This restaurant was absolutely fabulous. When compared to another big dining experience in the area (Skylon) it is steps above in all aspects.
Great location to enjoy fine food and Niagara Falls
We enjoyed our dinner very much. We were seated pretty quickly and had a wonderful view of the falls. Service and food were very good.
A visit to the falls! Great views and service! Yummy food too!
Food and service were ok.
Fantastic views of the Falls. Outdoor terrace restaurant, covered by awening, offered Very good service. Food was just fine, but you mostly go there for the fabulous views of the Falls.
Great view and dinner. Our server - Devon was a pleasure!
Nice view on Niagara Falls and the service is good. Little bit pricey but the food is good.
Food was very mediocre and poor as it relates to the price paid. The server was not attentive and just zoned out during most of the time she waited on our table. The restaurant needs a thorough cleaning.
Excellent food and service. Always a great place to dine
I would STRONGLY suggest NOT patronizing this remarkably unattractive (the exterior is pretty; the interior looks like the outdoor deck of a neighborhood bar) and overpriced restaurant.
1) The furniture is of a common patio plastic variety, and well-used at that. 2) We were not offered a wine list so had no idea there were wine flights or, in fact, any types of drink offerings. And, as an aside, an extremely poor selection of top shelf alcohol. No Bombay gin. 3) Portions of our food were cold. Not warm, not room temperature, but cold. Every vegetable on everyone's plate that I could see was standard broccoli and carrots...clearly all they offered and hardly the locally-sourced selection they advertise unless all Canada grows are broccoli and carrots. 4) Children were all around us playing between tables despite it being 7:30 in the evening. 5) Food arrived so quickly that there was barely time to take a breath between the salad and entree or the entree and dessert. 6) The restaurant's advertising reflects an upscale setting and atmosphere, but nearly all patrons were in tee-shirts, shorts and flip flops.
This is a high-priced, over-valued tourist trap where the food arrives too quickly in an obvious attempt to shuffle people I and out as quickly as possible, and I should have heeded the ample number of other negative reviews I found online. This quality of food could be found at Applebee's or TGI Fridays for half the price. The two redemptive qualities were the view of the falls and the live band playing next door in the park, both of which were out of the restaurants purvey in any event.
Awesome short ribs. Beautiful location. Good music.
My husband and I came here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary with a good meal. We were sat against the railing facing the falls which was nice. Not that it was the restaurants fault but the mist from the falls and the wind made it really unpleasant to sit there. They had a man playing guitar and singing which was not only awful but so loud I was miserable my whole dining experience. We ordered an appetizer which was OK and then we order a steak and salmon for dinner. My husband wanted his steak medium rare... It came well done and practically burnt, not just chard. My salmon was cold and honestly it was not at all worth what we paid for it. We did asked to move because we were so sick of listening to the guy singing so loudly but right when I asked to move he took a break. We did complain about our steak, our waitress have a manager take it off our bill and the manager did come touch base with us. Which I did appreciate but I would truly never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is overpriced and the atmosphere was not pleasant.
Great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great!!!!! BBB bb. Bbbbbbbbb b.
The view of the falls is exquisite! The food is good.
Nice place with positive personnel.
Food was rather home style, good and tasty but nothing special. The noise level was just terrible (not the restaurant's fault though) because the rock band on the stage had some sort of a challenge with the indian singer who apparently had a concert.
The food was not very good and the prices were very high. You do have a lovely view of the falls and it gives you a break from the crowds. But given the description of the food and the prices you would think you were sitting down to fine dining and it tasted more like a low end chain restaurant.
Great view, awesome service! Would definitely go again.
Table x 4. 1 ordered 3 course set menu. 3 didn't order starter but some bread instead, so all 4 ate together. Half way through starter, waitress brought out 4 mains and was going to leave 1 main to get cold on table. Starter then became rushed, mains was sent back to be kept warm. When mentioned to waitress she said kitchen just sends out food when ready. Good restaurants would manage this better. Disappointed to be rushed on a special meal, overlooking falls, with fireworks that had been planned for months. Food good, loud music on stage outside too heavy and ruined ambience of thr falls. Quite expensive.
We had a great view of both the US and Canadian falls. My wife and I both had the lamb which was over the top good. I would recommend to everyone.
We had five side ceasers to start. Only 2 had a lemon and some had major kale and some had none and some had a good mix. My daughter and I both did not get the sides we ordered correctly. They did bring them out after but it was not the same and a waste of food. All of our meals were not very good at all, except I did enjoy my steak. The bills were a pure shock when they came to the table after the food we ate! Even the brownie was not your typical brownie; it was like fudge!!! We thought we would try dessert, but we should’ve decided not to based on the experience of our meal. We will NOT go back!
Only issue was having to carry my stroller up and down the stairs, need to provide assistance for those with small children!
