Radius 7 was established in 2015 with the intention of bringing local produce, fresh from local suppliers, allotments, the harbour and the farm, to the public. It takes the form of a relaxed, accessible and welcoming bar and restaurant. What makes the restaurant particularly special though is the guiding principle by which the team find suppliers and local producers to work with.
Please note that we may kindly ask for your table to be vacated 2 hours after your reservation time
Great food and service. Great local restaurant and Sunday lunch
Never disappoints, lovely staff , great cocktails.sunday roast Serloin was melt in the mouth and good thick slabs of locally sourced beef.It doesn’t get better than that and the gravy was amazing rich and deep in flavour.
The food was excellent and every bit as good as other fine dining experiences nearby.
We had a lovely welcome in arrival and enjoyed a couple of drinks before being sat. The menu was great with a number of different things to eat. The food was lovely and tasty and we enjoyed it. The restaurant was warm and has lovely views over the sea.
The food was lovely I had the fish platter and husband had brixham plaice. The dark & light pudding was to die for . If you like fish plenty of choice .
The starters took us somewhat by surprise, I was expecting a quail's scotch egg to be smaller and the carpaccio was neither as rare or as thinly sliced as I expected. Still, we managed to fit in both mains and dessert. My husband loved his seafood platter and the duck was perfectly rare. The best, however, was probably the fruit platter. It was situation varied and delicious
Again a very good evening, service was friendly and the food was delicious.
We ate here for a birthday treat (just 2 of us), and overall really enjoyed it..it is a small village venue, the food was excellent, well cooked and full of flavour..the only real negative was the time it took to arrive from ordering ..50 minutes, and not on a very busy evening..I realise all is cooked fresh to order , but as we didn’t have a starter it would have been really nice to have been offered some form of complimentary nibbles ! However, would definitely recommend and would visit again if in area.
we had a lovely meal for my partners birthday, food was good, timing was relaxed between courses, didn't feel rushed or neglected! Nice touch of the birthday pudding as well.
This was our first visit to Radius 7. We had a lovely evening, staff were so welcoming. Would definitely return.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Service was rather slow but the food was worth the wait.
Another great meal at radius 7 it's always a lovely atmosphere and great food and staff are very friendly
Can vary in service but fresh food and really good quality.
Veggie options need looking at some great but the filled onion ring not great
Had a great meal at Radius 7. Loved that the food was locally sourced. Excellent food all round, and friendly staff, would def go again when next down in Devon.
Second time to radius 7,fabulous food, good place to wine and dine
The best roast beef around , lovely staff especially Martyn.delicious Sunday roast the gravy was amazing
Lovely evening on our date night at Radius 7. Gorgeous food, coupled with a delicious bottle of Roaring Meg, NZ Sauvignon. Very friendly staff. So good infact we went back again on Saturday evening. Definitely try their cocktails; can recommend the Pornstar Martini. Looking forward to going back when next in the area...
It didn't seem that Radius 7 had received or noticed our special requests from the Open Table booking system. Having written it was for a 15th anniversary dinner and asked for a quiet, romantic table, nobody mentioned this or congratulated us. We were initialy placed at a draughty table next to the stairs to the loos and where the waiters were constantly passing - hardly quiet and romantic. We asked to be moved and were placed in a much better location. With the exception of some woody samphire which was inedible and some undercooked leeks served with fish - not a good combination, the food was excellent with generous portions and imaginative ingredients. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had an enjoyable evening. We live locally and plan to return after the Summer rush is over. Next time we have a special occasion to celebrate, we'll phone direct and not use Open Table.
We ate here with friends to celebrate my husbands birthday. It’s a lovely restaurant, the service was excellent, attentive, but not overbearing! The menu was different & really creative! We each enjoyed a different starter & main course & were all impressed with our choice. Try the nibbles as a starter, generous portion but not too much to fill you up! Good size portions for the main course too, but we were all too full for deserts which was a shame! Excellent value too! Very impressed with this restaurant & can highly recommend!
Nice atmosphere, decent wine but above all sensational food.
Excellent Sunday lunch !! If you are on holiday in The Dartmouth area this place is only a couple of miles drive in a car and is an absolute "must go to " ! We are already booked to go again !!
Amazing roast dinners ,we had goats cheese fitters and scotch egg starters ,so good lovely salsas with these ,then beef perfectly cooked ,chicken and veggies roast ,in love with the cheesy leaks and the Yorkshire puddings were huge ,wanted to lick my plate clean , couldn't fit in a pud but saw how much my done enjoyed his ! He had a mix of two kids meals , chicken nuggets with roast spuds ,carrots and veg ,loved it cleared his plate , highly recommend .
Very accommodating. Excellent menu choice. Well worth the journey out of Dartmouth.
