Staff were friendly and helpful but didn't seem able to cope with size of the order (8 people). We waited ages for the food to come out and this spoiled the occasion. I had folks down from up north for my daughters pending 21st, she was on nights and literally had to wolf her food down to leave in time for work. The chef tried to help by serving himself but he seemed very flustered by the new menu. We had to wait ages to pay and ended up taking the payment to the waitress. The pub had filled up by now and they just seemed overwhelmed. The food was average and mixed but some items were not clear on the menu. My daughter ordered chicken carbonara and it came as a chicken portion on top of a plate of chips with sauce on top. We have never know carbonara not be a pasta dish.
A good pub with good food, me and my family went there becouse we wanted to eat tapas.
The tapas meny was excellet, good value for money and lots to choose from.
We also got to tapas plates with complements from the chef. Thank you, chef!
We will be back the next time we visit Colesmill.
Complements from Sweden!
Nice, friendly venue with a local feel. Good gin and wine availability. Menu is varied and the pizzas are excellent!
Very nice food , however it don't feel like your in a restaurant More like a cafe . It has not got the warm welcome feeling . Staff and service are very Good and food lovely . But the place needs to be made more welcoming
Not a place you go can and have a quiet meal, no dining area
Booked on open table when arrived staff did not have booking managed to bring two tables together
The lady that served us was very cheerful and friendly
We had a lovely meal and have recomended to all our friends to try it and see how wonderful the food is, the only thing i would fault was chairs not very comfy.
The service was the worst I have ever encountered. I booked ahead, two other tables occupied but kept waiting for over 40 mins for a nacho starter, then only to be told the ticket had not been looked at. Simply walked!
Really nice food. Was served by a very friendly member of the team. Pub could do with some TLC in parts.
At first it started off brilliantly, arrived early but was seated straight away, the young lady behind the bar (who was amazing) took our order. We had tapas and everything was beautiful, but then it went downhill, 2 men who work there walked round the area we were in and asked every other table how they were, how’s the food but ignored me and my girlfriend, this happened at least 10 times, we had planned on spending the evening there but left because of the lack of service!! The young lady came over to apologise but she was that busy behind the bar we knew it wasn’t her fault!!
We went on a steak night and booked a table..unfortunately I was called out and we had to move the table from 1930 - 2015 and by that time there were no rib eye steaks left. I had sirloin and my partner had rump and both steaks were cooked perfectly, although delivery of food took nearly 50 minutes (we weren't in any rush but for anyone that was, this would most certainly have been an issue and by the time the food came we were both very hungry and questioning why it took so long).
I live local and would always recommend this pub for both food and drink, so I'm not complaining, just highlighting!
