sticky Toffee Pudding was and always is. A great night and a great steakhouse on a great holiday with wait staff like JC making it a night to remember for many Thanksgivings to come! Bravo to everyone at QM for a job exceedingly well done.
Thank you so much! We loved hearing what a great experience you had with us. Come visit us anytime!
Not a fan. Service was subpar. Food was meh. Will not repeat.
Always great!
Love coming to quality meats, it almost never disappoints. But this time it did :( my husband and I came to celebrate thanksgiving here and were seated right outside the kitchen door, which was really busy. Also, our waiter didn’t really give us anytime to ask questions. We waited maybe 20 min for someone to come to the table. Our server seemed to have two 6 top tables he was more helpful with. When he came to finally take our food order after 20 minutes. As we tried to ask him questions he didn’t really care to hear what we had to say and abruptly cut us off, we were trying to get mashed potatoes instead of sweet potatoes. As my husband was asking for the Option to switch he cut him off and said “all the sides come with the meal So you don’t really need to add anything” as he proceeds to collect the menus. Before he walked if we asked if we could order 2 quality mules, he nodded and walked off. A couple of moments later our turkey and steak meals arrived (2 thin slices of turkey, a couple of over cooked carrots and runny sweet potatoes for $42? Steak was delicious though) never to see him again. Never asked if we wanted another drink or if everything was ok. Finally after we finished the meal we sat with stacked empty plates in front of us for 20 minutes before a different server came over to refill our waters , remove the plates and dropped our check off. We felt rushed and ignore. He was more worried about his bigger tables that he neglected is. I usually love this place but this was a terrible place to celebrate a holiday with my loved one.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Kris. This definitely doesn’t sound like a good evening. On behalf of our team, I apologize for dropping the ball in this manner. This is not within our standards of service nor a good reflection of our brand. I would like to get in contact with you to learn more about your experience as well as how we can make it better. If you would, please reach out to me directly at joliver@qualitybranded. I look forward to hearing from you.
We came to Quality Meats today for Thanksgiving. We were seated at a nice table upstairs in a corner which we discovered was freezing. We asked to have the A/C redirected or warmed up but it was never adjusted. Imagine paying these prices and freezing through the entire meal. The food was subpar at best. My son who has dairy allergies had a very limited choice as almost everything contained butter. The sides the said they were grilled or roasted come dripping in oil. Roasted mushrooms came dripping in oil and some type of sauce and our waiter never said a word. Roasted potatoes came smothered in bacon but we were again never told. We sent the sirloin steak back twice as it was not the quality you would expect. The ridge wine came at almost room temperature. Overall very very disappointing except for the deserts which were excellent. We will not be back as there are many other high quality steak houses in the city which won’t disappoint us.
It was a very good meal and lovely ambience though towards the end of the meal the lights were turned down too low.
Thanksgiving
We live in the neighborhood and have been coming to QM for the past few years. We have always found the food and service exemplary . We have never had a bad meal here. Always recommend QM to family & friends. Thank you for making the midtown west restaurant scene better.
Chris, thanks so much for the kind words! Looking forward to having you back soon!
Great place, visited with my family during Thanksgiving. Highly recommended to everyone
Fantastic food and service!!
Outstanding service and food. The cold lobster appetizer was fresh and delicious. I had a bone on filet cooked to perfection. Will he back!
Very overpriced! Slow service!
We went to Quality Meats to celebrate our nephew’s new job. It was nice place for celebration. We enjoyed delicious steaks.
We ordered MANY items and then shared them around the table. The Green Goddess Salad was delicious.
The Foie Gras was sumptuous. The bacon appetizer as salty and peanutty. And the ribs were crunchy and perfectly cooked. We started with Oysters. It was a great meal!
The filet mignon was very dry
Food and service were great! Celebrated an anniversary there on Sunday and our servers were excellent. The food are priced reasonably. The only thing that could be improved was the bartending service.
It was all of our first time at the resto and the bartender that we had was a little cold. We had asked about the “smoked” cocktails and the bartender did not seem too interested in giving us details about it. We still ordered the “smoked gimlets” and it was great drinks, it just would be nice to be to have a warmer service considering the cocktails are a little pricier.
Not bad but expected better. Both steaks ordered rare came medium rare - expect this at non steak place but not here. Salad was excellent.
Great as soon as you walk in the door.
Thank you again for the hospitality!
See you soon!

Very disappointed. Appetizers - scallops and crab cake were very good. Service was fine but not outstanding. Cool vibe overall. Shocking that a New York City Steakhouse runs out on a Friday and does not restock for Saturday, Woodford Reserve Bourbon. Such a basic thing. Liquor stores are nearby. Sides were nothing special but fine. Filet ordered medium rare came out cooked fine but had clearly been sitting as it was cold. The 18oz ribeye was seasoned, and over seasoned after cooking. I crunched salt grains multiple times. It reminded me of a lesser quality cut I would expect to find at a truck stop. House made steak sauce was more akin to a sweet red gravey served at some Italian restaurants. Buyer beware!
They gave us a decorated dessert for our anniversary nice detal
Thank you! Glad to hear we could make your anniversary special!
good, great, excellent... exactly what we were hoping for to show off nyc to a few out of towners
I ordered the rib steak which was very small compared to prior experiences. My wife's veal chop was ordered medium well and came out completely rare. They brought it back out and the sides it came with were completely cold 15 minutes later. Service was slow at best. A real disappointment overall. Could not even find the server to ask for the bill Manager had to bring it to us. Fortunately he was readily available as the table next to us was complaining about the steak as well.
Loved it! What a hidden gem. Now I can’t wait to try Quality Italian!!
That's awesome to hear! Hope to see you again soon...and you love Quality Italian too!
Service and desserts were great, steak was prepared totally off temperature , not even close . We come to a steak house for steak
