Accessed from the High Street and through a glass lobby, Quod restaurant with its terrace and bar, forms the hub of the Old Bank Hotel. Formerly a banking hall it was transformed by owner Jeremy Mogford to become Oxford's largest and most successful restaurant. Stylish, contemporary design describes the space which houses an amazing collection of young British art. Sandra Blow, Craigie Aitchinson and Gary Hume adorn the walls. There is a spectacular terrace where diners can enjoy a morning coffee, the superb value two course lunch or a cocktail.

    Take part in the most traditional English pastime of afternoon tea in the heart of Oxford. With its large windows looking onto the famous colleges, Quod is the perfect stopping point during a walk of the city. Enjoy classic egg & cress or ham and mustard sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a cup of tea or perhaps a glass of champagne. In the summer months tea can be taken on our recently refurbished Italian garden terrace.

    Lovely family breakfast at our favourite spot in Oxford. We live locally and love to treat ourselves sometimes to a family breakfast. The delicious dishes and drinks were just perfect as usual. Yummy warm croissant and flat white coffee hit the spot. Charming waiter whose service was perfect x

    We had a wonderful time at Quod in Oxford. The service was phenomenal, food was fantastic, and the setting was gorgeous. We were initially set next to a live pianist which was wonderful but quite noisy. Our servers immediately asked if we wanted to move and took us to another table in the restaurant. The noise level was definitely manageable but if people are hard of hearing it may have been a challenge. This was an anniversary dinner and it couldn't have been more perfect, I'd highly recommend to other couples looking for somewhere special to spend their time.

    Wonderful restaurant- food was delicious, wine gorgeous and staff were very friendly and nicely attentive. It was my husband’s birthday so we’d taken time choosing where to eat and we weren’t disappointed. Would highly recommend.

    Nice lunch at Quod. I had the duck breast with braised red cabbage and celeriac puree which was excellent. However, we didn't receive any bread on the table and service was a bit slow with several staff members observed standing about chatting whilst diners were waiting for drinks or plates to be cleared. I'd expect much more attentive service at this price point.

    Thank you for your review and feedback. Its great to know our duck breast remains favorite amongst our guests! I am sorry to hear you didn't feel the service warranted the price; slow and inattentive. This should not have been the case and will be reviewed accordingly. On the point of bread, this is something which we charge for so is no longer placed on the table by default. Nevertheless, it is absolutely something which should be offered - our apologies.     Fantastic level of service, great food, a really good time. Reserved table and was not happy with the table we were given. They happily moved us to a more appropriate table. Service was fantastic.

    Great selection of sweet and savoury items for afternoon tea, enjoyed tea/coffee and champagne. Our waitress was lovely - friendly, polite and happy to oblige when we asked her to take some photos. Great ambience even though it's probably their quietest time.
