A casual all-day dining experience with global influences in London's Battersea Square, Queenswood is a neighbourhood restaurant and bar serving plates for sharing, light dishes and wholesome meals, best washed down with one of our cocktails or a great glass of wine.
Nice terrace. Food was average. Not a lot of people: we were the only customers on a Saturday night.
Brilliant Battersea local
food was really bad specially balls, they run out of bread
The service was appalling and rude. I have never experienced anything like it before.
Queenswood does a fantastic roast on a Sunday! The staff are really friendly.
I’ve been to Queenswood quite a few times now and always enjoy the food. However, having raved about it to my guests (who were having their first time there), there were a couple of things that let the evening down.
The mains were delicious but when we ordered our desserts, the waitress informed us that the apple crumble dessert came with Earl Grey sauce - that didn’t sound right so we questioned it and she corrected herself and said that it was infused with Earl Grey. However, we had already been put off by the thought of Earl Grey sauce. We went on to order the pineapple carpaccio with black coconut ice cream. However, when it arrived, there wasn’t any black coconut ice cream. The waitress went back to the kitchen to find out what had happened and informed us that the delivery had not been made. We should have been told this when we ordered. Finally, one of the party ordered green tea, but what she was served was not plain green tea, it had ginger and possibly other additions to it. Luckily, my friend can tolerate ginger. These are only minor issues, but I do think that the very least a restaurant can do is to make sure people get exactly what they order and, if there is any variation, it needs to be explained before the dish/drink is actually served so that they have a chance to decline.
It was my first visit to Queenswood and was hoping for something suitable for friends from out of town.
The decor, ambience pleased us all, casual but well laid out. The menu had some interesting options and we were all happy with our choices.
I'll definitely be back and would recommend it.
Good and service top class as always. Great location and ambiance was lovely too.
Service was very slow and had to keep coming back to check our orders. Food was good but small portion sizes. Cocktails were very nice and the place has a nice feel in a nice part of Battersea.
This was our favourite meal in a while here. The food seems to have improved mainly in terms of larger portion size and creativity. Loved the lamb. Perfection.
Next time would love more big salad options too.
We will back
The roast is the best roast I have had in London. The staff are always helpful and attentive.
The Queenswood really is a home form home.
Wonderful tasty food!
A wonderful neighbourhood reataurant here in bathersea. Our first evening meal but it was tasty, interesting choices and we all enjoyed the meals (fish curry was lovely). Great staff and a relaxed and simple environment that makes a Great venue for dinner with friend!
Delicious food and great service! Very good for veggie options, would definitely go back.
Only 5 tables had customers but service was poor. Online menu does not match actual menu, starter didn't arrive at all, advised there was no vanilla ice cream but dessert arrived with it, main course was very nice but far too small
I was warned about the poor service and didn’t believe it. That was an error.
The wine is expensive, yet ordinary. The staff take a rather “les affair” approach to taking your order, delivering food and manners in general. The food is extortionate and often doesn’t arrive at all, which is a curious phenomenon... potentially a symptom of the les affair order taking.
This is a shame as the food is actually really quite fresh and inventive. A slight criticism on; watermelon in a duck salad (when it arrived 20 mins after the rest of the food). Nice flavour but does leave the salad swimming in ...water. (Unsurprisingly).
Space is very nice here am I really wanted to go in and love it but the service was so poor that I really couldn’t enjoy the evening.. to top it off I was presented with a massive bill with a 15% service charge.
All in all not a great experience but I think with a few blatantly obvious tweaks this could be a great place.
Great restaurant. With great healthy food options. The food is lovely. Friendly staff
Very friendly and helpful staff. Tasty food and the ambiance was amazing.
Fantastic venue with amazing food and great service.
I booked a table for 4 of us and we couldn’t have been happier. The weekend menu choice was great with lots of variety. Staff were exceptionally accommodating and we didn’t feel rushed out after we’d finished our food which we all particularly liked.
The service was pretty slow, despite there being hardly anyone in the restaurant. Our starters came out after our mains and they did not bring us one starter but still included it on the bill.
Service charge was very high and not worth the service we received. Food had good flavour but was quite cold.
Wouldn't really recommend.
