This was our second experience with Raas and couldn’t be happier. Especially impressed with the separate vegan menu which is hard to find most places. I feel like the drinks are a little overpriced but for special occasions this will be our go-to restaurant. Phenomenal food and friendly, attentive waitstaff.
Food was good. Service a little slow. Sitting on the porch was nice, but the floor isn't super stable, so our glasses would shake a bit on the table when people walked by.
A wonderful evening a beautiful restaurant. Perfect in every way.
We love Raas. We think it’s one of the very best restaurants in Rehoboth/Lewes. Great atmosphere, amazing food. I think it’s a bit pricey, especially the wines at 15 to 25 a glass, they are also the only restaurant to require a credit card number for a reservation. I would probably given 5 stars but thought the service was not up to snuff. One of our party ordered branzino, only to be informed 30 min later that they had run out. Second issue was the naan that they delivered 10 min after the entrees were served and mostly consumed. Not major issue but not what you’d expect at a place of this caliber at this price point.
We are not as familiar with Indian food as we are with other ethnic foods. The owner came out personally to share with us his favorites and to explain everything on the menu. The food was wonderful. It was a wonderful evening.
Food was excellent and our server was knowledgeable and attentive.
Food, ambiance, and service were incredible. Raas made our anniversary dinner very special. I would definitely recommend Raas to anyone looking for incredible food and great atmosphere!
Outstanding flavor and presentation.
Our first time at Raas and it was a perfect night. Our server Nick was amazing , he gave us so many good recommendations. The food was delicious and looked amazing . We will definitely be going back .
Excellent Indian food. Service was friendly and helpful.
The food was amazing, great service, will definitely eat there again!
Outstanding in every way but You definitely pay for it
Indian food at its finest. As Vegans, we appreciated the Vegan menu options and the separate Vegan menu. The Wait Staff were excellent, attentive without being overbearing. All-in-all a lovely meal.
Outstanding Food! Outstanding ambiance! Outstanding service! Attentive, informed wait staff.
Went with my family for my birthday and the food and service were just phenomenal, we will be back.
Good fresh food and friendly service. Lighting in the restaurant was bizarrely bright so ambiance wasn’t great. Decent value for good but $19 for a poorly made martini was disappointing.
Once again it was a great experience dining at Raas. David was a phenomenal server and the kitchen outdid itself with the biryani. Rass has become one of the premier restaurants in Rehoboth/Lewes in our opinion.
This was our first experience at RAAS. Be sure to begin with one of their unique cocktails - we loved the Spicy Mango Margarita. The four of us each ordered a dish and we shared. Our favorites were the Prawns and Chicken Korma, with the Lamb Biryani and House Specialty Lentils 3rd and 4th, but all 4 dishes were delicious. I would recommend any of the 4 depending on your tastes.
Almost everything about the food and the overall dining experience is excellent. However, it does seem to be unnecessarily pricey.
We had an absolutely fabulous dining experience!! The food was outstanding and every aspect of our evening was wonderful. The staff was beyond personable and we will be returning!
The cocktails and appetizers were delightful and the food was excellent, though a bit rich for some in our party. Our waiter, David, was patient, pleasant and professional. For all of the upside though, we probably won't be back anytime soon. The prices were high and in the end, a little hard to swallow.
We are regulars at Raas, and I don't write a review every time we visit, but we were there last evening for a special dinner with friends, and the meal was astounding! We started with crispy okra, papadam, smoked eggplant, and prawns. Everyone loved them. I had promised my friends the large branzino, we were not disappointed! The 4.5 pound fish was melt in your mouth delicious, crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked inside and "just caught" fresh! The presentation was beautiful with vegetables and ginger sauce. We also shared the pea and mushroom masala, chana masala, spinach and corn from the vegan menu, and saffron pea rice. The flavors in every dish were distinctive, well balanced and fresh. We needed a bigger table!!! What a feast!!! The chocolate mousse is quite simply the best I have ever eaten! Thank you Chef GG, and David and Aldrick (for my special cocktail) and all the chefs in the kitchen, for making this a truly memorable evening!
Congratulations To Raas on winning the recent well deserved award from the Sussex County Council! Chef GG, Chef Bikram, Chef Sadaam, Chef Sashikan, Aldrick, David, Brian, Noni, Damian, you all worked very hard for your recent awards! Congratulations, and well done!! We're so happy for you!
Amazing service! Everything we ordered was delicious. A perfect place to celebrate something!
Nona was our server and she was outstanding. Food was fresh. I would say the food is more Indian/American blend. We sat outside and it was a fresh experience. Inside the restaurant was beautiful. Highly recommend and ask for Nona for a great experience.
We had a delightful experience at Raas. Our server was extremely helpful and we enjoyed everything he recommended, especially the spicy mango margarita. The food was also very good. We had the whole fish dish which was very tasty, but the price made sharing a necessity and the quantity is only enough for one.
As always the food was excellent!! Our server managed to make the overall evening unpleasant! He was without exception the rudest server I have ever had! I would add that this was NOT the norm at Raas! He even "corrected" my correct pronunciation of tempura with his incorrect attempt!!
My guests were stunned by his rudeness and wondered how he managed to keep his job!!
Management needs to read the riot act to him!
The food was delicious and service was outstanding!
Pretty expensive Indian restaurant - and the the service aside - the food was just OK. The "pork loin" that looked like a pork chop and the lamb were both overcooked. The sauce was very good - scallop app was good too - but for >$20 for four scallops...
Anyway - might try again, but for a $200 dinner - doubtful.
First, the food is fantastic. My disappointment is that they did not honor my reservation request for seating. I requested an outdoor porch table for 4 people. This was crucial because one attendee is currently being treated for cancer. Another is a cancer survivor. When we arrived a few minutes before our reservation, there was a table for 4 on the porch. However 3 people who arrived at the same time were seated there, I listened to that party make the request. I told the server I had a reservation for a porch table and was told it is first come first serve. Yet, I had to provide a credit card and would be charge $20/person if I were to cancel my reservation. Especially in view of the fact that I would have been charged to cancel they should have honored my reservation request for a porch table.
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding, overall a very nice evening.
Our first, but not last, visit exceeded our expectations. The ambiance was relaxed and intimate. Service was very knowledgeable and helpful. The meal stimulated all of our senses.
Total wonderful experience. The restored historic mansion is welcoming and the inside decor lovely. We met the Chef upon entry snd he was welcoming and personable. Our food was incredible. Our waiter, David, was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful! We ordered multiple small plates and he staged the courses for us so they we could enjoy each while they were warm. They have wonderful cocktails with top-notch ingredients. This restaurant is the whole package! Don’t miss it! We will make it a mainstay whenever we are in Lewes.
Will be back!!!! David was awesome!!!! A delightful experience!!!!
Delicious take on traditional Indian cuisine. Spice level calibrated to western taste but every dish was a feast unto itself! The Tandoori scallops were to die for good and the lamb shank Rogan Josh a treat. Dessert with rose petal and mango ice cream a fitting end! Will go back again for sure!
Just happy staff! Smiles and greetings. The owner/chef was out working alongside his waitstaff. Our server David was fantastic. He had an excellent command of the menu and libations. His recommendations were spot on.
Food was served at a nice pace. Food was flavorful and servings more than ample!
All in all a gem in Sussex County for lovers of Indian food.
This is a fabulous restaurant with elegant Indian food.
You must go and enjoy it yourself.
Always great good and Chef GG provides great hospitality.
Enjoyed the small plates, so we got to try several items
