Always great from the food choice to the the service! Top notch!

We arrived on table but they told us to go to the pub next door for 40 mins because they didn’t have a table, although we had booked.

It was, as always, a n enjoyable evening at Raja. The welcome is so warm, the service excellent and the food good and spicy and superb value. The atmosphere at Raja is always fun and vibrant.
Once again, a pleasure all round. We’ll be back soon!

Somewhat pricey, had better in far cheaper restaurants

ALways come here for great food and service, we took someone who was visiting who’d never experienced indian cuisine before they were blown away! Will be back again soon.

Friendly staff, good service and one of the best curries in Cambridge!

Fab place and attentive staff. A step up from the average Indian cuisine.

Booked two hours before and they couldn’t have been more friendly. The food was amazing with complimentary water and poppodoms. Would totally recommend.

Waiter dropped our starter all over the floor up the wall and on my shoes. Had to ask for cutlery and side plates. Small amount of food for price and hidden charges for sauces for pappadoms. Will not be returning here!

When we arrived at the restaurat we were a little surprised: no table linen, very simple decor. This is more than compensated for by the exceptional service and the truly fantastic curries. A slight effort to be made on the wine (only one bottle of Rosé wine in stock) but for the rest, 5 stars.

We had a lovely family meal, having booked online. We were greeted by name which was nice. Service was prompt and friendly. The food, though not cheap, was good and freshly prepared.

Have been eating at this restaurant for at least 3 years. The food has always been incredibly good: lots of flavour, good heat in dishes which should be hot, but the heat is not extreme.

The meat is always cooked perfectly and tasty. The sharing starter platter is fantastic. The portions are always of a good size. And the naan breads normally come cut into quarters which makes sharing easy.

Easily my favourite Asian food restaurant.

All the dishes were full of flavour and not overwhelmed by spices, for example could taste the spinach in the Sagwala. Staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely a new favourite restaurant in Cambridge!

Amazing service as usual and great food. The only downside to this particular visit were the very noisy party of 16 who insisted on having the tables rearranged - well done to the staff for politely accommodating them!

Delicious food, particularly the chicken madras & sag paneer; best I've tasted anywhere. Service superb from the first name welcome on arrival through friendly, attentive but not over bearing table service, this family run business is all you'd ever need in an Indian restaurant. We'll be back next time we're in Cambridge.

Bit of a blind booking for a group of friends to have a curry together. Fortunately, it was a great choice - friendly staff and nice place. Excellent Chicken Dansak and tasty Peshawari nan. Will definitely go back again!

What a great experience! If your unsure about which dish to have feel free to ask the waiting staff they make great recommendations. Cozy and small with a great character. This place is really popular with the locals so I recommend making a booking. Definitely try the Peshwari Chicken(mild) it's to die for. They also have a wide range of vegatarian options and vegan. Definitely the best restaurant serving Asian/ Indian cuisine in cambridge.

This is our second visit here. Searched trip advisor and booked online. On arrival we realised we had been before. It was just ok then. Place has been refurbished and looks better but it is small and lacks atmosphere. Was very busy so people seem to like it. We thought it was overpriced. Wished I had checked the menu online and gone elsewhere.

The food and service was excellent. The Onion Bhaji's were outstanding. Very very good.

Another good touch is that the Raja Indian do not sneak a 10% tip onto the bill. We tipped 10% pleased that it was in our own hands.

Great food and really friendly owner from India. Went here after having a cocktail at a cute bar a few doors down. The vegetarian dishes are limited so we ordered a few small starters. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but it is clean. Seems they do quite a bit of take out.

Great restaurant. The best Indian/Asian restaurant in the city. A lovely choice of vegetarian options also meat eaters are welcome. Really cozy seats. I had a great evening. The staff here are really friendly always smiling and happy to help or give recommendations. A recommend making a booking.