The food is absolutely fantastic! Everything is cooked fresh so you have a little wait however don't let that put you off, it gives you time to chat and enjoy the setting.
Delicious meal including some interesting vegetarian options and lovely fish. We particularly enjoyed the mussels we shared as a starter and the chocolate coffee pudding. Very friendly and beautifully decorated- a lovely find only a mile from our campsite, bonus!
We had great starters: the trio of salmon and the seared brixham scallops. We were disappointed by our mains: the braised shoulder of California cross lamb and Less Warne beef fillet. The jus that came with both mains was way too overpowering and salty/burned, too far reduced I think. It just killed the flavour of the meats. I ordered the pieces of fillet medium, but they were cooked a bit too long. The mini shepards pie was wonderful. Nice wines.
We were quickly shown to our table once we'd made our way through the packed bar side of Radius 7. The staff were friendly and explained the menu, specials etc and brought water almost staight away. We asked for still and would have preferred tap water which wasn't an option; although others asked and received it. A gluten free menu was offered to my husband; who has Coeliac disease and he had plently of choce as well as good advice We chose to have a main meal and dessert. The food is locally sourced, within a 7 mile radius, hemce the name. All these ingredients appear to be freshly prepared from 'scratch' which meant for a long wait for our meal; about 45mins. We were patient but it meant we actullay ate much later than we would have preferred. Yhe meal was well cooked and flavoursome. The ambience was good but the staff rushing about to cope with all the orderes was a little distracting in the restaurant itself. The toilets are downstairs which were very busy with staff almist running up and down. After visiting the toliets I stood aside at the bottom for a member of staff who rushed down and past me with no comment.
With a little more finesse and more comcentration on individual diners rather than trying to run a bar, restaurant and a popular take away service all at once might wnhance the diners experience.
Best food we have all had in a long time! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great food and atmosphere!
Excellent Sunday lunch ,well priced .Highly recommended.
My partner & I visited Radius7 on the last evening of our break away in Dartmouth. We had been past the restaurant several times and decided to give it a try. We booked online just to ensure we would get a table as it was a good 15 minutes walk.
When we arrived we were 15 minutes early and at this point we were told we would have to wait and could only have drinks. Although the restaurant wasn’t overly busy we relunctantly accepted. Although the real insult was when another couple had just walked in without booking they were seated straight away; drinks brought over as table service and food received with 10 minutes. Certainly not the experience we had after booking and arriving early.
Baring in mind all the tome there was a gentleman sat writing what looked like rotas (perhaps the manager), not providing any direction to the staff!
We were then seated 5-10 minutes after the actual booking was made.
The restaurant was a real attempt an old world seaside feeling coupled with modern design. Let’s just say, this was missed and the two themes had no cohesion. Making it worse, was the lack of cleanliness. There was many items of food, dried and trapped between the groves of the wood on the table! Bit of elbow grease and pushing the cloth into the groves would easily solve this.
Although what we would consider bad service at the start, lack of cleanliness and please turn the music down!!! There were 2 saving graces that made the experience much better!
The food, must come from a very talented chef indeed! The cod goujons & onion petals stater; incredibly tasty. We would also have to recommend the Three Little Pigs & Fish/Chips main (apart from stay away from the homemade tartar sauce - yuck!)
One last comment has to be made; although and very regrettably we did not hear any of the staff names. One waitress in particular (can only describe the amazing multi coloured shoes she was wearing); was an absolute joy & made us feel very welcome & smile !!!
Ate here 3 times in one week while holidaying in Devon. Thoroughly recommended!
For a small village this restaurant offers so much.great cocktails lovely bar and a great light airy restaurant with a sea view and a covered seating area at the back .
The menu offers amazing local produce beautifully presented and tasty.
Fresh fish and lobster when available and it’s soo good.
Good well priced too. The wine list is compact but something for all palates.
It’s a south hams gem. Try it
Very nice place to eat, fish and chips fabulous, staff want to lighten up instead of huffing and puffing at customers, and stop hovering over tables to see if you have finished.remember that the customer is paying there wages
The food was very good.
The one disappointment was that they had no draught beer available.
Delicious food. Excellent wine. Lovely waitress just back off maternity leave, couldn't do enough for us. So nice. Second waitress was bellowing, rushing around and slightly aggressive trying to sell us water. Really off putting.
We have eaten at Radius 7 a few times and have always been impressed with the food. All of their ingredients are locally sourced and their menu is varied and interesting, with something to cater to all tastes. Every dish we’ve tried has been delicious.
Whilst staying in the local area we came across this lovely little restaurant online. The taste and presentation of the food did not disappoint us at all. Service was friendly and prompt and they even allow dogs in the bar area.
