Amazing food and great atmosphere.

Staff were friendly and polite.

Only, small, thing was I had to hail down a waiter to get another drink.

Quod was brilliant, thoroughly recommend and look forward to going again.

The food was great, although the menu seemed a little limited. The drinks were lovely, but very expensive.

There was a piano playing in the restaurant which was a great touch.

Look forward to going back soon!

The set lunch is good value and sounds appetising but the dishes are a bit disappointing. My Indian cod dish looked quite unattractive but also the cod was overcooked and it could have been anything. However, the ambience is airy and the staff are always incredibly pleasant when I have been there, including for Christmas lunch.

Sitting outside in a shaded area in the hot early evening sun was wonderful. Restaurant ambience was balanced by the eclectic diners and mix of ages
We loved the menu choices (and the specials), the attentive friendly service and prompt delivery of our courses - but without feeling we were being rushed. Very good value
The food was simply delicious. We both loved it. The only exception was ‘skin on’ fries - I loathe them!

7 OF US WENT TO CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY PLUS OUR SON FINISHING AT UNI.
THE STAFF WERE VERY ATTENTIVE & SERVICE WAS QUICK - A BIT TOO QUICK IN FACT AS WE GOT OUT POTS OF TEA BEFORE THE CHAMPAGNE!

FOOD WAS EXCELLENT & PLENTY OF IT. I LIKED THAT WE ALL HAD OUR OWN STAND - NO SQUABBLING!

Good menu & service plus wide choice of wines. Noisy atmosphere but not too oppressive. Large premises, plenty of staff. The booking system worked.

Whilst the service and the courtyard experience were outstanding, the food was distinctly average. The sea bass carpaccio was too thick and hadn't been dressed properly, the salmon fishcakes were dry and their spinach accompaniment was dripping in water. The salted caramel cheesecake was bland and only made average by the ice cream on the side. It was disappointing, given that previous visits have been enjoyable.

Food was excellent and served quickly once ordered, although portions are very large. Our waitress was very friendly, but towards the end of the meal, was obviously very busy and we had to grab another staff's attention to order dessert. Restaurant was loud but not uncomfortably so - it was just busy. Overall, a fantastic restaurant and experience.

Very reliable high quality restaurant to which to invite guests.
Prices are moderate, service is efficient, cuisine is varied with a range of daily specials, wine list is adequate for regular dining.
Prominent location on the High Street, extensive options on seating including outdoors.
My guests were delighted with their meals.

We really enjoyed the food - the lunch time set menu was excellent value for money.

The service was slow (main course not served until nearly an hour after arriving in the restaurant) but they were very busy.

We had requested a courtyard table in our open table booking - this request had not been followed through. (If they had told us we couldn't reserve places outside we might have chosen to arrive earlier to guarantee a space!)

The food was excellent; the noise from other tables rather excessive; (we were placed at a table close to the doors leading into the garden); the service was rather slow to take orders at first, but then subsequently just right.

Starter: Poor. Tartare salmon with pickled cucumber: Salmon was rather slimey; the tartare element was tartare sauce out of a jar. The cucumber wasn't pickled, it was fresh with vinegar over it (vinegar? I've forgotten).
Main course: liver - very good.
Dessert: rice pudding with poached peaches. Rice Ok but the peaches were barely poached: small pieces of peach just barely warmed, almost as fresh.
Front of house staff pleasant and efficient. Very few covers taken in restaurant for lunch that day.
Had terrible trouble with Opentable booking the evening before. On completing the reservation and clicking 'Book' or whatever, it said, 'Sorry, tech problem. Our tech staff are working on it.' Impossible to try again. Next morning, the system couldn't process the booking as it said no vacancies (events proved that not true). Gave up. Ten minutes later an email arrived confirming the previous night's booking!

Everyone was very happy with their food and despite being very busy the standard of service was high with just the right amount of attentiveness. The final bill was helpfully split without us having to specifically ask for this. The only minor criticism was that the monkfish special was rather swamped in its accompanying sauce.

There was a lively feel about Quod and it was quite noisey - we were placed in between two large, noisey tables which made conversation challenging. The waitress was kind and helpful. We ordered sandwiches to go round 5 people - the portion size was tiny and they cost almost £24. They were fresh and tasty though. The tea was lovely, but a pot of hot water as standard would have been appreciated. Lovely scone, and lovely crab.

The food is good.

As a bar, the champagne, white wine & red wine varieties are relatively limited

We brought our own wine, and requested for two decanters to decant the wines. The bar provided two decanters, however, No identification of which one is which. Just by memory.

The table is too small for 4 of us w the dishes and drinks all together.

We had to ask the waiter three times for our drinks and when they did arrive they were not correct. Bread, which we requested (and is chargeable) did not arrive until main course. Rib eye steak and chips of mediocre quality and not consistent with what I know this restaurant and Jeremy Mogford to be associated with. Perhaps a temporary blip but a very disappointing experience. Manager was kind enough to adjust our bill following my complaint on the day.
