Red Dog Saloon Soho
Barbeque grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smouldering wood added a distinctive smoky taste to the meat. The process could take many hours, leaving the meat tender and juicy.
Our award-winning smokers have been imported from the USA and are built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We smoke for up to 16 hours using the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavour.

Food was good. Could of been hotter and wings were very oily but was nice. The service however was appalling in every way. Staff disinterested and drinks took 35 mins to arrive
Amazing food, you can't go wrong with anything from the menu (it's just hard to choose what to have!). The staff and friendly, and service is quick even when the restaurant is full (we visited on a Friday evening). Can't fault the place :)
Not a patch on Bodean's but the same price. They were very nice in there but the food wasn't up to the standard of the price asked.
Went there a month ago and the milkshake machine was broken. A month later and it’s still broken. Burger was lukewarm at best but still tasty. Sides were good.
This was my second visit to Red dog in Soho, on my first visit I had the meat platter I recommend this if you like your meat then this is the one. Yesterday I had the destroyer burger again I can’t fault red dog I shall be visiting again very soon
The food was absolutely fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and would recommend it to anyone. The ambience was perfect and very helpful staff
Unreal food and the taste was out of this world. Very good atmosphere
Lovely bbq food. Cocktails 2 for 10 before 7
Great food and service.
Tables a bit too close to each other, but does not detract from good food.
The service was laughable, our server got our order wrong, after talking over us whilst we were trying to order. She then proceeded to present us with the bill without us asking for it or being given the chance to order any dessert.
Good food but please bring back the old serving staff.
Unfortunately limited menu and was cramped in middle table when reserved months before requesting table to side, disappointing food and service sadly
was great, food is amazing and servers are great
Incredible food, really, really good! Venue is quite small so you are sat close to others, if it’s busy, but the food makes it worth it!
Rude staff member as we walked in, very slow service and rude at the end when asked for service charge to be taken off the bill
Best burger in a very long time.
We arrived 5 mins late to our booking to be told they had no reservation for us. Turns out they had already checked us in 20 mins before our allocated seating time. Service was slow and we waited 20 mins for 2 of our drinks and then have to wait and ask a member of staff for our 3 third. This arrived after we got our starter. The mains took an hour from when we sat down and this was only because we asked where our food was fine and we would happily visit another Red Dog Saloon but not this location. Staff and management seemed bored and uninterested. We found that a service charge had been added to our bill which was a joke as the service was awful. We begrudgingly paid it as we had no time to complain as we had a concert to get to.
The place was nice initially but as it got busier, even though the place is small they seemed to struggle to keep up with demand they weren’t very efficient and the manager seemed to spend more time picking his nose than helping out. There was one particular lady who was very attentive but the incompetents of the rest meant she seemed stretched quite thin
Holy Cow! Food was outstanding!
I will definitely be back
Food was incredible and service all night was great and good fun
Absolutely dire. The manager was vile and rude. Service was painfully slow. Tables around us sending back food that was cold. Avoid
Great service, the staff were really friendly and attentive. They made you feel welcome.
The food came out quickly and tasted great.
They lunch time deals made it great value too.
I will be going again.
Ran out of brisket, ribs.... cocktails were awful. Very uncharacteristic for this normally amazing restaurant. I was very very disappointed.
Not that impressed - was squeezed between two tables - either side coughing and sneezing away - not the restaurant fault obviously - but in general tables are way too close together you'll be touching other customers non stop accidentally.
Absolutely not the restaurant to dine in during a pandemic if you are remotely still being cautious which we all need to be so hospitality stays open.
Meat wasn't that great - really average. Fatty and cold .
Amazing burgers and bbq sauce. Only small gripe is maybe have a kids menu. Apart from that, loved it and can’t wait to come back.
I arrived late, had no idea that the kitchen closed at 10 so we had to rush our orders and I wasn’t too pleased with the KC burger and some other items on the menu had run out. Otherwise it was a decent evening and look to come back to try again properly.
Food was really good but we waited a long time for it and our drinks to arrive after ordering. Several waiters wandering around looking like they didn’t really know what they were doing 😬
Excellent food and good service, 2 for 1 cocktails went down a treat.
Food was delicious and the waiter helped us with the menu! Great service! Loved the recommendations he gave us!
First time here and would go back! Amazing burgers, fab cocktails and great atmosphere
We were very disappointed. We were looking forward to trying some of the extra hot wings (the Wings challenge) and a selection of meats. We were told that they didn't have the wings, and nor did they have several of the meats on offer. As this is the main reason to come to a BBQ restaurant, we drank our beers and left, heading to Bodean's instead. A real shame.
Had to move tables at their request three times, each time sitting closer to the open front door, which isn’t as nice in October as it might be in June.
Cocktails weren’t the best and the wait to get them was long.
In terms of BBQ food there are much better places in London. I ordered buffalo wings and was expecting proper American style wings, coated in buffalo sauce, instead I got wings in no sauce, swimming in oil, that had zero flavour accompanied by a blue cheese dip that also tasted of nothing.
Staff were unhelpful with suggestions and explaining the menu so in the end we all left hungry.
Also, the one bathroom in the restaurant really needed cleaning. That was gross.
Overall just a bad choice.
Amazing food and service to match! Would recommend to anyone!
Top food you won’t be disappointed get it booked today
I booked a table for a party of 6. We show up at the venue 20minutes before our time and the place is closed and under construction. Ruined a Friday evening
I was so disappointed in the way your manager at soho handled my booking, as a big lover of red dog saloon this was very uncharacteristic of anybody else I’ve ever met at any branch. Our table was cancelled just a few hours before our booking and requested we eat at another branch, when I asked if we were entitled to any discount for the inconvenience he was very rude and abrupt with me. For this reason I could not recommend Red dog saloon to anybody anymore I’m afraid.
Restaurant had a power cut and cancelled all bookings with not notifying customers that had booked and travelled in. Terrible customer service avoid this place
when we arrived it was shut, due to what I can only assume were power issues due to UKPN digging up outside & having a towable generator with them, nobody let me know it was shut or cancelled the booking.
Tasty food, lovely ambience and friendly customer service.
This is the best place to get burgers in London. The cheeseburger cannot be beaten! We come here about once a month to get our fix. Shame they had no milkshakes available, but the beer is pretty good.
Had such a lovely meal would 100% recommend ! Food was amazing
