Food was excellent. We requested a quiet table and they were able to accommodate us. All good.
I greatly enjoyed my Sunday dinner at Quod. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was elegant. The one drawback was the piano was quite loud and it was difficult to hear what was being said even across the table.
Quite noisy and table a little bit small /squashed but very friendly and prompt service. Food delicious, fresh tasting wholesome food done well.
Excellent food and service in a superb atmosphere.
Great food, good choice, quality and presentation. Friendly, attentive service and love the atmosphere.
Coût des apéro, dont le gin, excessif.
Fromages servis froids.
Entrée d'artichaut manquée. Un seul coeur et coupé en petits morceaux. A peine gouteux.
Nice ambience, friendly staff, generally very good, consistent food.
Managed to pick badly on the puddings - poached peach and sorbet just very average (and a bit sour) and strawberry sorbet delicious but Pimms jelly slightly failed on the Pimms flavour
A great meal in a busy restaurant with a good atmosphere. We were there for lunch on a Friday and I was pleased I had booked! The waiter picked up that we were celebrating my husband's birthday, so there was a candle in his dessert. Nice touch!
The four of us enjoyed a very tasty meal, drawn from both the set and main menus. The service was good.
The noise level (lunch time) was a bit disturbing at times. Otherwise a very nice dining experience.
A really good evening. A wide choice on the menu with some additional ‘blackboard specials’, with all our choices turning out to be very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. I’d recommend it!
Great food and atmosphere. Took our friends for London in at the weekend, there were so so impressed.
Started the evening at the bar with some cocktails and then shown to our table and the night got better.
Food and service was outstanding.
Thank you and your staff for a great evening.
Really lovely ambience and food very good. Made a mistake with one of the main meals. No problem correcting it and all very quickly done
Seven of us visited Quod for lunch following our son's graduation ceremony on 11 May. Everyone found the food to be exceptional. Our two waitresses were really lovely. Friendly but not intrusive. There were no issues in respect of being a larger group such as people waiting for meals or not being able to have their first choice from the menu. I found our visit to be perfect. Thank You !!
We are frequent visitors to QUOD and always love the buzzy atmosphere and the excellent food. The service at our most recent visit was frankly not up to the usual standard although it improved towards the end of the meal when different waitresses appeared.
Great place! Fab atmosphere, buzzing! Lovely food and really good service!
A smart casual restaurant offering an excellent range of dishes. The restaurant was three quarters full, lively but not too noisy. The service was quick and efficient.
This is a favourite lunch spot, and I can always find something that I really want to eat.
I do have to go early to find a table I like, spacious and near the window. I don't enjoy it so much if I have to sit further back
Food was amazing, cocktails to die for, service incredible and the piano player was Very talentined. Perfect first anniversary dinner thank you so much xx
Met friends for pre concert supper. Service was efficient and mindful that we had a time frame. Good food and plenty of choice.
Lovely birthday luncheon with family and close friends, made absolutely better by Quod's great ambiance and food.
Booked a table while visiting Oxford for an Open Day for our son. We had a tight schedule but the waitress took it in her stride and we were able to have starters and a main in an hour.
The pizza was superb thin and crispy as I like it and the potted crab was light and tasty.
It was drizzling but on a sunny day they have a garden that looks delightful.
I found this restaurant in an article in the Daily Telegraph and had the set menu on a lunchtime. All the food was very good andthe service excellent with attentive staff. We sat outside on the terrace enjoying the spring sunshine. It set the seal on our day's visit to Oxford and we shall certainly be returning.
We had an enjoyable time here, with good food and good service.
A very popular and central place to eat with a great buzz. The menu looked slightly restrictive for non meat eaters, as fish options were limited. Our meal was okay but in many ways, under-seasoned and not desperately exciting to eat. Neither the presentation or taste made an impression and one of our dishes was returned due to a complete lack of flavour. Even the new season's asparagus was dull and overcooked! Perhaps we were unlucky and had picked an 'off' evening as the place was obviously well used. Attentive staff were always on hand and tried to put things right which we appreciated.
My mum and I had a nice dinner in the Quod restaurant underneath the hotel where we stayed for the night. I had the lovely Salmon fish cakes for main, which I really enjoyed. Very tasty and with proper pieces of salmon. My mum had the cheese burger, which she found really tasty as well. The staff were really friendly and welcoming despite being really busy - so can only recommend this place.
Went to Quod on a Saturday night for dinner. Very lively spot. We found the menu interesting, the prices fair, and the service great. High noise level. Fun spot for fine casual dining.
A great meal - especially the risotto and a wonderful atmosphere. Loved the. Furnishings and artwork. Ant wait to come back and sit in the quad.
We went for a family Birthday Lunch to celebrate my 75th birthday. This is the first time any of us had been to Quod, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I had the scallop and prawn gratin, which was delicious with plenty of tasty scallops. We were a mixed party - some vegetarians, who found that there was plenty of choice available for them. Puddings were delicious, and reasonably priced. The "Brexit Mess" was huge!
Friends fro Singapore visiting
Amazing food & great service & good location in centre of Oxford
Great food and atmosphere but the prices seem to be creeping up!
Quod was recommended to me and the food met expectations. Service was good with one exception but you would expect this with an inclusive 12.5% service charge.
However the waiter ruined the entire service at the end. We asked for a liqueur coffee at the end of the meal. Not an outrageous request in a good restaurant. The waiter had not heard of a liqueur coffee so I explained what it was. The issue was what happened next. Nothing. Desserts were delivered but there was no sign of the coffee and furthermore no attempt to make one. Not good enough. I deducted a token amount from the service charge which was also not without difficulty. Top rated service charge should deliver top service throughout. Not good enough on this occasion.
Thank you Quod we had a really enjoyable lunch
The visit was for a birthday brunch. The food was excellent and the service was attentive and incredibly genuine.
Very busy for saturday lunch but prompt efficient service. Good quality food and drinks, interesting varied menu, i would happily go again and happy to refer friends
Was expensive considering there is a meal deal during the week. I felt we paid a lot for not very much on a Saturday.
Very good as usual.
Vanessa is the best waiters ever!!!
Bels place to bring guests new to Oxford, they can sit and see St Mary's, All souls, Radcliffe Camera and the Bodleian, jaw dropping
