   Had an amazing time at this restaurant. Best 3 courses I ever had. Best part is food was free for the kids. Will definitely be back.

   Food was okay just not great. My starter of harissa hummus was over salted and came with far too much flatbread. The accompanying stuffed peppers were straight out a tub from the supermarket. Mains were better but portions again too big. Service was fine though we had about four different people. The saving grace is the dining room is really nice and bright.

   Stayed at hotel 2 nights ate in out last nyt and it was amazing food was delish 😋 we had drinks in the bar also over the 2 days and can’t fault anything . We will definitely be retuning .

   Service very good, but let down by poor cookery. Josper or not, chicken breast was over done and dry, whilst sumac lamb was under done and chewy. Won’t be patronising again!

   We had lunch which was very pleasant. Service a little slow but food was presented well and tasted very good. Had a mojito which was also very good. We expected to sit in the restaurant but was seated in the lower tables outside the restaurant. All in all a nice experience offering a level of quality that is lacking elsewhere in Dundee..

    Although not on the menu, the kitchen was happy to make a Caesar salad for me and it was delicious! Too hot outside for anything else really. Looking forward to returning to the Apex next month - excellent value for money.

    Chose to eat here as have been previously and stayed in hotel too. We were coming from Aberdeenshire and my daughter and her friend driving from Glasgow. The food was good but that’s the only positive thing. Advised on arrival that they would need table back by 2pm as there was a wedding on. I was quite happy with that. However service was shocking. Had to repeatedly ask for things, more drinks, dessert menu. Waited 15 minutes to have tea/ coffee order taken. In the end I went and asked but was told by a very rude girl with blonde hair that there wasn’t much time as needed the table back by 2, this was 1.40pm. I politely pointed out that we had been waiting for 15 minutes and nobody came near us. I was informed very rudely that there was a wedding and they were busy. Should add the man behind the bar wasn’t busy!! Why then take lunch bookings??? The good to that took our payment at till did apologise. We paid and went elsewhere for our coffee. Will we be back ? Definitely not!!

    We had a really lovely night with family in Quayside Restaurant. Fantastic cocktails to start (highly recommend the mojito). My husband and daughter shared the tomahawk steak and raved about how good it was and my other daughter (who only ever eats hamburger when out) had “the best hamburger she had ever had! I was a little disappointed with my salmon supreme - it would have been nicer with some sort of sauce but that is maybe just my taste as everything was beautifully cooked. Overall though a fantastic meal in relaxed, pleasant surroundings. Highly recommend.

    My first time dining at this restaurant. My overall experience was good, food service, waiters. My only gripe is that after our meal when we asked for the bill the waitress never came back with it. So after waiting for like 30 mins or we got up and went to reception to pay and wasn’t sure who to tip because 3 different people served us

    Lovely mid-week lunch with my Dad. Restaurant very very quiet but food and service v.g, easy parking, lovely place to lunch and chat without noise or distraction. Great location. Lovely well-trained waitress.

    The food was OK, steak was delicious but chips couldve been better. Waited a full hour for our food! When asked we were told it was because they had a large party at another table. That's not acceptable, don't take the booking if you can't cope. Place wasn't overly busy. Table next to us came in at 1930hrs and got served the same order just after us. Nice place but service too slow.

    Went for high tea party of 6 the main meals were basic, steak pie was very small & very dry, cakes weren’t great there were only sponge cakes or cheesecakes no offer of cream or ice cream

    We had a nice meal overall everyone enjoyed the food although 2 of our party had steak pie and said meat was a little tough and grizzly. Toast was very pale could have done with a bit longer however we enjoyed our time there. The staff couldn’t do enough for us they were excellent.

    Very friendly and helpful staff, good atmosphere and comfortable venue. The food was as promised. My father in law had some chips spilt on him it wasn't handled well, but it wasn't Emma she was lovely. A port, or madeira or dessert wine would have been nice to have with the final course but there was none, oh well.

    Lunch meeting and seated in an informal table setting that wasn’t really comfortable to eat, we asked to move and were told restaurant tables were for breakfast and dinner but they agreed to move us. Service was slow as there weren’t many staff members around, however they were pleasant. Food was good on the whole, although my tuna sandwich was a bit odd with a relish that didn’t seem to suit the filling. No offer of coffees or dessert, we had to attract attention and ask. It’s a lovely setting but still some work to do I believe.

    Decided to give the restaurant at the Apex a try as haven't been here for ages. Pleasantly surprised by the decor in the restaurant. Our waiter was excellent. Food choices pretty good and the meal was good. The experience was marred by the extreme noise from an element in the bar area. To say it was lively is incorrect. It was obnoxious behaviour and there seemed no attempt to move them or quieten them down. Would try again mid week in the hope of a quieter experience.

    Marinated chicken suggests it’s marinated in a something but it wasn’t the case. Description was poor Ask for no mushroom as partner was allergic and still came out with a mushroom No break down for what’s in the sundae . Full of cream which was not stated . Planned to share but I have allergies towards some dairy products ie cream