Consistently good - love the new fish curry
Always great on a sunday
We had a delicious meal from a small but interesting menu (a menu which you can sense everything is fresh). The staff were so charming and attentive and the ambiance just perfect.
This restaurant is consistently good, and I feel so lucky it is in my area. Highly recommended
I grew up (partially) in London, which taught me that neighborhood restaurants can be the best a city has to offer. Queenswood checks the boxes in that category. Enjoyed my meal deeply, and then moved to the bar for coffee and single malt, where I had a terrific ongoing conversation with the staff. Bonus round - women are represented well in the kitchen! Chef is a dude, the two line chefs on the night I dined there were women. Big ups on that. The roasted padron peppers were a stellar starter, and the ribeye with simple green salad was remarkable. The dressing on the salad was a gift.
An excellent local restaurant with lovely staff and a fabulous menu
Always great food, atmosphere and service at Queenswood, a local Battersea gem.
Love Queenswood. The food is delicious, the staff are great and it feels like being abroad!
Sadly we had to leave before eating. I like the location of Queenswood but this is the second time they mess up with food. I had left a note when booking to say that I am vegeterian and can I ensure they have a veggie option? As it was Sunday i knew they have sunday roast so as common sense would suggest this is what i meant in my pre reservation request. They ignored my comment and could only offer me a salad where they would replace the chicken with halloumi and their first question was ‘are you too hungry’? I failed to see the sarcasm at the time. May i suggest you call the person in advance to check what they mean since they bother to ask for something?
Service very slow. Left before our food arrived. Waited ages to eat menus and drink orders. Pity as we were looking forward to our breakfast .
It’s one of my favourite place in battersea
Although the restaurant is lovely, nothing seemed to go according to plan that evening. The menu list is vey short (which is normally never a problem, but this time only 3 things were available as the rest was sold out), they were out of lager and the food came in stages which meant me and my family could not share a meal together. The staff was very friendly, but should have informed us better during the evening - as now most of the time we were waiting instead of enjoying our evening. The food is great, so will definitely give it another try, and hopefully things will go more smooth.
We absolutely loved our visit to Queenswood. The food and coffee were delicious, staff members were friendly and professional and there was an awesome buzz as it got busier. Will definitely be back!!
We visit frequently and always have consistently good food, great service, pleasant atmosphere - so lucky to have this on our doorstep
We brought our parents in law and grandparents who don’t know London well. The staff were exceptional, incredibly chatty and friendly. The food was brilliant. We had to wait quite a while but it was worth it. Highly recommend the steak. My husband and I always come here when there is something to celebrate! Thank you queenswood.
The restaurant is in a lovely spot on Battersea Square not far from one of the loveliest spots on the Rive river so you can go for a walk and watch the sunset by St Mary's Church. Turner painted here.
Overall I would recommend the Queenswood. We were a party if 8 for Mother's Day late lunch.
The food was good particularly the roast dinners.
A few niggles on the service. It was a bit slow because I presume they'd had a busy day and our table was booked for 3pm. This could have been why the menu was a bit odd without any starters really other than hummus, and only one fish option. We went straight for the main course. When the order came one dish was wrong so that person had to wait longer for their main course.
The wine was good and reasonably priced and the desserts and cocktails - espresso Martini lovely.
When the bill came it still had the wrong main course on it - only £2 difference but we left 10% service didn't really feel that it was worth 12.5%. I think the restaurant has great potential and will go back again just a few bits to tidy up
Incredible. Enjoyed every minute of it. Thoroughly recommend this place. Extremely polite staff and the food was lovely.
Lovely little spot with great food and friendly hosts!
Great staff, great service, creative options in food. And the ambience of the place and the surrounding area are great!
2h to wait for the food
Nice ambience and the steak was really good. However we're a group of 7 people and they forgot to bring the order of one of the people in the group which was a bit disappointing. Overall it was nice. Cute and romantic place.
One of the chefs was off sick which caused our order to arrive nearly 45 minutes after we placed it. We were offered 15% off our food bill as a goodwill gesture but we were disappointed we only found out about the delay after already waiting for 40 minutes. Food was so-so and the brunch pancakes ran out before 1pm. Lovely decor and friendly staff, but I don't think we'll be back again.
Fantastic service and delicious food. Live the cocktail menu too. Great for date or night out with friends.