The atmosphere was nice, excellent view, delicious food. My family and i had a great time! There are plenty of options on a menue, but I wish you had gluten-free options yo acomódate people with allergies.
I bought my daughter and her friend to the restaurant, and booked a table for 3 at 6:00pm and we arrived the restaurant at 5:55pm, just wait for a couple minutes the waitress bought us in to the table but the table is not beside the fence in which can see the Falls better. But I think I booked the table couple weeks ago, and they should reserve a better view table for us but not. Okay, then we have the table in the middle that we don't really want. After sitting down for a while, I realized that some tables beside the fence are going to check out. And I ask the waitress whether we can move over to that table since we have not ordered anything yet. But she told me that I have to go back to the front entrance to wait again for the next table. I ask her why can we just move over instead of waiting outside again. She said cannot. Due to we do not want to go out again. we stayed back in the middle table.
We ordered two steaks and chicken, but since my girls are only 14 and I have to drive, we did not order any alcohol. So the face of the waitress turns a little dark when we said no alcohol. The steak is totally dry, burn and smell charcoal, but not medium rare at all. And this is the worst steak I ever tasted. The chicken is also dry and taste weird. Also, due to no alcohol, and we do not have any service and the waitress keep serving the table with wine and alcohol.
Actually, this is the second one for this restaurant, the first time was around 10 years ago. And I remember it was very good. But this time, it is total worst and very disappointed.
Such a lovely place to enjoy the Falls. We've been there 3 times over the past 25 years and it's still as charming, friendly, and delicious as ever.
The waitress was very nice and kind. Food is ok and price is ok for being in the tourist area. Great view of the water falls
Great place for outdoor dining and view of both falls
Book ahead with opentable and you’ll be seated right away.
7-23-19 Had a nice experience eating at this restaurant- beautiful views and the food was good. Then my husband was treated incredibly rudely just trying to to track down the nice sunglasses he left on our table there. At the end of the night we stopped back by there in hopes they had recovered them. When he walked in the first person he encountered was rude and told him nothing had been turned in without even checking with anyone. She seemed bothered that he was even there. He then saw the bus boy from our area and he approached him to ask if he’d see them and this young man said absolutely he had found the sunglasses and turned them in- he was able to describe them perfectly- even commenting on how nice they were. Then ensued about a 20 min effort on our part to try to get anyone (even someone who appeared to be a manager) to look around for these glasses. We were treated so poorly- like we were being ridiculous for even asking. REMEMBER...a bus boy had already admitted to turning them in! In the end the sunglasses disappeared after being turned in and the one person who could have smoothed it over was the rudest (a manager).
cookie cutter food with taste about what you would expect in a large catered event. Our server was not helpful or friendly. The view of the falls was beautiful, but I could have stood outside and enjoyed the view without paying the price for such inferior food.
I had been wanting to dine at this establishment for years. I had always wanted to have the amazing view of the Falls while dining and I am so glad that we did! From the moment we walked in the door (which we were a sight for sore eyes right after returning from the Horn-blower Cruise) to the moment we left, we were treated with the utmost respect and care. Graeme, our waiter, was phenomenal. He was attentive and polite and we never felt rushed. The food was delightful. I had the Niagara Salad, my daughter had the Bok Choy Noodle Bowl and my son had of course the dinosaur nuggets and fries off of the kids menu. We also enjoyed the Black Cherry gelato and creme brûlée for dessert. Everything was divine.
Great location. Great service. Food was barely ok
I have been going to Queen Victoria Place Restaurant for many years, it is my go to in Niagara Falls simply because of the beautiful view of Horseshoe Falls. The restaurant itself is completely overpriced and overrated. I hadn't been in many years and felt that the quality of food had really deteriorated.
Great view on the balcony and the food was delicious! You can tell the chef’s take pride in their menu.
Between three entrees and two appetizers, the soup and bread were good. Nothing else would make me want another bite, much less come back. The value should support the price. This did not.
Wine cool not cold
Didn’t regularly refill water
Food very ordinary. Could have done something better at home
We ate here for lunch and loved it so much that we booked it again for dinner! Easily the best view of the falls with the large dining space out on the patio. We also found the prices to be reasonable for the quality and portions!
The major reason to go to Queen Victoria Place Restaurant is for the view of the Falls. The food is average, although the service is professional and staff really want to make sure that you are happy with the meal. Wine options - such as choosing 4 x 2oz glasses to taste, or being able to choose a 6oz or 9oz glass were a real plus.
Overall mediocre food. View of falls is nice. Expected a more polished dining setting. Felt like sticky outdoor tables
Our server Donna was good! But that was it.. just good. She never asked us if we were celebrating anything, (which we were.. both our birthdays) and never asked if we were from out of town or locals. And when I tried making conversation with her, she never answered back.. she just kept talking about something else. Was almost like I was talking to a robot. I just wasn't wow'd. and for paying over $100 for a lunch in Niagara Falls.. I expect to be WOW'd.
