Meeting my children’s partners... lovely opportunity to gather around a table together..
foods and wines are good and it is reasonable price range.
This is opposite Almeida Theatre and very handy for the theatre. They serve your meal very quickly and the food is delicious so it is definitely recommended.
pleasant enough for pre theatre. had pre theatre menu. food acceptable. however, tasteless tomatoes in starter salad. Good service. Terribly noisy. would go back for pre theatre because of convenience of restaurant but definitely not for a night out.
Great food and service. Would recommend for a romantic dinner in a nice environment
Eaten here twice, great food, delicious pasta, perfect pizza. First time we went it was very busy pre-theatre and we spotted 3 famous actors. Second time less busy so better for relaxing. Very good service. Loved it!!
Radici never fails to deliver with authentic Italia cooking, wines and cocktails. We love it!
Had a lovely brunch there with friends celebrating a birthday. Chose from the a la carte menu as the brunch menu meant we'd be having egg for starter and egg for main as the other choices were not to our palette. However the aubergine croquettes, meatballs and courgette frites were so delicious - highly recommend!
Excellent dinner, second visit and food was perfect, really tasty.
Excellent food. Warm and cosy atmosphere. Table a bit small for 6 people especially as there was no where to put coats.
Very handy for the Almeida Theatre and perfect for an early dinner. Good food, service and ambience.
The food was very good; the truffle pasta, in particular. Service was friendly but slow - they didn't bring menus until we'd been seated for more than 10 minutes. But overall, I would recommend and would return.
Radici's is the place to go for pre or post theatre dining in Islington. Great menu and perfectly portioned meals.
Quiet lunch on a Tuesday. The restaurant was nearly empty but did not feel cold; the staff were professional yet friendly, and efficient. The food was high quality, made with good ingredients and well cooked, without being over-complex. An Italian's Italian.
8 people with one caeliac. They have gluten free pasta. For a little delay in the service, the chef offered us a pizza.
Lovely the pasta cacio pepe and truffles
On a tour of Italian food in the neighbourhood, we chanced upon this lovely gem of a restaurant just of Upper street. A very spacious restaurant with a laid back feel and excellent service.
We had a delicious pre-theatre supper here. One of the specials was a cauliflower ‘steak’ - ie. a large piece of roasted cauliflower, served on breadcrumbs with a delicious white sauce. We had this and a portion of perfectly cooked spaghetti with a sauce made from baby tomatoes. Both dishes were really excellent. A real pleasure! We shall definitely go back again.
The food was good although the black Alioil with my sardines felt a bit slimey!! The portions are not over generous but ok!
The place was busy and so the service for us was a bit slow.
The set menu was excellent value and while the choice is a bit limited the quality of food is really good
Lovely meal at Radici. The set menu was fantastic.
A fabulous place for a family reunion with older relatives and little ones. The food and wine was exceptional, and great value too.
Great food, excellent service. Let down a little by the rather 'tired' looking cocktails served in very ordinary glasses.
Food was good, portions generous. Service a bit slow. Overall excellent.
Food was great and so was the service. Lunch deal and the Bottomless Prosecco are brilliant (£15 unlimited)
Need more staff for a Friday night!! Service was good when it happened!
Great location, great building but sadly let down by decidedly average food and slow service....this is supposed to be speedy pre-theatre place! We were lured by the great value set menus and chose to upgrade to the standard menu. Although the restaurant wasn't particularly busy it took 25 minutes for our order to be taken. When the food arrived it was decidedly average and quite pricey given the quality/portions. There are plenty of great value restaurants in this area so I am surprised to see this place not taking full advantage of the fantastic (LARGE) kitchen facilities and lovely building. Soooooo much potential....
I found this place soulless to be honest, the service was incredibly informal, felt like a branch of Zizzi’s. I did not enjoy my parmigiana, not enough rich tomato sauce. Very disappointed as it was my birthday night out and a rare night away from our baby.
The food was as good as usual, however the service was poor – not enough staff for a big restaurant left us waiting for just about everything. It wasn't their fault, but they were clearly a few folk short. Still, we'll be back… after August!
Very poor service, food adequate but expensive for what it was; tried to overcharge for drinks. Very noisy.
With the evening standard offer the food was average. In future if I want a £15 meal I’d just go full on cheap and cheerful
Excellent pre-theatre meal deal choice. Good value & service. Would def recommend.
We can't go wrong with Radici, they've got it just right. Good portion sizes so you can have plenty. Very tasty pasta dishes too
Tasty food every time! Keep up the smiling service!
Radici was chosen as a Monday night get together with an old friend, with the criteria of being close to a mutually convenient Tube station, and Southern Italian, which is where we both met many years ago. Radici surpassed itself, mainly by the quality of the food, which is the most important! We started with an unexpectedly half price Radici-style Negroni, which was delicious, served beautifully with three olives, relaxed us and whetted our appetites for the meal to come. I started with the burrata, which was exquisite (although a little flat and squashed, was expecting its usual plumpness!) and my friend had the salumi, served on a wooden board, also declared delicious. My main course was the parmigiana melanzana, one of my favourite dishes when done well. The portion looked small, but I savoured every mouthful and incredibly, I was replete at the end. My friend had a Crudaiola pizza, which he could not finish, despite a big appetite and sporty physique! The service was absolutely delightful, particularly from our waitress from Sardegna. My friend had a beer, I had the house wine and we finished with an Amaro, a perfect end to the evening in this lovely airy restaurant, with calm and warm ambience. Would love to return soon!
A nice and relaxed trattoria-style restaurant, with superior food, tucked away from the crowds on Upper Street. I always really appreciated the spaciousness of the restaurant - lots of space between tables - in a part of London where you often feel like you're always on top of somebody else! It has a bit of an oasis feel, a bit off the beaten-track, and rarely full, which is a shame for them, but a bonus for diners.
Great pre-theatre. Fantastic pasta as always. Tagiolini delicious
Limited menu and quite overpriced. OK if you just want a pizza
Terrible pasta ‘cacio e pepe’: overcooked and bland. I had the same dish in Rome and absolutely no comparison. The pizza ‘Calabrese’ was another major disappointment: it was mushy other than crispy and overall bland. The workers are Italian but doesn’t mean they know about good food from Italy.
Radio our go to place when we can't be bothered cooking. Just like mamma's cooking
Fathers day lunch. Food was delicious - every dish we had was great. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the restaurant is very spacious, so lots of other fathers day parties with children were not a problem.
The service was a bit slow, and it was difficult to catch the waiter's eye to order additional things.
We could have ordered everything we had from the set menus but because the order was taken piecemeal, we weren't able do that and paid for the a la carte menu. Having said that we felt it was value for money - if we had ordered set menus it would have been fantastic value.
