Rabble is also home to Edinburgh’s first low and slow taphouse where locally sourced, quality produce is given the love and attention it deserves. Meat and fish is slow cooked over white oak charcoal on our open fire pit and unpasteurised craft beer is poured from our copper tanks, fresh from the brewery the way it was intended.
Our skilled bartenders shake, stir and build an impressive selection of cocktails and drinks, whilst our team of chefs are dedicated to working with local suppliers to ensure quality and provenance in every dish we serve. From lazy mornings with boozy brunches, to afternoon cocktails, à la carte dinners, quick bites at the bar and big celebrations - Rabble is the place to go.
Children are able to stay in the restaurant until 10pm as long as you are dining.
Terrible service even after pointing it out to staff, the service got worse! Food is excellent but really don’t recommend due to such poor service
I visited with my friends for a catch up and had a lovely lunch, good service and very nice food.
I made a reservation through OpenTable but the restaurant didn’t seem to be aware of it. The food was good and there are a lot of interesting dishes on the menu but the service wasn’t great. I was there on a Sunday afternoon. It didn’t seem overly busy but staff seemed to go MIA for long periods and got our first drinks order wrong. It was a shame because I’d been once before and had a better experience the first time round.
Went with friends for cocktails and food to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Just the right balance for early evening drinks and food. Menu is limited but plenty to find something to eat.
Fun and lively atmosphere. Great service. The food was good (we had better elsewhere in Edinburgh) but it was a nice change of pace and made for a good night. Our waiter was great with my kids’ food allergies. We had a very good experience.
We really enjoyed this restaurant...so much so that we ate there twice in 5 days. We highly recommend it.
We visited Rabble for Father's Day (party of 4) and was very disappointed with the service. The waitress was not familiar with the menu and wasn't able to answer any questions. We had to ask to see the menu initially, re-order a second round of drinks which had been forgotten and then ask if there was a desert menu as nothing was brought to us. After ordering our mains we were told 15 minutes later that one of the dishes (ordered by two of our party) was not actually available. We should have been advised of this much sooner. There were only about 5 occupied tables so its not that the staff were busy.
Although the bar is a nice setting and the food was fine, the poor service ruined our visit so we wont rush back.
We booked quite late on in the day, luckily there was still some tables available. Our waitress, I believe her name was Ana, was friendly and efficient in service; despite having what seemed to be a rather full and busy section.
Food tastes amazing and is presented well, although I would say starters are a bit on the small side and some main dishes would benefit from more accompaniments; the pork I had only came with some green beans, for example.
There is a nice selection of drinks and cocktails all at reasonable prices considering the location.
Great food and drinks and lovely cosy environment, only downsside was quite unfriendly and unthusiastic service
Ambience nice and as we were leaving venue was going into evening mode and lighting looked lovely.
Food was nice but group was disappointed that the churros for dessert were unavailable as chef had left!
Would give restaurant another try perhaps for breakfast.
Lunch with friends and it was an easy and relaxed vibe.
Stayed overnight and bedroom although small was well kitted out, dinner in the restaurant was average, biggest problem was choice from menu too limited.
Had breakfast next day and it was a total shambles, sat for over 35 minutes before our order taken, sat for a further 25 + minutes waiting on our food. When it arrived it was terrible, tasteless and food was over cooked but cold , I can only think the food was left sitting somewhere or the chef had trouble with his timings and some food was ready too early but not served. Would not rate this venue in any positive way.
Very accommodating to us with our 2 year old. Great oysters, the mini loves the mac and cheese (so did his dad haha). Great service. So glad we came!!
Met friends at Rabble for dinner. This was a first visit for all three of us and we were pleasantly surprised. The food, service and ambience was excellent. A popular gathering place in the city.
