Lovely afternoon tea. Kelsey was very friendly with a bubbly personality . One other ( didn’t get his name unfortunately) was also of the same down to earth, friendly nature. Hard to get eye contact with some others though (tea hasn’t arrived). Good service. Nice room geared up for Christmas bookings All in all would recommend and will go back again. Food was lovely
Lady in charge, manageress I think, was lovely, very friendly, extremely helpful and welcoming. Mix up with Groupon, she sorted it out right out, made no issue of it. Sandwiches were nice, cakes weren't really to my taste, but that's just because I'm not a big cake eater, they were lovely though. Atmosphere extremely relaxing, quiet music in the background.
Pleasant staff. Absolutely lovely tea.Had to chase up our Prosecco. TV above bar staff distraction. Music more disco than genteel tea....
Went to the Richmond with my wife for afternnoon tea . Young man who served was really chatty and helpful and decorated our table for my birthday which was a nice surprise I wasn't expecting. Food and bubbly was spot on.
Went for afternoon tea with my daughter, on Friday couldn’t fault anything. Staff were lovely very attentive. Afternoon tea was beautiful. Well done Richmond xx
The hotel expected us to eat in the Brasserie following a wedding reception with guests hanging around the public rooms. The menu was very ordinary and not appealing so we did not stay. Would definitely not recommend.
Excellent choice. I had a gift of an afternoon tea for two at the Richmond ... a place I didn't even know existed because it is a little out of the way.
Very enjoyable, nice food and great service in a beautiful location.
Birthday treat with friends lovely place Afternoon tea 🙂 Todd was lovely very friendly and most attentive . The pernist was so good lovely tunes I could have stayed all afternoon X
Went here on wednesday the 5th of july to celebrate our one year anniversary. The lady that served us was warm and friendly and very polite. Food was very tasty and goos value. Drinks were beyond amazing both had cocktails and they were delicious. Would definitely come back and eat here again.
Very good value and service. Food was good as well. Only negative comment get rid of the BIG TV. It is not a sports bar and it is very distracting to have such a Hugh set imposing on the what would otherwise be a lovely atmosphere.
The irish waitress was brilliant, friendly and helpfull. Dining room was empty bar us and one more couple, so felt a bit awkward. Food choice was poor and more of a winter menu than spring, very pricey for what u got more pub grub
Couldn't fault a single thing about my recent visit, the service was fab and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my lactose intolerance, I would most definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and I will definitely be visiting again
Food was very nice but lots of things had run out on the menu. Also there was a wedding party in the restuarant and it felt awkward dining in the middle of their party. I would have rebooked if i was told there was a function on. Couldnt fault the staff.
Food and service was great, will go back again. It lacked a bit of atmosphere but nice surroundings
Absolutely beautiful meal, well cooked and served quickly. The service was fantastic and all staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The restaurant was the perfect setting for our anniversary meal and we will definitely be returning.
Food was just ok but the staff were great and very helpful, very accommodating :)
Everthing was lovely the food the staff were really lovely nothing was too much trouble
Good meal. Good Service. Couldn't fault the location.
We booked a table for our 20th wedding anniversary celebrations as we were staying in this hotel. The food was fantastic and plenty of it however we were surrounded by a group who were extremely loud so there was no romantic meal!! The service was also poor - we were told there was a function downstairs - it took nearly an hour for our main course to arrive - we did get a free round of drinks as a goodwill gesture and an apology however the next night when we went in for a drink, apologies were being made to another couple who were having a meal using the same reason! Dissapointing really as all staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Terrible just terrible. Walked out after 20 mins of waiting at the table for menus and a drink !
Service was really good. I had the best soup I have ever eaten here with was butternut squash with curry.
My main was chicken with potatoe dumplings I tried it but wasn't into the dumplings st all so I ordered chips.
My partner had steak and really enjoyed it.
We waited a while for deserts but they were worth the wait ;)
both of us are veggie. I asked what the "mushroom" was on the menu and the waiter said it was just mushrooms with salad. on that basis I ordered the risotto and it just ended up being barley in water, completely tasteless, just horrendous. Do people think veggies dont like to eat nice food or something? my mum ordered the mushroom though and it ended up being a mushroom pastie type thing that looked lovely. the way the waiter described it, it didn't sound very substantial, otherwise I would have ordered it. extremely disappointing. when mentioned it to the waitress, she seemed to think it was all a big joke. Even though it was 2 courses on a Groupon voucher for £25, it was still overpriced. I certainly wouldn't pay full price for it. Needless to say, we didn't leave a tip.
When we got there they were short staffed. However, our waiter made our stay very accomodating. Very friendly and our food was very good. Sure made up for everything. Very nice restaurant.
I visited the Richmond restaurant on Valentine's night, me and my partner had the set menu of £35 for Great value of food and service. The atmosphere was warming and I will definitely be returning for further special occasions.
