Only fault was possibly waiting too long for food but had drinks so no problem

Our second visit to the Red Lion, which is now our favourite place to eat when in the Woodbridge area. Very efficient ref booking and being given a suitable table. Good ambience. Very good service. Excellently prepared food from a menu with plenty of variety and choice. Very fair prices, and all-round value for money.

very pleasant experience, staff super helpful. Limited menu, to be expected. Really tasty food - the desert was exceptional. One small niggle - our table was next to a walk thru, there were empty tables off to the side - maybe my fault for not requesting to move.

The staff are very friendly. The food was extremely tasty and the portions are a very good size. We ate the Sunday roast which was very well prepared and presented. The gravy tasted great and the meat was lovely and tender. The Yorkshire pudding is fantastic. The vegtables were cooked with a slight bite and I could taste the flavour very well. The masked potatoes and roast potatoes were brilliant.
There is also a great dessert menu and I can highly recommend the chocolate brownies.
Good selection of Gin and beers, wines, spirits. real fire too.
Good atmosphere and well decorated with a relaxing feel to the pub.

A lively place, welcoming staff, food good,though would have the steak and ale pie, it was so good it sold out

The food and service was mediocre.My lasagne although tasty was very greasy.My biggest complaint was that at a table next to us a customer not only had her dog on her lap the whole time but actually put it on the table.Nothing was said by the staff who observed this disgusting filthy behaviour in a place where food is served.

Fantastic service from all the young staff team they couldnt have been more helpful and friendly. Food was fresh and good value we were all stuffed. We did wait quite awhile but given that there are so many restrictions in place we did not mind as the atmosphere and ambience was so welcoming and relaxing. Will definately come again when we visit family in area.

Sirloin steak was very poor. Could not finish it because it was tough and sinuous. I advised the gentleman behind the bar and he said it happens sometimes and would tell the kitchen. When he brought the desserts he never mentioned it so I didn't get an apology or explanation why. With the government discount it wasn't worth £7.25 let alone the full price of £14.49.
Very disappointed.

Excellent 3 course Sunday lunch and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return.

Absolutely wonderful vegan meal here with my family. Delicious and well thought out options, plentiful amount of food - especially important when taking hungry teenagers out for a meal lol!!!
Service was spot on and the safety measures were well thought out. Very clean and plenty of signs/sanitiser etc. Will be back again!!!!

Great food only thing was very slow service the table next to us got served first even though they come in after we did. Took 45 minutes to get the starters. Food makes up for the wait.

Went here for just a light supper. Opted for the vegan mushroom suet pudding which was delicious.

Excellent food, great value and very comfortable, but clearly needed more staff as the poor one waitress just couldn’t do everything or be every where which did effect our overall review of this pub. Would go back and give it another try though, but please have more staff on, thank you.

Understaffed between Christmas and New Year and the quality of the food along with the portion sizes were disappointing.
The 2 girls who were working the bar / restaurant were trying their best but it was far too busy for them to manage and so there were long waiting times between the order being taken and food arriving at the table.

We have had several very enjoyable meals at the Red Lion since it was reopened and the level of service, quality of food and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is pitched just right. It is becoming a firm favourite with us.
